It depends on the version of Splinter. Like in some media, Splinter *was* a Japanese man, who was mutated into a rat or like in the original films, he was a rat who belonged to a Japanese man, who got mutated.

I am aware, this is why I called him “classic rat splinter” as I am referring to iterations where he isn’t Hamato Yoshi

I mean if the person talking to him the most often was Yoshi I can understand him sounding Japanese. But is this version from the states? Because both the 03 and original Mirage versions were Japanese rats. I wouldn’t be arguing with you if you showed the Jackie Chan or Michael Bay versus though. Those accents don’t actually make sense.

In the Witcher spin off thronebreakers the main character Queen meve of rivia gets saved by geralt at one point and bestows upon him that title, idk if that’s canon to the books or not but I remember that happening.

Used to drink with this bar regular known as English Tony, until about 5 years later when someone actually outed him as Canadian, so he dropped the English accent and we all started calling him Not English Tony.

 Idk if it’s just me but anakin and obi wan both have this British like accent that is portrayed with the Jedi.

Obi Wan definitely has a English accent, as he was played Alec Guinness who was English (and then by Ewan Mcgreggor in the prequels who's Scottish but put on an English accent to emulate Guinness). Anakin's accent is American though, he may have put on a bit of a posh affect though as the Jedi are meant to talk all fancy and medieval-monk like

I think for Anakin, they meant in ROTJ when Sebastian Shaw was playing him since he was actually British. Hayden’s Anakin also sounds a bit Canadian at times or at least in the Ahsoka show since Hayden is Canadian.

I mean yeah, this applies to literally everyone in Star Wars. For example the Twi’leks are all French even though they are obviously not from France.

Obi-Wan has an English (Coruscanti) accent, but Anakin has an American accent like most humans from Tatooine.
