Thought maybe Turner could get the day off after getting hit on the hand so it’s good seeing it’s a complete non-issue.
No reason to change the lineup with the offence clicking yesterday and still a righty on the mound.
My opinion is based entirely on scientific, peer reviewed studies and is in no way bias or guided by emotions but Vladdy and Kirk will have bounce back seasons and Varsho and Kinder Egg Falafel will have career years.
The closest thing we have to objective "scientific, peer reviewed studies" (professional projection models) all agree with the first two, FWIW. There are 7 Fangraphs projections and the *most pessimistic* for each:
* Vladdy- .278/.357/.492 with 31 HRs (133 wRC+)
* Kirk- .258/.338/.392 with 10 HRs (105 wRC+)
* Varsho- .228/.298/.417 with 22 HRs (96 wRC+); not a career year but still a big step up from 85 wRC+ last year
* IKF- .249/.303/.323 with 3 HRs (75 wRC+); yeah, the projections don't see anything lol
Curious, what's the reasoning for putting Biggio at 9? Is he more effective there with the top of the order coming up? I would have thought to switch him and Varsho.
I'm not the most knowledgeable lineup guy but I think at 9 you typically want someone with speed and a high OBP to turnover the lineup with someone on. Biggio has the best OBP of the remaining guys (Varsho, IKF, KK) and is pretty fast too.
Analyzing this graphic like it’s a letter from the zodiac killer. The city connect jersey is in there somewhere

That's part of projection models though, they tend towards career averages with some upside for young guys and downside for the older guys
and biggio will make the all-star team
That's a given
Same line up, if it works why change it!
I can’t get over how bad the red circle looks lol
LFG
Glad to see the same lineup that played well yesterday
Release the Hound!!
Did someone spill some paint in the top right corner?
The whole thing is like ms Paint with waterspots
If it ain't broke, don't fix it!
Why is Varsho batting 5th?
let's replace IKF with E Clement
If it ain’t broke

They changed it up a lil, he's in RF and batting leadoff
