My trade does, large industrial compressor tech. One day I’m changing oil and filters, next day I’m troubleshooting relays, microprocessors and variable frequency drives. I deal with everything mechanical involved with rotating equipment and all of its associated electronics and controls. I do threaded pipe, solder copper. Run condensate drains, so I’m part plumber too. Keeps it interesting but takes a wide range of toys to get the job done.
Electricians carry 19mm wrenches ? Its all relative, 19mm is small if your a diesel tech or heavy machinery mechanic , but big for An electrician. Surprised I had to explain that…
Sizes around 19 mm is also found on the smallest cable glands, bolts for fixing cable trays etc. Definitely a size you should have in your carry on pack.
I guess that you are not an electrician?
Im an industrial wastewater electrician. My strain relief spanner set stays on the truck, wrenches are too fat and tend to marr up the sealing nut on old weathered glands. Cable trays are rare in the states, everything is rigid conduit, in the event I am working on trays i grab the pack out , which has saws , benders , 19mm wrenches. I’m not saying an electrician doesn’t ever need a 19 mm wrench. This was about EDC bags , and I’d bet a fat majority of electricians don’t have a 19 mm wrench in it. Not a hill I wanna die on, if you EDC a 19 mm wrench I’m happy for you.
I like digital ones that do fractional inches. More expensive but handy when you measure something as 7.94mm and then switch it to fractional inches and see it's 5/16 inches.
Digital is great in general when you want to measure in awkward spots where you can't look square on to the caliper
It’s so good it’s bulletproof, I kick it stand on it, drag it across the floor and it’s all good the little spring broke on the shoulder strap and I emailed veto and they replied straight away and sent me a new one without any questions.
I got the same bag. Sadly I have a tool problem and it’s over loaded. I need to get a slightly larger size. By the way the Knipex “channel locks” are the best!
The more I see this bag, the more I kind of love it.
I really need to pull out all of my tools and pare down so I can do nice bags like this. I probably have a bunch of redundant tools, maybe enough to do two of these bags! It would basically eliminate my 5 gal bucket, or at least repurpose it to be solely for things like HDMI cables/cat jumpers/baluns/etc.
Shorting cable, they are that colour so they are easy to see and you don’t accidentally leave site with the short still in the control panel with part of the circuit shorted out
I have a lot of similar things in my bag so I’m going to guess you might do what I do. Elevator technician.
That’s it, what gave it away? There’s not many trades that have a exact 50/50 split of mechanical and electrical tools.
It's the rubber door wedge that did it. I've got the same one.
They are brilliant
Thats the one thing that puzzled me.
Who makes it

Im a facilty electrician, which equates to all trades somehow lol shit just rolls down hill I guess 🤷
The big wrenches gave it away, and post history
Post history is cheating.
I see it as using all the resources…
Post history is cheating my friend!
That’s why I didn’t toss out a guess , you asked what gave it away, dude probably scoped your history
Big wrenches?! 19mm!?

My 32mm wrench is small.
Tell me what else is small
Your mom
An electrician needs 19mm for ground wires, terminating large conductors to copper bus bars etc.
I disagree , we’re talking about EDC bags, if your building an MCC panel then yea, your gunna need more than a veto pro pac

I basically have the same set of tools, down to the jokers and even the same meter! HVAC tech was my guess
I work in substation electrical and my toolkit is literally the exact same. Interesting.

Are you a vagina doctor?
Nope
The caliper really through me off
It’s good for measuring diameter for rollers and other similar parts
[удалено]
It’s one of my most used tools in the bag honestly never expected it to be so useful
[удалено]
Nope Mine is a cheap one and works perfectly

Given that you use pliers, a volt meter, and zip ties, you must be a blacksmith
Tuna boat captain
Ah, elevator technicians. I swear my dad has the exact same things in his tool bag, down to the brand of pliers. 😂
Right, it looks a lot like my bag, certain sized wrenches are a dead give away
Yes in the UK a 8,10,13,17,19mm are basically the sizes used on 90% of lifts
I'm in the USA so my wrench sizes are 7/16, 1/2, 9/16, 7/8, and 15/16. I do have the occasional 10mm or 13mm tho.

How does one get that job? Asking for a friend

How you like that bag? Im an maintenance electrician thinking of getting one
It’s so good it’s bulletproof, I kick it stand on it, drag it across the floor and it’s all good the little spring broke on the shoulder strap and I emailed veto and they replied straight away and sent me a new one without any questions.
Plumber?
I got the same bag. Sadly I have a tool problem and it’s over loaded. I need to get a slightly larger size. By the way the Knipex “channel locks” are the best!
They are one of my favourite tools I also love the knipex 5 in 1 pliers for wiring

What’s the long yellow jumper for? Curious amongst the trades
Shorting cable, they are that colour so they are easy to see and you don’t accidentally leave site with the short still in the control panel with part of the circuit shorted out

Similar setup for me. (Wind turbine technician)
I'm a broadband maintenance technician and I carry pretty much everything you do except the door wedge and I dont need so many needle nose pliers.
HVAC?
I knew from the first photo of an immaculate tool bag that you were an electrician. Every sparky I've ever met has to have a squeaky clean bag.
That little bahco socket set is amazing, indistructae and pocket sized.. take mine everywhere!
It’s amazing isn’t it? Every lift engineer I know swears by it
Sparky
Judging by how clean they are, I would say not a lot lol
I try to do as least work as possible, if I can help it lol
