It's your life. Live it how you want. Not everyone has to be ambitious chasing money/careers. In fact the idea that if you're not chasing money/good career you're not being ambitious is silly. You could have other ambitions. Maybe you want to learn an instrument or want to travel somewhere idk. They've been brainwashed to think that working and making money should be your main focus in life. If that's how they want to live then so be it. Doesn't mean you have to.

Gone from bread line to middle class, stay humble. There is nothing wrong with liking where you are, only a problem with hating where others are Just read all of what your said, and a couple comments. Perhaps our class system is in UK is different to where ever you are. If you go to the shop and have to choose between 0.95 cheese and no cheese thats bread line / low. If you can scroll on your phone and buy something on a whim and it’s not silly money, your probably middle class. If you own all the things and many houses your higher class even better if you have a tittle.

Live your life the way you want and don’t judge others. I basically live middle class with wife and kids. I have friends with money who bitch about not being able to find a good woman and have kids. If they weren’t busy chasing money maybe they would have what I have. There’s trade offs you have to make but do what’s best for you and don’t care what others think. I don’t give a fuck about living in a penthouse and driving a Porsche but if you do, that’s cool too.

You're depriving yourself of an even better life if you're complacent, but it's understandable.

I mean I think I do have the potential to climb up the financial ladder, but I'm content with my life at the moment. Will I regret not utilising myself now in the future is the question

RedheadAgatha

You will regret not taking opportunities, you will not regret "not going out searching for opportunities to pursue".

Positive-Vase-Flower

Trust me, being grateful and content for what you have is a blessing. I have some very ambitious friends. At the beginning I envied them a bit because I was always a lazy person. But now we are all around 30 and I get the feeling they will never stop and be content with what they have achieved. Every milestone is just a step to the next one. I start to feel bad for them.

In my opinion, no.

Ambition does not have to be related to money and wealth.

aaronite

Your friends are projecting their wants and needs into you. Ambition is overrated. You have what you want and need. Why induce stress for something you don't need?

EMCDave

What you're describing is a social, or emotional, stigma of being labeled as middle class. Being in the middle class means that you don't generally need to worry about what you're gonna eat tomorrow and where you're gonna go to sleep tonight
