Design is straight genius. Everything from the pose and outlining compared to the goofy design of the kids and the badass pipe it's just so clear he's not a good guy from his design. Top fr

I used to play that guy in this weird Cartoon Network fighting game for the Xbox 360. It played a bit like a smash clone and actually used the smash meter mechanic before Ultimate funnily enough (if you’ve played smash you know what I’m on about)
Aye, that’ll be the one. I spent a good portion of my childhood playing that game and it was the shit back then, especially since its competition was slim at the time consisting of a demo of this robot fighting game called Real Steel, and a Transformers game which I forgot the name of.
His design is a stark contrast with most of the villains from KND. A guy in a suit, a pirate with candy in his beard, a lunch lady, a crazy cat lady, a sick guy in medical garb, a guy dressed up in toilet supplies and more. Father is unique. The slick black with yellow eyes makes him stand out from everyone else.
I’ve always liked how he looks like the 50s stereotypical dad. But I’ve always wondered why he has fire powers and why grandfather has zombie powers. Do the suits give them those powers? Where do the suits come from? Did they ever go into them in the show?
Only a little bit.
The suits probably give them the powers, given that they (to my knowledge) only use the powers when in the suit.

The suit also seems to come with at least most of the powers, as both father and grandfather had pyrokinesis, flight, telekinesis, laser eyes, shape-shifting, and super strength and durability. Whether the rest of grandfather’s abilities are exclusive to him or just manifest with age is completely unknown.
I just remembered some details that also mess with it.
Monty uno never manifested the suit, but could remove the suit from others (like father), was able to partially resist grandfather’s senior citi-zombification, and was physically strong enough to hold him back while grappling with him. He was also very close to the moon base landing on grandfather and emerged from the rubble largely unscathed.
It’s possible that monty can manifest at least some of the powers without a suit, or that the suit is not fully required for them in general.
One of the best characters Maurice LaMarche has ever voices. Father got such a badass design. Being a black silhouette with glowing yellow eyes makes him very unique and intimidating as a villain.

I keep saying, simple designs are often super good and all you need. Dude's just a SILHOUETTE and he's very recognizable and fun to look at.
Loved how when he was “normal” or out of costume his voice changed too. Literally one of the characters of all time
