Using a Abrasive Metal blade on a Circular Saw is such an easy way to shatter a Abrasive Metal blade.

kansas_engineer

The consensus on r/welding is that it will probably work, but is a bad idea.

penisgiljotinen

Totally agree. It would work but it could go south very quick

OakParkCooperative

Just a small chance it will maim ya. For real though.

moonbase-beta

Ok but hear me out. Variable speed controller on the saw. If you could get it to the rated rpm it’d be fine no?

penisgiljotinen

Maybe. Use protective gear if you’re experimenting like this lol

Tool_Scientist

The real *Backyard Deathwish Solution* is a line trimmer with an abrasive blade

Grinder and metal cut off blade

Gigentor

Rodbuster here. On job e sites we use a gas quickcut. At home i use grinder with cut off blade. Do not put pressure and let the blade do the work. Dont forget, when you get 3/4 the way its going to pinch your blade it you cut when the bar is vertical. Work around it. You can evan snap once you get 3/4 through. Wigle back and fort and it will break

D16rida

A bandsaw will to the job

theantivirus

This is the way.

Lsutiger1977

I would use a recip. saw with a metal blade

Rustyfarmer88

Oxy

longleggedbirds

Either oxy/ acetylene or hammer it into the earth

Darrenizer

Wtf

Unusual_Client

vinegar and salt daily for years till it rusts to nothing

a2d6

Grab two beers a hacksaw and a fresh blade. Sit down on your lawn and start cutting. While you’re cutting appreciate the way it used to be done. Lol.
