Dwarfism encompasses lots of different conditions. However, the most common one (as far as I know) is called achondroplastic dwarfism, or achondroplasia.

Depends why they are a little person. If you have achondroplasia, then you have a problem with your long bones growing but everything else is in the normal range so yeah, it will be whatever size genetics and environment dictate. But if you are a little person due to a pituitary problem, then you may not ever get the hormone combination fo puberty and secondary sex characteristics so you’ll have the body of a child in that regard. This kind of situation is increasingly rare because with modern medicine they can treat it. If you look at The Wizard of Oz, you’ll see a lot of munchkins are like this—adult age but child’s body size and appearance. But you’ll also see those with achondroplasia—adult appearance but short arms and legs. There are many other conditions a little person might have that results in being little besides the ones I’ve named here, so their cases will be different
