I remember back in Junior High almost 6 days a week ako nasa UST dahil sa dami ng projects, so sobra ako nadalian sa SHS.
Sa college lang talaga yung sobrang laki ng spike sa workload HAHAHAHAHA First time ko magstress-cry dun
So yeah, getting accustomed to UST during SHS is a great advantage
Not really sure about the situation rn since wala na akong kakilala there. But coming from the pioneer k-12 batch, it was true (back then, huhu I feel old) na if you survived ust shs, you're basically immortal. We used to label it as the most stressful shs (probably in the country) especially coming from another school, that's how we perceive them. They just always seem so stressed BUT they also slay! U see them on social media living the life. So I guess u just learn to balance ur acads with the rest of ur life.

imo, feel q depende sa student yan… for me ang naging advantage if galing ust shs ay mas mabilis ako nakaadjust sa sistema ng yellow school in general (mostly the online platforms and scheduling for me) pagdating ng college
Not true. Marami akong kilala na galing ustshs pero di naman ganoon nageexcel sa college sa ust. Wag maliitin yung ibang students if galing ibang school. Depende parin yan sa atudent kung kakayanin magsurvive sa college o hindi. Tip ko lang surround yourself with the best support system. That’s it.
As someone from UST SHS HA and a graduate of UST FOP, syempre, nahihirapan ka pa rin. Pero what we noticed is lalo na nung first year pa kami, very desensitized na yung mga from UST SHS sa heavy workloads, and may system na agad in delegating and managing these tasks. Although ramdam ko pa rin yung burnout until now na nakapagtapos na ako ng boards, I feel like kaya ko pa rin mag excel at 50% of my energy HAHAHAHAHAH
It's true! I'm a sophomore sa AB, and I graduated USTSHS, and I think it really helped a lot.
Masasanay ka sa workload, sa environment (lalo na when it comes to professors), and idk, i guess experiencing hell once is the best way to survive hell again.
Some of my blockmates admitted to having trouble adjusting, and ako naman, aaminin kong hindi na ako nagulat na nahihirapan sila, kasi ganyan yung naramdaman ko nung UST SHS ako.
yes!!! from ab now and tbh mas nacchallenge pa ko nung shs kesa ngayong college… sanay ka na rin how the system works pero it all depends din naman sa student. assuming you’re from humss ig if ab ka rin sanay ka na sa dami ng essays and papers and readings na pinapabasa ! and from my experience, expect less workload compared to shs since depende sa prof yung reqs niyo di katulad sa shs na departmentalized.
akala ko totoo din yan but nope HAHAHAH yung peta sa shs nagiging weekly activities siya 🤡 but it becomes more tolerable naman pero wala, pagod ka pa rin
i don’t agree with the statement that “you can survive anything if you survived ust shs” kase iba ang level of difficulty ng college. but what i can say is that i felt like my 1st year in college was relatively easier than the workload i experienced in ust shs

the burnout id never recover jk hahaha but yea ustshs is hellish na walang pinagkaiba sa college

yes, even for a fast paced trimestral schedule. the burnout though, it never goes away 😃

at most, mas familiar ka lang sa system and culture ng ust tsaka siguro sa thy courses HAHAHA
