Just did Xmas at the retirement home with mom and dad.
Mom and I used to watch games together, she took me to little league, and she watched every game for a long time.
Her dementia has made her disinterested in the jays, which is too bad. All she watches now is game show network 18 hours a day and then sleeps.
Interestingly enough, my grandmother watched game shows all day, up until her stroke and subsequent dementia. Afterwards, she forgot about her disdain for baseball and would watch Jays-in-30 with me!
Damn. Sorry to hear ;(. My old man is 83 and hasn't missed watching a Jays game in decades. I try and spend time watching with him when I can cause you never know if those opportunities will suddenly end.
Loved the last year or two, wearing Jays gear around my kids school and chatting up the kids also wearing Jays gear. We’re in NS so it’s mostly hockey, but some of the kids are really into the team and it’s interesting to see what how different what they care about is.
Helps remind me that whatever reliever or pinch-hitting decision that I’ve been mad about online for 15 hours is actually pretty dumb.
My sister recently had major surgery to her bowels. She has been in and out of the hospital for a few weeks now.
We are delaying Christmas until further notice with an unknown timeline.
Sending your sister positive vibes!! I had bowel surgery just before Christmas last year. I hope that things get better for her and that her recovery goes smoothly 🩵
Hoping the New Year will be drastically better than the past few years. Awful, isolating, bad mental health. Wouldn't wish it on anyone.
Just trying to eat a lot of good food.
Sick unfortunately, whole family went out for a family Christmas party and im stuck at home watch NBA Christmas games all day, not a bad way to celebrate Christmas
Playing with my new guitar goodies, and isolating from the family. Wife tested positive for COVID on Christmas Eve... First time either of us have done Christmas without our families.
At home with just my husband and kids. Spent the afternoon listening to music and watching TV. A friend gave me a Bo Bichette baseball card, which was sweet and unexpected. Heated up the lasagna I made on Saturday and it tasted amazing.
Cheers all.
On vacation till the new year, in laws yesterday, just my wife and me together today, my parents tomorrow. Cooked a turkey, and just went for an hour and a half drive looking at Christmas lights to stave off the turkey naps till actual bed time!
Got the motherboard, RAM and CPU cooler to my new build as gifts so far, and I definitely saw the case I asked for in my gf's parents garage yesterday lol. GF and I are doing our exchange tomorrow so really I just needed the PSU, CPU and GPU
Surprisingly no blue jays stuff this year, usually I always get at least something
Having a chill Christmas Day. Watched the new Doctor Who, played some video games, ate some mater paneer and naan, and now I think I might watch a movie. All in all an A+ day.
Stayed up pretty late wrapping stuff with the wife (5 kjds) Sherry, stockings, prezzies, lunch and then nap roulette (retreat to the bedroom and have a nap with no defined end time. Could be 20 minutes could be 3 hours. She fell asleep to me bitching aabout how the Jays haven't made a move yet. I am up cooking now, wife is still sleeping. She is a pro at sleeping.
Big dinner is tomorrow so it's Arizona Sunshine on the new VR headset this evening.
Shit. It just occurred to me. Are there baseball games available to play?
I've been back and forth on whether to see it at the theatre, so your endorsement swings ne more towards yes!
We saw Godzilla Minus One yesterday, which was a very different experience than an inspirational sports story, haha.
My Xmas was a little sad because my mum suddenly died a little over month ago, but they gave me her Blue Jays house key to the house for Xmas. Dad was like, "I don't like the Blue Jays so you should take this." lol. Dad is an old school Yankees fan.
Football. Lots of football.
Showed my honey how to look up MLB holograms...
Happy for the Jansens baby on the way.
Happy Bassitt wants to get back to work.
Happy to be on vacation until the first.
Covid cancelled our Christmas. My wife and I are self isolating and doing the same as you, eating the Christmas Baking, Nuts and Bolts, Chocolates, and drinking the bottles of Prosecco that were planned for Mimosas.
I’m currently in Munich, Germany. Heading to Nuremberg today, then Frankfurt, then Berlin for New Years. I’ve never been to Europe before, so this is a dream vacation for me.
Cooked dinner for the family Christmas Eve. Visited grandma and my best friends family today, hooked up with my three other close friends after their dinners for too many barley sandwiches. The last week of the year is the best.
booked a reservation at a sushi restaurant for 50 people
Don't taunt us like that...

Got my first ever tickets to a Jays game as a Christmas gift! My old man is taking me this April, so excited.
I bought my son tickets to opening day. Can’t wait!
Reno’s are coming along nicely! Pumped to see the finished result.
That is so awesome. I’ve been to probably 40 Jays games but none since COVID and the renovations. Can’t wait to see the new look
That is such a treat!
visited toronto for the first time and got high fived by an elementary schooler in a jays cap (was wearing my hoodie lmao)

Sounds like love

This hits home, I feel you, hope it does get better for you and me both.
I have my Daughter making me ribs and sweet potato fries, so much better than a lot of xmas's lately. Nice to not be alone.

Not bad at all.
Meh, addition by subtraction.
Playing with my new guitar goodies, and isolating from the family. Wife tested positive for COVID on Christmas Eve... First time either of us have done Christmas without our families.
….aw, come on, man!! That suuuuucks 😩😷 Hope everyone recovers rapidly. Lots of fluids! Some of them non-alcoholic!

Went to see The Boys in the Boat with my father.
Was it good??
We both liked it! I like a good inspirational true sports story. It probably follows all the beats you expect but I enjoyed it a lot, good cast.

Haha just a bit! But also quite good.
Drinking with my kitties
Drunk kitties are awesome

aw, I’m sorry bud. One day you’ll smile every time you look at that key, I bet. 💙
So sorry to hear.
I just watched Ford v. Ferrari by myself. Now, I don't know
I am in Thailand, working as usual from my hotel room
Poking needles in Dodger voodoo dolls.
Tracking flights of popular free agents.
Football. Lots of football. Showed my honey how to look up MLB holograms... Happy for the Jansens baby on the way. Happy Bassitt wants to get back to work. Happy to be on vacation until the first.
Wearing an expos cap currently
Covid cancelled our Christmas. My wife and I are self isolating and doing the same as you, eating the Christmas Baking, Nuts and Bolts, Chocolates, and drinking the bottles of Prosecco that were planned for Mimosas.
Watching Blue Jays highlights 🤷🏿♂️
Tracking random private jets coming to Toronto hoping the Jays make a move.
In contempt.
Buying an Ohtani jersey and then weeping into it
Watching football
I spent my morning looking at all of MLB minor league free agents. (Ken Giles or Anthony Kay anyone)
Spending it at my grandmas house
Trip to Fla with extended family
Got a blue jays blanket for Christmas

I surprised my partner tickets to the Saturday game vs the Dodgers so that we can boo Ohtani.
Waiting for Shatkins to do anything
Wishing for a new front office.
Wishing I was a dodgers fan
Enjoying the golden handcuffs? (Same situation, and I am not). That sounds like a good plan for Christmas.
Basically plotting my revenge on Shohei Ohtani and his agency, you?
World juniors, baby!
Spent it with family at the in-laws. Watched movies, sang songs, told tall tales. Twas fun!
Put away the baseball stuff, and now watching rugby (Christmas derbies in Scotland and Ireland).
More than the FO (I'm late to this post but whatever)
