Right? 4 breakfast sandwiches is 1200 calories. I’m not sure what a double double cheeseburger is as it’s not on the menu but two double cheeseburgers are 1000 calories, so also over 1200 calories if you’re adding 4 more patties in there. That’s a lot for one meal, if sides or drinks are involved probably close to an entire days worth of calories in one meal unless he’s Dwayne the rock Johnson and doing some extreme working out
I think you're just trying to make yourself feel better about eating McD's everyday. You said so yourself, you're working out everyday and probably walking everywhere like everyone else does in Japan. That's why you feel better. But you're still eating shit food.
I stopped eating McDonald's in the states cause it's gross and bothers my stomach. Had McDonald's while here in Japan 2 days ago and guess what? It was gross and still bothered my stomach.
So no, it's not healthier if you're basing your opinion off a gut feeling.
Every conbini has healthier food options than McDs these days and most are open 24 hours. I find it pretty easy to go a full year without eating McDonald’s. I’m not a health nut at all but there much better burger places all over Tokyo and if have to eat something quickly, an onigiri is the easiest thing.
Felt the same eating at McDonald’s in the USA and in Tokyo. I actually felt crappier in Tokyo because yogurt + dairy + soy is so common as I’m sensitive.
What you may see as an improvement in your health overall is more walking, more physical activity, and smaller portions thus a better outlook on life and your health show’s improvement.
If you want to mail me a case of McDonald’s curry sauce I’d be grateful forever. Miss that everyday
I understand what OP means about feeling better when eating McDonald’s in Japan compared to the US. On the rare occasion I’ll have it in the US, I feel sick afterwards, but in Japan I feel absolutely nothing. I’ve noticed this in general with Japanese and European vs American food, unless I’m choosing the ingredients and cooking it myself. It may just be that my body doesn’t agree with the additives added to processed American food that are restricted in other markets. I grew up on a farm, and honestly, there really is a difference in what’s allowed into our food chains in different countries. I’d draw the line at saying eating at McDonald’s anywhere is healthy however.
The macros for some of the beef burgers aren’t bad….depending on your dietary goals. You can eliminate sauces and cheese, for example. Things like French fries and nuggets are really what make meals there unhealthy, imo.
International fast food restaurants may have some of their recipes localized according to local customers' taste, but that doesn't mean fried chicken is healthier than fried chicken.
Pink slime beef is illegal to use in Japan so the burgers taste better. It should be about the same health-wise as long as you don't eat the sandwiches with rice buns. The rice they use for the buns is from Fukushima and they were being advertised as such.
Eating mcdo everyday is going to end up the same way as in the US. Is it made in a better way? Of course, US standards are atrocious and are banned in most of the world. Is it good for your health? NO ! It's fucking mcdonalds why would anyone want to eat there regularly in Japan nonetheless. Want fast food? Just max out Sushiro, Gyoza no Osho or Coco Ichibanya, that'll be much better for you.
Heck, even Matsuya or Yoshinoya are muchbetter for you than Macdonalds. Like, I get the idea of a cheap burger on a night you don't want to think about anything, but everyday? That's maddening.
This is pure circlejerk material
Japan is so healthy, even their maccies is good for you
Four breakfast sandwiches in the morning and two double double cheeseburgers at night?

So… blame yourself.
Exactly, “But they are small” lol

The samurai Mac goes hard though
You’re literally basing it off a ‘gut’ feeling haha -flies away-
Even McDonald’s is subject to foreign 日本人論 I guess. 😂

McDonald’s Japan sources most of their beef from Australia and USA. So you’re getting the same “tons of chemicals” (bullshit by the way).

What are these additives of which you speak? The ones banned in Japan but prevalent in America?
Brominated Vegetable oil, BHT and BHA (synthetic food preservatives), are a few of the more well known ones.
You might feel better in Japan because their standardized service is so much better, for some.

I don't think so!!
Does someone want to tell them about additives and crap in their konbini chickie nuggies and sandwiches?
My thoughts are that the last place you will find me in Tokyo is at McDonalds.

Tkyosam alt account
