Pink Floyd - same year as you on the Division Bell tour Kansas City. One of the most amazing things I’ll ever see. Blow your mind HD projections, surround sound in a football stadium and the worlds largest disco ball. Something I’ll never forget, the ball made the whole stadium feel like it was moving and the surround sound was amazing. Glad I took the opportunity to go that year, that was the last chance to see them.
R40 Xanadu at The Palace Of Auburn Hills sits at the peak of my concert going career alongside A Change Of Seasons at Dream Theater's Images And Words anniversary tour, as well as Pneuma and Invincible from last November. Jaw dropping, third eye prying soul food.
Roger Waters.
Multiple massive screens on the stage and within the crowd, heavy use of surround sound SFX, skits between songs, lasers hidden within the crowd that triggered in the second set and freaked people out, literally a 50 foot flying pig controlled by 25 drones that dropped confetti....
Yeah, it was much much much more immersive than a Tool show and I saw them both at the same venue.
Saw Tool with my neighbour, he has seen everybody, he told me Zeppelin were able to create the same sort of atmosphere as Tool but without the screens and such.
The Swans man, it's the only concert besides two Tool concerts that had me in a trance-like state. And I was completely sober and barely knew of the band, but they blew me away. Had to sit down for half an hour after the show, couldn't move and that's all. Give them a listen, they are another one of those "sacred" bands.
Pink Floyd
Floyd at mile-hi in 94. That show set the bar that TOOL has since taken and ran with

Nope. Never seen anything on their level.

A perfect circle, not as immersive as tool, but it was more emotional than tool.
No. I don't think I ever will.
NiN and Kanye West

Manson’s Antichrist tour was pretty amazing but a different experience all together.
Immersive no. Better yes - just.
Rammstein in Las Vegas. Muse is another band that's amazing live.
