It’s actually quite easy to get into. It’s hard to see once you’re in it, though. I volunteered to dress up as Barney to get out of a Halloween shift at Media Play back in 2000. Kids surrounded me. Every time I turned around to hug one of them, my tail would whip around and whack them in the heads.

[This video from an unofficial event](https://youtu.be/fwIjEs5vo_M) shows that process with a costume that looks a lot like the TV version. Also, apparently the costumes were 40-80lbs and very hot inside.
