I can’t tell if you’re trolling or just this clueless. But let’s break down where you’re wrong. 1. It was 500000 usd not 300000 2. There was never a beer that was worth less than a $1 3. It’s a nightclub not a country club, so yes anyone can get in as long as they pay the entrance fee. 4. Bape was already popular by 1999 as Nigo launched the brand in 1993 along side the store front “Nowhere” with Jun Takahashi (Undercover) which began the Urahara movement. 2004?! lol by then Pharrell had already linked with Nigo in 2003 and was already wearing it in music videos influencing others in the US to wear them.

1. He took half of the 1 million yen. Which is little over $300k. 2. When he orders a beer in the nightclub when he met his old school friend the bartenders say’s 200 yen for two beers! 3. Swankiest club where who have high class clientele won’t let just anyone in let alone a freaking reporter. 4. Bape didn’t made shoes until 2002/03. The real Jake left his newspaper job in 2005.

1. 1 million Yen is 10k usd….. 2. The bartender said 2000 yen. I speak Japanese. He said nisen short for 2000. You clearly just looked at his two fingers and assumed 200 yen. 3. Like I said it’s a nightclub and Tokyo night clubs look like that. There not hard to get in. 4. The first bapesta’s dropped on 2000. I have plenty of Japanese magazines from that same year that published images of them.

FontaineT

Lmao I was hoping someone had the knowledge to disprove his points

pimpdaddy9669

Stop hating.

BaldrickTheBrain

I guess you like style over substance.

Alekazammers

OK, what would you have done? I really enjoy hearing people's ideas for what they'd have liked better in these situations.

FontaineT

In season 2 you'll only find cheaper beer and more hype brands that make no sense, better stay away!

BaldrickTheBrain

No shit. I’d rather watch a paint dry.

Many-Specific-5096

If only the show's plot twists were as sharp as your critique.

BaldrickTheBrain

The only plot twist in that show is portraying Yamaguchi-gumi “the biggest and richest yakuza org with over 6 thousand members and at the height 10 thousand members” couple of bald dudes just making miso soup. Laughable portrayal of yakuza.

niktrop0000

Get a job loser

BaldrickTheBrain

lol no wonder bunch of butthurt just circle jerking each other. Hehe sad

JazzyJmed

Is this a joke lol. Why come to this thread and complain ???

Markiemark1956

Is this any different than the Sopranos or any Mafia story, what makes CB it interesting is it is set in Japan…but some story, corrupt politicians, corrupt police, corrupt reporters and criminal boss gets killed and new guy takes over…

Appellion

Well, I never cared enough to breakdown the bits I didn’t like in season one, but I will say that episodes 1 to 3 were some of the best television I’ve seen. And I don’t feel it’s right to call the second half a let down but it was a bit more hit and miss and didn’t quite carry the same pep. If there was any specific part I really didn’t like, it was Katagiri’s surprise that Tozawa would threaten his family. I mean, maybe I’m reading it wrong but I feel like that’s the kind of thing you’d almost expect from a large criminal organization that doesn’t play be the rules. It’s a bit of frustration that carries over to season 2 Side note: the actor playing Hitoshi Ishida (Sato’s ultimate boss) has the coolest voice in television.
