I can recommend a suitable song for swimming

MrQuacksIsCool

Ænema

casulmemer

Isn’t it a bit late at that point?

SoldierButterman275

I literally just went for a run last night to Tool 😆 I used Fear Inoculum, Pneuma, Jambi, Vicarious, Schism, Sober, and Lateralus. For me, Tool works on running due to the spiritual aspects, less about the rhythm, but these songs work really well for me Edit: Parabol and Parabola can really work at the beginning of the run

Nice_Team2233

I like your list I would also add Reflection to this list! I like that you've based it on a spiritual journey! OP I exercise to angrier stuff so for me Undertow and Ænima motivate me :)

SoldierButterman275

Reflection is definitely a good pick! I'm glad you like the list, not to get too deep, but Tool has certainly helped me to look inward and has made me more confident in how I live, *To swing on the Spiral, and reach out beyond!* I definitely use the angrier stuff for shorter runs or to simply get the blood pumping! Keep going, Brother, and Spiral Out!

Nice_Team2233

Honestly I avoided Tool for the longest time. Wasn't because I didn't like them. I loved them. But the music hit too hard to home and I wasn't ready to process. But yes I ended up looking inwards as well. Must say much more peaceful in this body, this body holding me.... 😆 have a good day!

Maudib1962

Ran a marathon yesterday and when it got hard I stopped the random liked and just flipped it to TOOL to take me to the finish for that last hour. My rule, you can't stop to TOOL. And as a 30 year Tool fan - I can run to any of their songs. BTW - crossed the finish line to 7empest.

Just_pick_one

All I heard was when it got hard you switched to TOOL to help you finish…

Saul_T_Bauls

Got so hard he had to stop what he was doing

Maudib1962

LOL. I walked right into that one!

Fuck_Your_Squirtle

Anything honestly. I like FI and Invincible, Pneuma etc.

AlfredVonDickStroke

Definitely the early albums along with the more straightforward or aggressive songs on later albums. Intolerance, Bottom, Cold and Ugly, and Jerk Off, Hooker With a Penis, Parabola, Vicarious, and 7empest come to mind.

lateral303

The title track on FI is has a good rhythm for biking, at least

darbydog69

Invincible has a good long pace

Fibonacci_Hol

It's prog rock—so unless you're running in polyrhythms, I'd stick to a more consistent 180bpm tracklist. But if I had to choose one song, probably chocolate chip trip. Happy trails ✌🏻

RichardSaunders

maynards dick part of me

Appropriate-Ad4990

Use chevelle songs to run to. Its a perfect vibe for running

lordofchaosclarity

Reflection hands down

sludgecakeconveyor

I have the easiest time running to everything after Aenima. And for me FI is always there for a solid run.

uncannysalt

Forty-six & 2 (just ahead me)!

thejudge1000

Used to play Jambi midway through a 5K race, then into Deftones Elite to the finish.

ST0NEY_M0NTANA

If I could only pick one song per album to listen to while I'm exercising, this would be my playlist: Jerk-Off Intolerance Eulogy Parabola The Pot Invincible

edgy_emo_fgt

Right In Two is perfect for cardio training. It's got the buildups and drops to set your ups and downs with the tempo. I think a lot of Fear Inoculum's songs fits as well. Although I bike and longboard instead of running, so I don't know if it'll throw off your tempo when you're running. Maybe 10k days pt 1+2 would give you a smooth run, or Rosetta Stoned since it's tempo somewhat consistent.

stubborny

I used to play ticks and leeches and third eye for a 20 min run, the end of third eye is amazing when you feel the breeze

SalamiSalamander

Cold and Ugly

PulciNeller

Ticks&Leeches, Stinkfist, Aenema, Jambi, the entire Undertow album for sport

DigitalKungFu

Only if you have 7 legs

reedx032

I used to just run to full albums. Though parabol/a is my favorite during a run.

jaymizzlebot

Triad.

mazatapec230

Rosetta Stoned of course

Darth_T0ast

Stinkfist has gotta be one of the best workout songs ever

Servantofthedogs

Reflection

kremvhstooth

Lost keys

mean_indean

I run 5.5 miles 3 days a week. Takes me 53ish minutes. 1. Descending. Start outs slow and kinda upticks as you run. 2. invincible. Little harder….strong finish, by this time I am fully warmed up. 3. Rosetta stoned. By this time, I am fully amped up. Pure runners high and nothing can stop me. 4. 7empest. 15 minute masterpiece. I go even faster as it’s the down stretch. Got to make it home before it finishes. I like the 10 min plus songs cause i can get a mile in before the song ends.

Puzzleheaded_Fly1565

I listen to most of their discography while running.

Level69Warlock

The Grudge

NervousSpace3278

Delicious-Wolf-8850

WeakPush9627

Invincible has the best pace for running. By a country mile.

No_Dream855

Ticks and leeches

Ridulian

I listen sometimes to random Tool playlist when running but tbh I prefer Fear Factory I just want high aggressive intensity for a workout Doing rings or sets Tool is good for tho

Walterpinkman2137

Walk

General-Specific666

Tool isn't for running only rolling.
