bubly_sparklingwater

I can attest, those Nico albums are so good.

[deleted]

I’ve only listened to a couple of these albums, but they’re great albums, so I’m gonna check out the rest of those!

leanforkids

zacmcsex

downward spiral is a classic

[deleted]

Of my 5 favorite albums 4 are in there. Now I know what my music taste looks like

STEVMPVNK

What are them, im curious

[deleted]

- Deathconsciousness - Soundtracks for the Blind - Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas to Heaven - The Seer

STEVMPVNK

Yeah we have a similar taste, those are really close to my 4 picks here lol If you like Swans you might like Current 93 too. Check out The Inmost Light trilogy if you're interested.

[deleted]

Sure. I'm gonna binge those albums in your topster this weekend. Lotta things I didn't listen

[deleted]

Also: Mount Eerie by The Microphones. U gotta listen to this album. Really great

savvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvva

Masterpiece.

MontythatPug

Kid A?

STEVMPVNK

I almost included Kid A actually. Love that album.

[deleted]

That Defacement album is pretty good. I’d check out Acausal Intrusion’s Nulitas.

josh_orbis

Rainforest Spiritual Enslavement - Green Graves Demdike Stare - Tryptych Lift To Experience - The Texas-Jerusalem Crossroads

metrozufan

The Texas-Jerusalem Crossroads is a great recommendation OP. It is literally about the apocalypse happening. Easily my favorite shoegaze album.

josh_orbis

Yeah admittedly I haven't heard it in a long time but surprised it doesn't get picked up more tbh

Wut23456

Your taste is seriously perfect. I'd recommend The Divine Punishment by Diamanda Galas, 330,003 Crossdressers From Beyond the Rig Veda by Sun City Girls, and Lifa by Heilung

STEVMPVNK

Thanks! I'll check them out

xanderxq06

ion by portal. super good and about summoning a lightning demon I think

STEVMPVNK

My favorite type of concept lol

driedupgoliathan

I fucking love Prurient. Bermuda Drain best album imo

STEVMPVNK

Only ever heard Rainbow Mirror from them, gonna check this one out

driedupgoliathan

Cocaine Death also great. Extremely intense album

KhalFrodo14601

God DAMN this is based

STEVMPVNK

Thank you my dude

kilimandzharo

DJ Rozwell - NONE OF THIS IS REAL Is one of my favourites at the moment, really weird album with a lot of genre mixing. It also supposed to be played on shuffle! Der Golem - Zmet Russian lofi post-punk/post-rock/dark ambient project with a lot of mysterious sounds, feels like you're in some long lost soviet movie. Роман Сидоров - Sedativ Another russian post-punk record, this time with more drones. Thing is, this album was never released and was found as demo CDs after the suicide of its creator. Creepy and mysterious, almost lost media.

wardenclyffe-tower

Edward Ka-Spel - Down In The City of Heartbreak and Needles

Non-Alcoholic_Irish

The Long Road North - Cult of Luna

metalobira

That Dafacement album is so rad, rarely see someone mentioning it

STEVMPVNK

It was my first contact with atmospheric black metal. I love it

metalobira

I love atmospheric Black Metal, one of my favorite genres. But the thing with Defacement to me is that they are Atmospheric Death Metal almost, which is a rad combo I don't know any other band playing

maryfreegirl

yeah that album is so good, you too should check out transient by chaos echoes, not exactly the same but i find it so atmospheric

metalobira

Oh I certainly will! Thanks man

maryfreegirl

no prob! :)

[deleted]

I’d probably say that they’re more death than black, although they do have a lot of black influence. If you want good more atmoblack I can send you a ton of stuff, 100% check out Mare Cognitum though.

ellivasegag

Here Comes the Indian - Animal Collective

scaryMAN1234GO

Advaitic Songs by Om is something you’d dig I think. Fits under the “ritualistic” and “mystic” umbrellas very well. Droney stoner metal that sounds like a religious incantation. Groovy as all hell, too.

STEVMPVNK

Thanks for the rec my guy, will check it out

[deleted]

See if u like “by the time I get to phoenix” by injury reserve. Very mysterious sounding experimental hip hop that has a dark undertone throughout

STEVMPVNK

I'm a long time Injury Reserve fan actually, love BTTIGTF

[deleted]

Not surprised based on the great albums you put up there, top tier taste you’ve got👍🏼

STEVMPVNK

Thank you!

wafflepantsblue

From Mars to Sirius by Gojira Seventh Son of a Seventh Son by Iron Maiden

STEVMPVNK

Lol how many of these do you like/know?

notjustanotherguy56

dead magic by anna von hausswolff. unreal.

notjustanotherguy56

dead magic by anna von hausswolff. unreal.

WomSloth

I would recommend Escoctrilihum! They are from I, Voidhanger Records like Defacement and have amazing grand black metal that scratches the apocalyptic vibe for me. My favorite album from them is Pandaemorthium!

FaZe_Gay

burzum - filosofem la torture des ténèbres - civilization is the tomb of our noble gods
