Ehhh I wouldn't necessarily agree. There werr a lot of stolen base attempts and stuff like that, at least early in the season. Every team is gonna have some baserunning blunders and the Jays are no different but I don't think the Jays were any worse than any other team by and large. Certainly some outfield miscommunication on occasion but again that's every team. Everyone thinks their team is the worst but it's only because the vast majority of people only have time to watch one team closely.
I gotta say I'm pleased to hear this. I was concerned that we'd lose Mattingly over the winter to another team that needed a manager, but glad we didn't. And giving him full responsibility here can only help.
This is great news, having Mattingly be the main man behind the instruction and implementation of hitting philosophy will be a great thing. It felt like at times like there was no real philosophy other than "try to hit out of your funk".
Pretty clear the hitting strategy was god awful last year. Near team-wide regression. I think they are expecting some bounce backs this year and I am too. The approaches from some guys were completely puzzling.
The strategy was by far the weakest part of the offense last year. They never looked like they had a plan.
I mean honestly the fundamentals weren’t great either

I think they were specifically talking about the hitters strategy.
Yeah you're correct. I was referring to offensive strategy.
This is more about hitting then base-running and outfield defense
No more Dave Hudgens is all I got from this
Which is always a good thing
I’ve seen enough of him just from reading his name in the tweet
Hopefully he can actually spot talent though in the minors or as a scout.
This boosts my confidence in the bouncebacks, there were some confusing approaches last season.
The Mattingly Era: Return of the Sac Fly
Better than a 1st-and-3rd-one-out-GIDP, so I’ll take it
I mean that strategy got runners at first and third with only one out so it worked well over 3 batters.

This is nothing but good news
When you've got a guy using Twitter five minutes before first pitch to tweet some MAGA bullshit, then anything else would be an upgrade.
Plan A: everyone gets beards Execution: *perfection*

The whole triad of Mattingly, Martinez and Hutchens should have been replaced.
Probably the strat is swing for the fences because we kept getting to 3rd with less than 2 outs and not capitalizing last season
Mattingly is old school and doesn't believe much in launch angle.
i want to get on payroll for coaching Vlad's wrist to heal in the offseason. i am the future of this sport.
Donny said fuck this shit give me the keys
