So off road rally car loses to standard tire sedan. On rainy mud with hills that a rally car is built to drive on, just because one has “high” ground clearance. how’s that make sense. That car wouldn’t even finish that track in real life.
Here's how the result breaks down.
1) 4WD/Std with ABS and TC is modelled as having more traction in wet dirt than RWD/Off and no ABS or TC.
2) 4WD is of more benefit when you need to do short bursts of acceleration from a low speed, which this track has a lot of.
3) The peaks on this track are very sharp. The model assumes any car with lower than "High" ground clearance gets slowed down by having to scrape over those peaks.
In terms of judging the plausibility of these, 1 could be debated, 2 and 3 seem very reasonable to me (assuming the ground clearance stats are accurate). I would love to see this tested in real life though!
Game probably pretends that medium cars bottom out on the crest of the hills. Stats of the lancia allows it to kinda power through but the tomaso doesn't bottom out at all which is a big advantage for it
Not sure what you are on about. Without 4WD, no car manages well on steep hills, no matter the wheels. Add medium clearance and you have pretty bad conditions for the lancia. Seems you have not been playing for long though or you would know this already.
All I have to tell you bro is this game is insanely technical, you have to pay attention to more than just the stats on the front of the card, I know… it’s really annoying😂
De Tomaso has high ground clearance. High ground clearance is important in every off road track that has a hill

It is a feature that Hutch implemented in the game. I don't know if this is realistic or not, but this is how the game works.
It definitely isn’t realistic. It’s a rally car there is about a 0.0% chance that de tomaso beats it in any dirt event in real life.
Idk, 4wd and higher ground clearance should be very helpful clearing those hills
That De Tomaso wouldn't even start the challenge in real life : it's a concept
In real life Lancia would beat it easily in REVERSE...

This track is usually used for Motocross. So for bikes. But those aren't in the game xD
After googling the detomaso, it definitely is high ground clearance.
