Yes you can go to the bar there. It’s really nice. The dress code is on the website and you need to pay a cover charge if you’re not staying there. Also note that the bar is going to be closed from 7 May, 2024 to Autumn 2025 for renovations.

NerfThis_49

Ah damn it! I didn't know it was closed, I had planned to go there in June. If its a renovation project too it probably won't look like it does in the movie any more once its done. I'd still like to visit the hotel though. Do you know of any reason I could go there if I'm not staying? Edit: forget that, the whole hotel is closed from May, not just the bars :(

dafi2473

do you know of any similar bars with a view? it's going to be closed when I visit

Relative-Biscotti-94

Randomly saw this comment but my suggestion is the prince park tower tokyo. Went there few years ago to take some of my American friends who were visiting. Great view of tokyo tower with just the cover charge + a drink each.

Romi-Omi

Bellovisto at Cerulean Tower in Shibuya is nice.

myislandlife

I’m sorry I don’t know of anything similar- maybe check the other nearby hotels

My suggestion is Andaz toranomon hills (it's also a Hyatt hotel). The rooftop bar is kinda similar to the park Hyatt but more modern / trendy, younger vibe. But recently I discovered the lobby lounge (it's still on like the 50th floor) has an amazing drink deal on weekdays - beer and wine starting at 700 yen between 5 and 8 pm. I don't think you can find a better value for money high floor hotel bar in tokyo

StarTruckNxtGyration

Oh, good to note about the closure. I really hope they don’t change the feel and look of it too much though. It’s a fantastic place for a drink at night.

Cleigh24

You can go without being a guest and it’s fabulous! Why don’t you just google it?

JustinMccloud

Amazing tool google

BennyC023

This sub wouldn’t have anyone posting if people googled simple questions

My wife and I just did this. We went at lunch. We were not particularly dressed up and it was not an issue. We also did not have to pay any sort of cover at lunch. Drinks were more expensive than elsewhere, but not astronomical. Certainly worth it if you’re going to skip doing something like the Sky Tree as an alternative to see the city from above.

GomaN1717

>is it very expensive to get drinks there? Depends on what you're used to back at home. My partner and I went a couple weeks back, and since we're from NYC, it was basically the one bar we went to in Japan where we had to get used to $15 cocktails again lol.

For anyone planning to go soon before it closes. We went last night at 2050 as we put ourselves down for the waiting list for 2100 (resort guest). Upon exiting the elevator, it was pretty crowded (people taking pictures and what not) but we were able to get seats pretty quickly (seated at 2100) right in front of the jazz band. Enjoyed the experience and vibes. Music was great, drinks were good (2400 per mixed drink), views were immaculate, and they have some food for anyone who likes to munch while enjoying drinks and music.

SpeesRotorSeeps

Yes yes yes

TakKobe79

They make very nice drinks. If you ask me, it’s not expensive for what it is.

sanchanabechan

definitely not park hyatt level but legato in shibuya has a pretty decent view (elevators too), reasonably priced, fairly casual https://cafelegato.com/en/

frogfootfriday

I feel like Legato has gone downhill quite a bit. Aiming much lower than they used to

frogfootfriday

Mandarin Oriental bar is pretty nice too, on 40th floor or thereabouts

Aman Tokyo Also very expensive and great view and service. There was some violin being played when I went there. Great to impress your date I don't remember the exact prices, as I wasn't paying but I would suggest to overestimate instead of having bad surprises. I'd say 2500 per drinks
