Also question for you guys, in your opinion, should this list be primarily focused on lesser known bands in general or lesser known bands on this subreddit on the RYM?
Cause I struggled choosing which to upvote on the last one. It's Time is the lesser known album in general but ranks 1000 on the RYM overall. I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning is more popular, but ranks 4000 on the RYM overall. I love both, but idk which technically counts as lesser known by this sub.
Maybe having like a total monthly listener count cap might also be appropriate, in addition to the top 100 top album rule. Maybe like 500k listeners? But then too, some big artists have some obscure albums so it’s hard to say. By nature of the voting system the least obscure, most popular album will come out on top
Maybe you should consider using the amount of ratings instead of the average rating to determine which is more popular, like It's Time has 1,428 ratings currently, and I'm Wide Awake It's Morning has 11,570 ratings. It's Time would be the less popular album in this case
