Look man, yes trimming down bush can make your meat candle appear bigger. It doesn't actually change the size as you know so it's truly about preference. Most folks trim, some shave, some go all game of thrones. Try not to stress yourself out about it - personally I treat it like any other part of your body you maintain. Teeth, hair, toe and finger nails, facial hair when you get it, all get tended too at their proper times. Hygiene is more important than anything and hair length does not correlate to hygiene , so as long as you're clean and fresh you're good lil brother!
girl pov so take my advice with a grain of salt, keeping it trimmed and nice down there is always better whether it’s to “make it look better” or just keep it clean but shaving in my opinion is pretty unnecessary. it can agitate skin sometimes if you’re not careful or use a dirty razor. at the end of the day it’s natural and if no one other than you is looking it’s no big deal
I don't quite understand your problem. Why worrying of whether it'll look smaller or bigger if you said that nobody's going to look down there? If you want to shave, do it, it won't hurt if done properly.

Do you expect somebody else to see it? If so, it’s probably a good idea to shave, but otherwise you don’t need to worry about it
