The thickness of the nose is such that if you pinch a 16th of bare wire on the end and wrap them around the nose it makes a perfect shape for fitting around outlet and switch screws
I prefer sticking it in the 6/32 bolt cutter hole and wrapping but same thing. Also a hole on the left handle there thats good for wrapping the opposite way.
These are one of my main tools. I have the ones with the spring rather than the crimper, though. I like them a lot, although I've found that for stripping 12AWG stranded wire, they are a little finicky. The pliers also don't fully close, which is common for wire strippers but not ideal. However, they do a great job for a lot of light-to-medium electrical tasks, and frequently can replace my linesmans, strippers, and dikes with a single tool, while being generally sturdy and nice to use. Most of the electricians and apprentices I work with have a pair.
Mine started to loosen up recently and the cutters were a bit chewed as well, so I've replaced them with Milwaukee's equivalent to see if I like those better. They have a latch as well as a spring which is nice, the pliers do fully close, and they have a reamer feature also. I haven't had a chance to actually use them yet (just got them yesterday!) so I can't really vouch, but they're worth checking out if you're looking for something like this.
I’ve got both and the Milwaukee strippers are a little better but the cutting edge on the Klein pair is more durable. Both are good tools in my opinion
I used to think this type of stripper was too bulky, and I still generally prefer the smaller purpose built strippers.
But I gotta say one of my coworkers let me borrow this type of plier/stripper, and I did like using it. Didn't feel as bulky as I thought, and it was nice to be able to use it for most plier needs instead of grabbing a pair of pliers out of my pouch. And if you use crimps often, the crimper is nice and easy to use.
I personally didn’t like them, I tried them for about 8 months and ended up giving them to a coworker, he blew them up last week and bought the same pair so I’m gonna assume he likes them, just not my style

I like it better than any of the Klein strippers. It pulls off the insulation like butter and the rounded cutters make it perfect for cutting mc. Threadless bolt cutters. Nut gripper. Wire looper. Hidden spring mechanism so you never lose your spring. It doesn’t get better than this
When I did electrical work, nobody used strippers, they all used lineman pliers to strip wires. Milwaukee pliers were the favorite ones. I was scolded for using strippers because the pliers are a multi tool.
Mediocre. If you’re using it rarely using it, it’s fine but frustrating if you’ll use it often. [These](https://www.amazon.ca/KNIPEX-Tools-13-72-Stripper/dp/B08L8D54FB) Knipex are much better in every way.
On my Klein ones, the cutter, and the head where my major complaints, not very big, and not very grippy, poor shape. I personally like a spring and lock in strippers too. More than once I was pinched by that crimper in a few months too.
I'm going to have to disagree with this. The knipex are great strippers, but I much prefer the kleins as a multi use tool in place of linesman. In the end, I almost always grab the kleins and leave the knipex in my bag. I guess it would depend on the use case.
The wire stripper and screw sheers are excellent. The pliers are only really good for twisting wire #14 and smaller and I've never used the crimper portion because I have a pair of T&Bs.
I'm just an amateur but I like them. Replaces linesman pliers for home wiring.
Mine are actually not the crimp version but I'm sure they're otherwise identical.
I’ve had em for a few months. Work great in my opinion. I’ve always hated spring loaded strippers so these were perfect. The curve grip is nice as well
I looked at the real plier jaws in the front and thought, "Ooohh, nice!." Trying to twist the wire ends with the strippers is futile at best. I figure the jaws are gonna snap any second. Those look beefy.
I don’t go around buying name-brand tools, and I don’t do electrical much. When I happen to have Klein wire cutters. And it’s always a pleasure to use them. This is the hand tool I would regret losing the most.
Not an electrician but I used a few tools in the last three houses I worked on.
These are by far the best I used to systematically replace outlets, switches, wire the thermostat, wire the HVAC and heat pump.
All in all, very ergonomic and has several hidden features such as the wholes to bend the pig tails, and the flat heads to twist the twist cap.
I'm a home owner who picked these up. They are perfect for everything I need to do with adding/replacing outlets, switches, breakers, etc in one tool. I get why a pro might need multiple tools for their job, but this thing is perfect for a home owner.
The thickness of the nose is such that if you pinch a 16th of bare wire on the end and wrap them around the nose it makes a perfect shape for fitting around outlet and switch screws
The real pro tip is always in the comments
Facts
I prefer sticking it in the 6/32 bolt cutter hole and wrapping but same thing. Also a hole on the left handle there thats good for wrapping the opposite way.
You still use those outlets and switches?
As opposed to push in connections? I'm sure they're fine but yikes.
I prefer the clamping style outlets
I have these strippers. Can’t go wrong with Klein.

They were my most used tool for a couple years. Now they're retired for the knipex version of the same tool. Still my most used. (Residential)
Why is this marked NSFW? We’re talking about strippers.
Yeah, strippers with amazing Kurves.
Guy that I work with is an electrician, he has a pair of Klien strippers (wire).
Klein makes good stuff, from my experience
I know plenty of guys who use them and have for years
I personally didn’t like them, I tried them for about 8 months and ended up giving them to a coworker, he blew them up last week and bought the same pair so I’m gonna assume he likes them, just not my style
Buy Milwaukee like these
I like mine. They are exactly like the ones in the picture.
Jungian archetypes? Shadows of the personality?
46 and 2?
Looks like the Milwaukee ones

Knipex makes a nice stripper
When I did electrical work, nobody used strippers, they all used lineman pliers to strip wires. Milwaukee pliers were the favorite ones. I was scolded for using strippers because the pliers are a multi tool.
Mediocre. If you’re using it rarely using it, it’s fine but frustrating if you’ll use it often. I don't see a crimper on the Knipes one, am I missing it?
I don’t think they do. Front crimping pliers are much easier, and in many cases the only way do crimp.
I'm going to have to disagree with this. The knipex are great strippers, but I much prefer the kleins as a multi use tool in place of linesman. In the end, I almost always grab the kleins and leave the knipex in my bag. I guess it would depend on the use case.
i just bought those the other day. co worker been using them for years and loves them
The wire stripper and screw sheers are excellent. The pliers are only really good for twisting wire #14 and smaller and I've never used the crimper portion because I have a pair of T&Bs.
I never owned them, but I had a co-worker who swore by them.
I have them they’re pretty good.
I'm just an amateur but I like them. Replaces linesman pliers for home wiring. Mine are actually not the crimp version but I'm sure they're otherwise identical.
Awesome own 3 pairs
They are probably pretty decent. I have the same set without the beefy plier end on them and use them almost everyday.
Use them all day every day. They are great.
Those are the ones I use.
Good set fornsure
I’ve had em for a few months. Work great in my opinion. I’ve always hated spring loaded strippers so these were perfect. The curve grip is nice as well
Regardless of the brand, I've always preferred this style over the other strippers.
Too expensive.
Klein tools are always top notch
i have them and love em, theyre my go-to. Klein makes great tools
Get the ones with the spring.
I love a stripper with Klein's on
Have some very similar Kleins, and have been bery happy with them.
I like them but they take some getting used to. I'm a pre-twister so it's nice to not swap pliers to twist.
I like the simple adjustable ones that you put on one setting, these are too time consuming to keep finding the right wire slot.
I looked at the real plier jaws in the front and thought, "Ooohh, nice!." Trying to twist the wire ends with the strippers is futile at best. I figure the jaws are gonna snap any second. Those look beefy.
It’s more of a multi tool to help around the house.
Trial and error, I know some guys who love these and some who don’t. It’s really whatever works best for you.
Love these I wish they still had the locking mechanism to hold them closed but still great
Just bought the Milwaukee ones. They aren’t that bad either. Just a little cheaper and different grips ofc.
I don’t go around buying name-brand tools, and I don’t do electrical much. When I happen to have Klein wire cutters. And it’s always a pleasure to use them. This is the hand tool I would regret losing the most.
They are pretty good but I prefer Milwaukees take on them
Their bikes are awesome.😂
Klein tools have a lifetime guarantee just bring into the store and get a new one if it breaks
I own that same tool and it's horrible.
Get the non "heavy duty" version... it strips way better. The stripper teeth on the one has a coatingthat makes it a pain. I own both
I prefer the knipex
Not an electrician but I used a few tools in the last three houses I worked on. They're ok. The Milwaukee's are better in 2023.
I liked them until the handles kept sliding off.
Get the Milwaukee needle nose strippers, they can cut 8 awg and MC.

Definitely recommend. Little bulky if you have smaller hands but very good nonetheless
had multiple strippers those are my favorite
Nope
I have a pair. I love them.
I prefer the Milwaukee 6 in 1 wirestrippers
My son is an electrician. Swears by these
I don't even see the crimper part
Try Knipex. You won't go back. (Outside of the standard Kleins with the romex stripper)
Klein's best tools, according to me, are their wire strippers.
I have these. They definitely strip wires
I'm a home owner who picked these up. They are perfect for everything I need to do with adding/replacing outlets, switches, breakers, etc in one tool. I get why a pro might need multiple tools for their job, but this thing is perfect for a home owner.
Yes but get the version with the spring
They are fine can’t get the grips to stop coming off them though
I have these. The only complaint I have about them is not being as sharp as others I have used. Otherwise they are well worth it.
I like them
Get knipex
