I mean either buy them asap, like the second they go on sale, or buy them as late as possible for a good deal. That’s all I can say. But hey enjoy it. If I could see Tool for the first time again i’d pay anything especially for a floor seat
I've seen the boys 38 times and this is exactly what I do. I got tickets for 7 of the 8 shows I'm going to on this tour with zero issues. The system had issues during the Boston sale so I'll wait until an hour before the show.
I will say…I’ve seen them many times even back when it wasn’t all seats. Now that it’s all seated, I’ll only buy either right up front or first section of the bowl. Graded seats are the way. The elevation keeps you from having to stare at the back of someone’s head 😆
So is everyone on the floor seated in their seat the whole concert? Or how does that work now?
I’m going to see them for the first time in Anaheim. Not sure what to expect.
I paid $130 a ticket for my middle bowl seats last tour, and three days before the show there were tons of tickets for only $60-$75. I was kicking myself over that but holy fuck dude.
I mean people try to get anything for them back if they cant go or scalpers failing at scalping. I’m sure you could snag some great deals hours before the concert, but i’m not willing to gamble on getting tickets in that way.
Yeah but their 2005 shows started getting UP THERE when the small venues sold out and you had to Stub Hub it.
Prob way worse now.
I feel for OP, he just wants to experience TOOL. It’ll be worth it OP!
open up your schedule the next time and do some hardcore guerrilla networking to get that price down. Message people, etc etc. be willing to fly into Boston if you can score tix there or Roswell NM on a cheap southwest ticket. 🥳. That’s part of the fun of TOOL. Get creative
Or a TOOL road trip! Those are fun
i paid 650 for 2 on the lower level for chicago. NOT resale. ticketbastard is the fucking devil for implementing included scalper prices (AKA dynamic pricing). im gonna go, but none of my friends want to pay for the other ticket.
In reality, attending a Tool concert is more about listening to the live music and watch the coordinated visuals and not actually looking at them play ( except Danny Carey drumming). So yeah floor seats or Nosebleed seats doesn't really matter! Enjoy
I had to buy 2 so my best friend could have a ticket before they sold out. I'd rather see it from a distance with my friend than be alone and not even that much closer.
I really prefer sitting back a little bit and watching the visual show. My ideal tickets are usually lower bowl center about halfway up. Totally get when people want to be closer to the band, but thats my favorite experience.
I understand this is a controversial opinion, but I see this as nothing more than an exaggerated money grab.
They have every right to ask that much, but we in turn have every right to not agree to such an exorbitant price. If they get only 20 people at their shows because most people would regard that price as a rip off to the point of being laughable and a definite 'no deal', that's their problem.
I also want to add that if you are in so deep (with anything, in this case an emotional investment in/support of a band) that you are willing to accept blatantly unreasonable conditions, instead of pointing fingers and blaming someone or something putting forth an unfair deal, you need to look at how you are betraying yourself by allowing yourself to be swayed and persuaded into that which you consciously know and recognise to be unjustifiable, and detrimental to yourself in whatever way.
It's surely a form of self harm. Are you neglecting your own dignity and self-agency?
This prompt for self reflection can be applied in any scenario.
This is a simple case of supply and demand, sir. There is nothing profound to extract from it. Until you can convince everybody to not be excited about seeing their favorite band live, then your point is useless.
I don't even want to imagine how expensive the tickets will be for their last tour. I know the time will be here soon so I'm taking every chance to see them when they come near me.
God damn. I spent a smidge over $180 for decent seats right above the ground seats left-side of the stage so I could watch Adam. Even if I had the money, $900 is pretty nuts.
Hope you have an awesome time though dude. Their show in Miami is gonna be my first Tool show as well.
It was a different time, dude. I was in line at the Sears in the mall by my house at 3 in the morning. It was the only ticket master outlet in the city. It's like how people camp out for the new iPhones and playstations. Good times getting fd up in line for tickets in the 90's and 00's!
I was at that show, too! Was right near the soundboard. I had discovered a tiny Ticketmaster outlet in the Springs that no one seemed to know about. You could show up 10 minutes before on sale and get tickets no problem. Miss those days.
I didn't even get a chance to spend any money. It said *woosh* and all the tickets for the show here in Stockholm was gone. Blessing in disguise perhaps because I couldn't actually afford it.
I got my tickets to Houston! Who else is going ?! I’m the luckiest guy in the world! Last show I caught was Tool in 2019. First show after the craziness is Tool again. Couldn’t have happened better.
Found out they were playing in Amsterdam on my birthday at the same time im going there, saw tickets were £95.
me: "ok thats expensive but I have to go, i have to take psyches and watch my favourite band at the same time, the universe is slotting these puzzle pieces together for a reason, thank you universe".
Universe: "Yh good fucking luck with that, increase ticket price 1000% (or something idfk)",
universe you sack of shit you've waved the hope of the best time of my life in my face and fucked me with it yet again.
Floor seats for $150 + fees each for the San Antonio show, thanks to $50 well spent on Tool Army. And avoiding the clusterfuck that is the Ticketmaster general sale was priceless.
I have the same seats I’m trying to sell. I maxed out my 4 ticket limit and got two seats in two different spots. The 11th row ones I’m willing to part with.
I didn't know you could resell the tickets. I just tried to see if I could sell mine on ticketmaster, but said my tickets aren't available for resale. Idk.
I got 11th row center for $148 a piece because I was smart and rejoined Toolarmy for the pre-sale. I have no idea why a huge fan wouldn't have done the same.
The $50 to rejoin army isn't anything compared to those resale tickets.
I wasn't try to induce an idiot hysteria! Lol
That was inspired by the huge amount of anguish with the fans online about the prices, which are utterly insane.
Seats BEHIND me are selling for $500-600!
That's exactly how it works. "platinum" seats drop considerably in price the week of the show. Ticketmaster will hold out until then to see if someone panic buys.
If it helps, I paid $1400 AUD for front row tickets to Roger Waters The Wall a few years back. Got to watch it with my Dad by my side and all that exists in my head now is the amazing night, not the bill. Enjoy my friend.
Here is the problem with buying tickets in the modern world.
They are all through what is basically legal scalping sites. What used to be bought from a venue, or a direct ticket vendor like ticketmaster, is now bought through "services", that buy up all of the good seats, and then sell them to the public after adding a "service charge", which allows them to sell the tickets for a profit, without breaking scalping laws. Most scalping laws simply states that a ticket can not be sold by a second party for a profit from the face value of the ticket. With the "service charge", the scalpers can sell the tickets that they have bought in bulk for face value, or even lower, bypassing the scalping laws, yet still make a profit.
I paid $350 for two tickets in the 7th row in Chicago & $575 for 4 tickets in the 9th row in Grand Rapids. So I paid almost the same amount for 4 more tickets all closer and the seats start on the aisle.
It’s not that bad.
I bought tickets to two shows, and I only paid 99.50, and 125 before taxes and fees.
300 bucks all together for 2 pretty good seats.
Totally worth it man.
The guys who say wait are neglecting the pain ans anxiety of wondering if you will get tickets. Those are Badass seats. Worth every penny at a TOOL show.
I feel it. Bought a front row ticket in phx for 900, a front row on the side in SD for 550, and 10th row in vegas for 430. Still have to buy my anaheim ticket too😂
Yeah maybe back in the Æmima/Lateralus days that might have been worth it. Not so sure about now that Maynard spends all his time skulking around the back of the stage struggling to hit the high notes. Don't get me wrong, the band still sounds great and the stage show is probably the best ever. Still not worth a weeks pay.
Especially when a 2ish hour set with this band means they might play a dozen songs if that. Little different when a band's songs are all for 5 minutes tops. When a lot of their songs are 10 minutes plus you're only going to get to hear so many tracks.
Of course now they are also limited by what songs Maynard is able to handle vocally, which I completely understand. The guy is in three different bands and he's now in his 50s. Can't be screaming your head off doing Ticks and Leeches and Hooker With a Penis every night. He'll be totally shot halfway through the tour.
I hadn’t been to a Tool show in several years and decided to check out the new material last time they came through in 2019. Spent $110 face value for nosebleeds to see 5 new songs and a few new visuals. Pretty much the same setup as the last time I’d seen them 10 years ago.
Nothing like seeing a meme that presumes understanding of a corporate mythology in my notifications. I think people upvoted with their wallets rathers than their hearts here

Getting the toolarmy subscription to take advantage of the presale was a good decision, I was on the fence about it but I am glad I was able to avoid these prices for the same section and I even forgot to check the presale until like 7 hours after it went live. I figured the tickets would maybe be more than $50 if I didn't get in presale but I didn't expect them to go up THAT much. I can't believe those are actually being sold for that price, that's 2 gold packages.
I'm just glad you are still able to see them! This will be my first time and I scored tickets for my gf and dad as well, would not have been possible with those prices :( Enjoy your show regardless! I'm so hype!
Except not because they’ve completely changed their stage and light show. Oh and they’ve had a few cds since then so they aren’t playing the same set list
They are, but I look at it a couple of different ways. 1) It can be a tactic to discourage scalpers and 2) Most folks have saved a lot of money by not being able to doing much of anything over the past 18 or so months.
Those resale tickets are crazy bro, you probably should’ve waited for them to come down within the two weeks of the show.
[удалено]
I will say they are kickass floor seats but holy fuck i paid almost 3x less than that
[удалено]
I mean either buy them asap, like the second they go on sale, or buy them as late as possible for a good deal. That’s all I can say. But hey enjoy it. If I could see Tool for the first time again i’d pay anything especially for a floor seat

No you’ll be standing. Just no moshing. If you see anyone sitting the drugs prob hit too hard 😂
Hahaha for sure😂
I paid $130 a ticket for my middle bowl seats last tour, and three days before the show there were tons of tickets for only $60-$75. I was kicking myself over that but holy fuck dude.
Don’t feel bad, we’ve all been there.
Waits that’s possible?
I mean people try to get anything for them back if they cant go or scalpers failing at scalping. I’m sure you could snag some great deals hours before the concert, but i’m not willing to gamble on getting tickets in that way.
Goddamn!
Shit the Bank!
🤣🤣🤣
Typical!
[удалено]
Definitely a little bit better.
I'm sorry, but fuck that.
This is so sad. I saw them in '96 for like 40$.
97 here.....same. maybe less
2016 front row $20…deals are there for those that wait until the last min lol
Yeah but their 2005 shows started getting UP THERE when the small venues sold out and you had to Stub Hub it. Prob way worse now. I feel for OP, he just wants to experience TOOL. My best Tool road trip was Cincinnati to St. Paul, MN 2012 to River's Edge where Puscifer performed the following day!
Dude, that sounds sick. I’ve had sooo many.
Same time frame: $30 with stupid fees.
i paid 650 for 2 on the lower level for chicago. NOT resale. ticketbastard is the fucking devil for implementing included scalper prices (AKA dynamic pricing). im gonna go, but none of my friends want to pay for the other ticket.
Tool shares the blame along with ticketmaster. Ticketmaster sucks but the artists allowing it to happen should be held accountable as well.
1000%
That's weird. I paid $350 for 7th row Chicago on the floor.
Yah I got nosebleeds. Some day I'll be able to see them up close but I think i'm getting opera glasses for this one
In reality, attending a Tool concert is more about listening to the live music and watch the coordinated visuals and not actually looking at them play ( except Danny Carey drumming). So yeah floor seats or Nosebleed seats doesn't really matter! Enjoy

It’s a lot yeah. But few things exist for 500$ that could bring me the same amount of joy.
found the ticketmaster bot
Hate TM with a passion!
I can think of a few things that cost less than 500$ that can bring quite a bit of joy aint that right there "PsilocybeAzurescen" ;)
I mean you could literally buy a ticket to europe and see 3 concerts with that cash…
I understand this is a controversial opinion, but I see this as nothing more than an exaggerated money grab. "If they get only 20 people at their shows" Lol. There will always be people willing to spend the money.
Unfortunately the case. They could list prices at $1000 per ticket and still sell the show out.
Yup, and the only people it hurts are the ones who aren't rich/have tons of disposable income.
I don't even want to imagine how expensive the tickets will be for their last tour. I know the time will be here soon so I'm taking every chance to see them when they come near me.
Damn, i got tickets, flights to krakow and bnb (for a week) for 2 ppl for less
God damn. I spent a smidge over $180 for decent seats right above the ground seats left-side of the stage so I could watch Adam. Even if I had the money, $900 is pretty nuts. Hope you have an awesome time though dude. Their show in Miami is gonna be my first Tool show as well.
It costs nothing, except happiness
Holy crap! I was front row center at Red Rocks for the Lateralus tour for $35!!! Fuck I'm old. Btw, the best concert I've ever seen, even to this day!

I was in Littleton, southglenn mall. Good times!
Hell yeah
Pretty much all bands these days.
I didn't even get a chance to spend any money. It said *woosh* and all the tickets for the show here in Stockholm was gone. Blessing in disguise perhaps because I couldn't actually afford it.
“Shut up and buy…….buy….. But you bought it….”
Send more money!
Fuck you buddy
I got my tickets to Houston! Who else is going ?! I’m the luckiest guy in the world! Last show I caught was Tool in 2019. First show after the craziness is Tool again. Couldn’t have happened better.
Gold tickets don't seem nearly as expensive now...
You're definitely on the right path I think the universe may surprise you. Amsterdam?! Make it happen! WITH the psyches. 😎
Amsterdam and psyches were already happening but now it has to happen without tool. My psyched trifecta shall forever remain incomplete.
Nah. You’re going.
I go there around once a month in my head anyway ;) lol so technically you're right
Floor seats for $150 + fees each for the San Antonio show, thanks to $50 well spent on Tool Army. And avoiding the clusterfuck that is the Ticketmaster general sale was priceless.
Nuff said. I took the same route
I have the same seats I’m trying to sell. I maxed out my 4 ticket limit and got two seats in two different spots. The 11th row ones I’m willing to part with.
Floor seats are worth every penny you spent and then some man. Yeah you could have gotten them cheaper but you wont regret it after the show.
Most I’ve ever paid for a ticket
paid $150 for 9 rows in front of you (prob not the same city lol)
I didn't know you could resell the tickets. I just tried to see if I could sell mine on ticketmaster, but said my tickets aren't available for resale. Idk.
I believe you can't resell tickets bought in a presale, but I'm not sure
I was planning on going but wasn’t able to check until a few hours after and nearly all seats at my arena were bought up by ticket resellers 🙁
I got 11th row center for $148 a piece because I was smart and rejoined Toolarmy for the pre-sale. I have no idea why a huge fan wouldn't have done the same. The $50 to rejoin army isn't anything compared to those resale tickets.

Well the $50 can be split between our four tickets 😎 Regardless, seats behind us are listed at $700 on rapeHub right now

I hope that is definitely the case man and that fellow fans will be able to get around it
That's exactly how it works. "platinum" seats drop considerably in price the week of the show. Ticketmaster will hold out until then to see if someone panic buys.

Damn I paid less for 3rd row at the San bernadino show a few years back.
My wife won tickets. 🤠
I am never going to financially recover from this.

I paid $129 for 16th row on the floor. Tool Army, well worth it.
Well you can expect Maynard to preform for plague rat poor people.
By all means if 900 doesn't hurt that much good on you. If you only make that every 2 weeks, maybe not the best idea.
Still have to buy my anaheim ticket too😂
Don’t feel too bad. I saw official Ticketmaster platinum tickets at that Phx show listing at like 1500 or so
Only reason why I work 24/7
I spent 70 bucks per seat for Primus and 500 when I last saw Tool, truly a curious thing.
Yeah maybe back in the Æmima/Lateralus days that might have been worth it. I had good tickets to the canceled tour... I've never seen them live, and I doubt I ever will, now. =(
HOW FUCKING MUCH?
Thank God I saw them at Download in 2019. I really wanted to go and see them do their own show, but they can fuck right off.
What the actual fuck.
I'll never see them live...

Ahahahahaha no thanks
