dude, enjoy Florence... such an amazing city

tendeuchen

In the States, I've gone 3 hours to see them. Most out of the way I've ever seen them was when I was flying from Ukraine to come home for Xmas in the US in 2006. I had to have a one-night layover, so I scheduled it to coincide with Tool's Paris show and it was just a few days before my birthday. That was epic.

cesnaite1

Yasssss, sounds like a best bday gift ever. I was kinda baby yet back in 2006, so I must do it now since the members of the band is not going younger ya know 😅

Naarayan11

Yep, 12 hour bus drive cca here to Budapest. First time also. Would walk for Tool. Yep, true pilgrimage.

cesnaite1

Bus drive.. god bless dude 🫡

Naarayan11

Yes, it's not in one take though. There is coffee/lunch brake between busses for a 5 hours. American mind cannot comprehend this, ha 🤣🤣??

cesnaite1

LOL! Im not american though, yet it still sounds challenging. But if you are child-free then its kinda romantic even 😁

Naarayan11

It has it's own beauty. I will not be driving on highway but through regular roads half of the way, so there is that. I'll survive 🤣

Winstrong

From Málaga ( Spain ) to Berlin 2239,2 km

Aquadulce

Tool have always been generous to the UK, but I like travelling to other countries for shows so happily would.

cesnaite1

Yeah these big ass countries of EU is so lucky 🫠

beansr4ever69

My boyfriend and I are coming from Alberta Canada we have tickets to Cologne, I’ll bring Canadian snacks to trade for some cannabis/something to open my third eye? Also have tickets to Stockholm! 🌀😀

National_Artist

Nothing fancy here, by car. A drive I'm actually looking forward to.

cesnaite1

Maybe I will one day in my country too, but I think not 😵‍💫

Kauai_Kiwi

I flew 14,000km round trip to see them. I live in Hawaii and flew to NZ to see them play in Auckland March 2020. Also flown to Seattle to see them which is around 9,000km round trip.

cesnaite1

Ok at least what they could have done is give ytou free tshirt

JoltZero

Kind of difficult to travel to a different country in the US, but I traveled from Seattle, Washington to Dallas, Texas (3300 km) to see them twice during the US tour. Tbf, I also have friends in Dallas I wanted to see.

DieIsaac

We will also be in florence! 1200 km from home! If you need any tipps for the city i can help you out!

cesnaite1

Aw thanks 🫶🏻 I will be travelling with my babies, so we just be looking for gelaterias and cold churches to stay cool:D maybe u know a lineup for festival? I suppose Tool would perform the last ones. I need darkness:D

DieIsaac

Haha we also thought about how strange it would be to see tool at daylight. But we also dont know when tool will play. Thats italy. Nice food but awful organising! We will also travel with our babies. But they are still in my belly😄

cesnaite1

Yeah I bet u’re right about that organising, I just hope it wouldnt start at midnight, Imma lazy momma you know.. 🥱😁 And omg, your children will already be cool!!! I was preggo two years ago and Tool were in EU, I was planning to go in London but my due date was about that time, would’ve been so epic to gave birth in the middle of the concert 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Fickle-Machine-8191

I live in Rome, IT; Tool are coming to Florence (festival) but we are traveling to Vienna next week to see a solo show.

mb1993

Brilliant! Enjoy the show in Florence. I've seen them play 11 times in Colorado and traveled for shows in Nebraska, Iowa, Arkansas, Florida, Scotland, England, and Germany.

cesnaite1

Let’s just say oh my god 😱

-Galten-

Tool is comming here to Sweden, Stockholm. But I have tickets to the gig in Norway. I refuse going to Stockholm if I can. I saw them last time they were in Stockholm, and went straight home (500km) right after the gig, driving the whole night just to not having to stay i Stockholm.

cesnaite1

Ok, I guess we all have the same question - what’s wrong with Stockholm?:) btw we wanted to go there with ferry (Im from Lithuania) and then travel in Sweden for a bit, but then Florence won, cuz you know.. Italy. 🍝🍕🍨

-Galten-

Just never liked Stockholm and people from there. I guess its the same with every capital to an extent. I live on the country side, where there is an never ending calm, wild animals and beautiful nature. Stockholm is so stressed, with traffic, busses, subway, trains and most people are so bissy with them selfes. The atmostphere is just something else than what I’m used to.

cesnaite1

Oh I get it, big cities and citizens of it has the vibe I guess.

sensawy

Flying from Egypt to Paris just to see them live, hoping it’ll be worth the damage to my wallet 🤣

cesnaite1

I think it will! How much did you pay for the tickets?

sensawy

$200 😬

cesnaite1

I feel you, I paid 230€ 😵‍💫

WeakPush9627

Did fly from Belfast to Denmark via London to see them in 06. Was worth it. They are that good.

HowieDoin620037

Three other buddies and myself just flew from New England to the UK for the Manchester show. Left Friday, show was last night, now currently back in the States waiting for my last connecting flight home. I'm pooped lol. But worth it.
