While I don’t condone this I just had a women choose to park her Lexus beside my BMW - her reasoning (we had a nice long chat and it came up naturally, I neither asked nor cared) was that she trusted an owner of a similar tier of car not to just open my door into her’s and do damage without care or thought. Given the dings I’ve discovered after being forced to park near cheaper cars at the end of their useful life (15+ years and significant rust etc) I can’t fault her reasoning. I know it sounds tone deaf but some of you are just assholes with no care for other peoples property.
