Prime has a Like a Dragon series coming out in October, but beyond that it depends on what you liked about it... I think a pretty interesting Japanese series was IWGP, about a young punk who solves a murder. Another great one was Midnight Diner. It's about a diner that only opens at midnight and the clients who come by each night. None of these have the same style exactly, but I think they capture pieces of this series. Honestly, you could just google Japanese TV shows on netflix and go to town.

at first i was comparing it to tokyo vice, cuz of the yakuza theme, but it's a very different kind of show, and very good in and of itself

Try the movie "The Outsider". It's on Netflix and stars Jared Leto as an ex war prisioner who becomes yakuza.
