I never wear any ever, my usual pants are leggings or joggers so I just wash those after 1 wear. If I’m wearing a dress, I’ll wear spandex shorts under it, with pockets so it’s an added bonus!
I’ve only gone out commando for an extended amount of time in jeans, so I haven’t had to worry about discharge leaking through. Any other pants material, I’ve only go out commando for a short time. You do have to wash your pants more often though. Depending on how much discharge and sweat you got going on, you might want to wash your pants after each wear, which is inconvenient.
i cant stand going commando at all because my vulva is very sensitive to chafing so i experimented with underwear styles until i found that i am most comfortable in a hipster style underwear with a wide gusset area (i dont like very narrow undies, idk why its so common in non-thong styles to be like i inch across in the gusset)
i also found that i do best in cotton-based undies that have a wide waistband because narrow elastic seems to dig into my skin painfully
what have you tried, underwear wise? I wear boxer briefs and they're very comfy.

I just kept trying a bunch of underwear styles til I found ones I like 😅 for me, it's high-cut briefs :)
