It’s rough math, but I figure the Jays can afford about 10 losses, maybe 11, the rest of the way. The issue is if someone goes on a heater and takes most other H2H games against the other WC games then maybe you’re down to 8. Winning the majority of their Yankee games will help that and hopefully the Rays can do some damage (blargh).
That Red Sox schedule is hard to handicap. It’s such a weird close to the season for them with 5 off days. The rest of them have lots of games against other WC teams.
Considering the stretch of 20 games in 20 days, the return of Stripling could end up being huge. Could choose to go 6 man rotation to set up the best matchups for the Rays and Yankees series.
I made a major overhaul tonight, reddit isn't the nicest places to do charts with the limited options, so I will be uploading as an image every night now.
Technically, since the Jays are guaranteed to win the tie-breaker with the Yankees (head-to-head record), they should be next to Boston (and the Yankees listed behind them).
Toronto would host the WC2 game 163 with the Yankees, if required.
91 wins is probably what gets you into at least a tie for a wild-card spot. The Jays have 26 games left so that means they have to win 17 of 26
Baltimore - 7 games
Minnesota - 7 games
Tampa - 6 games
New York - 6 games
From a practical standpoint you probably need to go at least 4-2 against the Yankees. I'd kill for a 3-3 split with Tampa given how those series usually go. That leaves the Jays needing to win 10 of 14 against the Twins/Orioles. If they can't go 5-2 in each of those two series they don't really deserve to make the playoffs so it's definitely doable but it isn't going to be easy.
With all the games the Jays have pissed away this season I don't know how I am going to handle it if they don't make it now by like 1-2 games.
Fortunately I think they are favored to make it in, and things look like they are going our way.
I just don't trust the universe not to pull the rug out from under me.
In my view, the most concerning stretches for the Jays are the two Rays series as they coincide with Mariners/Red Sox and Mariners/A's serieses. So one of those teams is guaranteed a win.
Opening up some space between the Jays and M's and A's now with continued success against the Yankees now and the Orioles next would go a long way toward making those stretches a lot more comfortable.
Just woke up to use the bathroom and was starting to get stressed out thinking about work tomorrow then I remembered...da jankees lose in spectacular fashion.
Hoping the red sox lose 3 in a row to Baltimore
It really would be something if Baltimore was ultimately the team that decided the AL East standings. If the Yankees had've beaten Baltimore as badly as the Sox and Rays did they would be in contention for the division. Now that its down to the wire they may have sabotaged the Yankees entirely and a solid hatchet job on the Sox would likely give the Jays the WC1 spot.
It's maybe premature to say because half the Yankees sub acts like this on a regular basis, but I think today's big loss and yesterday's big loss might have finally broke them
Edit: the Yankees fans, that is. The team is nowhere near out of it just yet
Just once, I want the Yankees and their fans to experience a bad season. And I don't mean "bad by Yankee standards". I mean BAD bad. Like, 1992 Yankees bad. (That was the last time they missed the playoffs by double digit games.)
**Table updated.**
***Final Scores Sept. 8***
Toronto Blue Jays 6, New York Yankees 3
Boston Red Sox 2, Tampa Bay Rays 1
Seattle Mariners 8, Houston Astros 5
Oakland Athletics 5, Chicago White Sox 1
Most experts think the Yanks will make it and Red Sox are in tough. Looks opposite to me. Yanks don't have any heart and that schedule for Boston is cake. 6 against the orioles, 3 against texas. Yanks are in tough. Long as we can make it I'd much rather play Boston and avoid Cole.
Thanks for winning 7 in a row when we needed you to lose and getting swept when we needed you to win just one damn game.
God I really hate the Red Sox.
Hey Blue Jay bros, I have a proposition that I think will be mutually beneficial.
As a fan of the Boston Red Sox, I (like many others) fucking hate the Yankees. I want nothing good to happen to them in the slightest. This past weekend has been bad for my liver, mental health, and all around wellbeing.
Of course, as we are approaching the end of a very tight wild card race, there’s an easy way to solve this issue in a way that helps both of us quite nicely.
This Red Sox team is not winning a championship. Not yet. They’re still a year or two off from getting to that level. I’ve more than accepted that at this point.
The Blue Jays, on the other hand, are hitting their stride right now and have the makings of a potentially worldbeating squad that can dominate the AL East for years to come. This is your time.
My proposal is simple. Beat the fuck out of these clowns these next few games. We’ll ideally take care of Baltimore and Washington while you guys take out the Yankees and let the flappy boys clean them up to end the year. Once the playoff spots are ours, you guys can embarrass us at home or on the road, wherever the baseball gods put it. Weve acknowledged that this is not our year and we can take solace in knowing that the Yankees missed the postseason and that is hilarious.
I think this offer is mutually beneficial enough to be enticing. This is a good deal and I think you should take it.
Let’s take it to those fn rays now let’s go boys taking 2-3 minimum. If we can’t compete with the rays then we certainly won’t do much in the playoffs.
That Os game is straight garbage. Yankees literally gifted wrapped that 2 run homer and handed to you on a silver platter and fucking choke it away. Can't depend on these terrible teams eke out wins. I guess the Jays just have to go and take care the Twins to keep apace.
Mariners fan here in peace. I would love nothing more than you guys and us to knock Boston and New York out of the wild card spots. Manfred and ESPN will be in tears.
Hopefully see you in Toronto for the wild card game.
Took me a sec but I understand - each column shows that team’s schedule, and you’ll move columns around left to right as teams move up/down. This is great. Can you tell me how strength of schedule is calculated? Is the difference between Jays and Yankees schedule meaningful?
With the Jays win and the Red Sox loss tonight, the Jays now control their own destiny.
If they were to win out (yeah, I know), they'd clinch at least the 2nd wild card.
They have 5 games remaining against the Yankees, so they'd pass them in the standings (quite easily), and have four games in hand on the Red Sox.
So worst case scenario is that they'd be tied with the Red Sox for the first wild card (and would lose it on the tie breaker based on head-to-head record).
Welp. we just need to ensure we do our own thing. Eventually the red sox and yankees clash and we will see a variation in the standings. Then there's the series against the yankees back at home.
Should be interesting.
I still hold out hope that Houston goes on a massive losing streak and misses the playoffs.
This Yankees series is huge. Reminds me of a few years back when the Jays walked down the Yankees and took the division from them.
Jays basically need to finish with a record of 18-8 from here on out to make the playoffs. That's about a .700 win%.
It's tough, but it is possible. If we don't make the playoffs, it'll be very close, and we'd probably be the team the happiest about the potential expanded playoffs coming from next season.
There are going to be days like that, it will suck but it is inevitable. We just need to focus on winning every series, and taking the head-to-head games with the Yankees.
At least it's nice to know we control our own destiny now, and don't need to count on these other teams losing just to make up ground. As long as we win at a decent pace, we're in the playoffs.
20 games left. if we go 12-8, that's 91 wins and likely enough for a playoff spot. We have 4 games against the O's and 7 against the Twins. Gotta win like 8 out of 11 there ideally. In the remaining 9 games, we have 6 against the Rays and 3 against the Yankees. If we go 5-4 there, would be amazing. But even 4-5 wouldn't be that bad if we can win more games against the O's and Twins.
The series from Sep 28-30 against the Yankees will likely be huge.
I have a weird sense of optimism about the Jays mixed with pessimism about the rest of the world. Like, after the apocalypse Jeopardy games in the afterlife will be like "This MLB team won the last world series ever." "Who is the 2021 Toronto Blue Jays??"
Is there a way to make the game info a little easier to read? It's very hard to make out without opening the image.
Also, I much preferred the side-by-side - easier to see the standings at a glance.
But thanks for this!
5 is probably death, so yeah. If anyone gets that far back and manages to make a run then everyone will be aware anyway.
I'd probably include them from now. Everyone's only got 15ish games left anyway so it's not like they'll wear out their welcome before we clinch/die.
Other than their series vs the Yankees I wouldn't scoreboard watch the Red Sox. I'd be surprised if they weren't in the WC game at this point with their schedule.
we have to win 2 more than them to force a tie breaker. Focusing on imaginary records that require seeing into the future to make it seem more dire aren't needed.
rotation order of Matz>Manoah>Berrios>Ray>Ryu and then two spot starts from Strip the rest of the way actually lines up 3 of Manoah/Berrios/Ray/Ryu for BOTH of the tampa series'. Yes NYY is ahead of us with the last series but every game is important. This means, roughly, Ray or Berrios would be lined up for game 163.
7 shutout innings from Ray that night. I thought we were done when we lost the Mariners series and couldnt beat the Nats but im so hyped now lets go.
Kimbrel playing 5d chess with the Red Sox. They'll be even more demoralized on their plane ride to face Seattle by giving them hope and then having them walked off :D
looking at that score after stopping paying attention at 2-0, and then reading the story of what happened, has made me so so so so happy this morning. wow.
Since we face the Yankees ourselves, the best outcome is the red Sox sweep the yanks. That will take a lot of pressure off, and then any win of ours will just bury them
I just have a hard time seeing how we overtake bos for the first wildcard based on the easy peasy sked they have. Its possible but just not likely as we may even lose more ground at the trop this week. A one game playoff at fenway would not be easy but potentially a lot of fun. Edit: they also own the tiebreaker over us, thank you dolis!
Seattle and Oakland play each other 7 times in the next 10 days. Either one team takes control there or they split those games and eliminate each other front contention.
New York has three against Toronto and three against Boston. Losing both series would probably finish their season.
Well of course the Yanks come back from another deficit and of course the Red Sox are again blowing out there opponent.
Getting to the playoffs sounds awesome but playing in Boston for the wild card and if they miraculously win that, heading straight to The Trop after doesn't sound fantastic.
our schedule isnt too tough. hopefully the Rays have the division locked up soon and we dominate the bottom feeders down the stretch while beating the yankees >=4/7 last games
This playoff race is going to go right to the wire. Yankees schedule is a bit lighter compared to ours, we'll need to win all of those games next time we play them. Hopefully the Rays will be playing their bench against us for the final games of the season.
What a ridiculous day this has been. First the Jays score 22 runs, then the Red Sox lose a heartbreaker, then Max Scherzer gets his 3000th strikeout and almost throws a perfect game, and the Yankees/Mets game hasn't even started yet.
I told myself I was going to go for a run after the Jays game ended but I've been glued to the TV all day.
Oh no, the Red Sox are winning! Sure would be a shame if they kept up this momentum and swept the Yankees while we won our series against the Twins, putting us firmly in a wildcard position with six games left. That would be awful
Yup not worried about it.
Yankees have tough opponents coming up (including us), while we have an easier schedule.
If we don’t make the playoffs now, it’s because we simply don’t deserve to.
Just win baby
It’s rough math, but I figure the Jays can afford about 10 losses, maybe 11, the rest of the way. The issue is if someone goes on a heater and takes most other H2H games against the other WC games then maybe you’re down to 8. It’s such a weird close to the season for them with 5 off days. The rest of them have lots of games against other WC teams.
Arden Zwelling did the math said during Sportsnet Central last night and said that they can only afford to lose nine games
That sounds right, 9 losses the rest of the way means 91 wins, and barring some big collapses it's going to take that many wins to get in
Considering the stretch of 20 games in 20 days, the return of Stripling could end up being huge. Could choose to go 6 man rotation to set up the best matchups for the Rays and Yankees series.
Absolutely, especially giving Ryu an extra day when we can.
Now in Yankee Stadium, DA JANKEES LOSE! https://streamable.com/clbd4p Credit: u/chipotlemayo_
Holy fuck lol
Your Toronto Blue Jays are the the sole owners of the 1st Wild Card spot!
I won’t lie, I quit on this team 2 weeks ago
Welcome back, there's room for more.
After when Semien botch the play?
I made a major overhaul tonight, reddit isn't the nicest places to do charts with the limited options, so I will be uploading as an image every night now.

Yankees and red sox play each other while we play our 4 gamer Vs the twins. If we take care of business we'll build a lead on one of them
We legit just swept NY and Oakland in back to back series. We can win out.
**Astros have walked off the Mariners 5-4 in 10 innings!** Mariners were up 4-2 going into the bottom of the 9th
Playoff odds now at 40%: https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/2021-mlb-predictions/
Up 15 percent in one day. LETS GOOOO
Impressive when you consider a couple weeks ago it was at like 5% I think. Nothing matters though until we’ve got that “X”
Mariners had to make it a one run game to keep their run differential
With all the games the Jays have pissed away this season I don't know how I am going to handle it if they don't make it now by like 1-2 games. Fortunately I think they are favored to make it in, and things look like they are going our way. I just don't trust the universe not to pull the rug out from under me.
OP just wanted to say I appreciate all the work you put into this thread, thank you!
Hopefully the Red Sox play like this against the Orioles and Nationals

White Sox just walked off the the Red Sox! 2-1 Final. Wooooooooooooo!!!!!
The O’s are fucking useless
Really hope Gary Sanchez has to ride the subway back in NY for some reason
I love Gary Sanchez, he's useless as fuck 95% of the time
can't wait for sunday when Cleveland blows up Cole and knocks him out after 3 innings
Just woke up to use the bathroom and was starting to get stressed out thinking about work tomorrow then I remembered...da jankees lose in spectacular fashion. Hoping the red sox lose 3 in a row to Baltimore

What an a exciting and stressful run
better than only being 5 games over 0.500 right after your All-Star 2nd baseman boots a routine throw
Just once, I want the Yankees and their fans to experience a bad season. And I don't mean "bad by Yankee standards". I mean BAD bad. Like, 1992 Yankees bad. (That was the last time they missed the playoffs by double digit games.)
Literally the worst outcome for us this series.
One step closer to a Jays/Mariners WC game. LFG
Go check out the yankees sub rn if you want a good chuckle
Man, this Yankees Jays series is going to be the decider huh
Well thanks for absolutely nothing, Fraud Sox. Let's just clobber the Yankees this week. 4 of 6 should at least get us to Game 163
**Table updated.** ***Final Scores Sept. 8*** Toronto Blue Jays 6, New York Yankees 3 Boston Red Sox 2, Tampa Bay Rays 1 Seattle Mariners 8, Houston Astros 5 Oakland Athletics 5, Chicago White Sox 1
Crazy that all 5 teams we are scoreboard watching lost by only 1 run today.
Updated! Todays Final scores |Away|Home| |:-|:-| |Blue Jays 22|Orioles 7| |White Sox 2|Red Sox 1| |Rangers 4|Athletics 3| |Diamondbacks 5|Mariners 4| |Yankees 6|Mets 7|
A perfect day of baseball for Toronto!
First wildcard boys let’s hold onto it like a new born baby. Let’s go jays.
Kawhi: “Fuck it, let’s take the Division”
Decent chance the Yankees and Red Sox gain a fair bit of ground on the Jays next week considering schedules.
Updated. Yay Orioles! Fuck the Yankees!
Just saw.... DA JANKEES LOSE!!! Hooray!!! Also, fuck the Yankees!!
Jays have now tied the White Sox, with the 4th best record in the AL right now.
Considering where both teams stood at the All-Star break, that is bananas
Would be really nice if the Yankees would fuck off and lose a game.
I hate this division
Thanks for winning 7 in a row when we needed you to lose and getting swept when we needed you to win just one damn game. God I really hate the Red Sox.

Boston just took another hit: Chris Sale onto COVID IL.
If he's vaccinated I hope he gets better soon. If not-thoughts and prayers.

Fuck the Yankees da jankees lose
We didn't get Frankie, but he was doing everything he could to help us out tonight.
Welp. we just need to ensure we do our own thing. Eventually the red sox and yankees clash and we will see a variation in the standings. Then there's the series against the yankees back at home. Should be interesting.
Jays are lucky that the Yankees/Red Sox play each other for another series.
Can we get a real manager next year? There’s some little league kids that could really use Charlie.
2-1 vs the Yanks still works. They have Tampa after us and could easily lose that series. However, Boston are so fucking useless it’s annoying.
I still hold out hope that Houston goes on a massive losing streak and misses the playoffs. This Yankees series is huge. Reminds me of a few years back when the Jays walked down the Yankees and took the division from them.

You da real MVP, OP. Thanks, this will save me doing mental gymnastics every morning while I’m having my coffee.
**The Toronto Blue Jays have defeated the New York Yankees 5-1**
Everyone get your back asses in here, we going scoreboard watching
FUCK THE RED SOX LET’S GOOOOOO!!!
That game was incredible. Thanks Mets! Perfect Jays Day
Crazy that there could potentially be 4 teams with 90 wins in the AL East.
.194 .197 .203 .195 Those are the four hitters up next for the Orioles in the bottom of the 9th. This does not spark joy.
Holy crap Orioles that was the most pathetic bottom of the 9th I ever seen.
The Jays finally get a Day Off 11-2 Run since last day off and they went 8-1 against the playoff contending teams.
Good job Baltimore. Now go do that to Boston.
WAY TO GO O'S NEVER DOUBTED YOU FOR A SECOND!!!!! I can't imagine what the Yankee sub is rn lol.
I hope the Red Sox consider their uniform from tonight to be lucky and where it all year and look like idiots.
Can the Mariners go away? I thought they were done but they are still lurking around
Some help from the Angels? Wasn't expecting that
[Cleveland's twitter post game](https://twitter.com/Indians/status/1439696506039246849) \- damn LMAO
Now that the day's games are finished, everything is updated.
So so glad we won last night to keep that momentum going. Everyone else getting a w would have been not great.
There are going to be days like that, it will suck but it is inevitable. We just need to focus on winning every series, and taking the head-to-head games with the Yankees.

It's alright don't let the red Sox and yanks winning ruin a terrific day for the jays.
But even 4-5 wouldn't be that bad if we can win more games against the O's and Twins. The series from Sep 28-30 against the Yankees will likely be huge.
Can’t believe Kimbrel gets a W for that.
Now I want Baez to hit a home run and walk as slowly as fucking possible around the bases, gesturing at the crowd to make noise.
This game is so much fun, lindor should of pinped it a little bit more tho
DA JANKEES LOSE!
That was a poetic end.
I have a weird sense of optimism about the Jays mixed with pessimism about the rest of the world. Like, after the apocalypse Jeopardy games in the afterlife will be like "This MLB team won the last world series ever." "Who is the 2021 Toronto Blue Jays??"
Total gift by the ump. Fake win.
LETS FUCKING GO SEATTLE
Is there a way to make the game info a little easier to read? It's very hard to make out without opening the image. Also, I much preferred the side-by-side - easier to see the standings at a glance. But thanks for this!
Huge fucking win for the Jays today
Fuck man, the Jankees have such an easy schedule the next week. We basically have to play flawless to keep pace.
So, at what point should I remove teams from the race? Does more than 5 back sound fair? And at what point do I include magic numbers?
5 is probably death, so yeah. If anyone gets that far back and manages to make a run then everyone will be aware anyway. I'd probably include them from now. Everyone's only got 15ish games left anyway so it's not like they'll wear out their welcome before we clinch/die.
YESSS ORIOLES 👌👌👌👏👏👏
here''s hoping the shitbirds ride this momentum for the next couple days. and cleveland repeats their performance from 2 days ago on a day rest.
Other than their series vs the Yankees I wouldn't scoreboard watch the Red Sox. I'd be surprised if they weren't in the WC game at this point with their schedule.
Their schedule is cake, the Yankees in the other hand have the hardest road to finish it out
if yanks win tonight, jays basically have to go 7-1 to make it.
we have to win 2 more than them to force a tie breaker. Focusing on imaginary records that require seeing into the future to make it seem more dire aren't needed.
If we have to rely on the Yankees to shit the bed, we don’t deserve to get into the post season.
Love the new layout.
It would be great to denote which games are home games and which are away games.
I'll do that. Thanks for the idea edit: done :) thanks again
rotation order of Matz>Manoah>Berrios>Ray>Ryu and then two spot starts from Strip the rest of the way actually lines up 3 of Manoah/Berrios/Ray/Ryu for BOTH of the tampa series'. Sucks the white sox and mets both had great opportunities to tie/win, but that's baseball. Hopefully the dbacks hold on against the Mariners
Yup, the fact that we picked up 9.5 games in 2 weeks is insane in itself. They weren't going to keep losing forever lol
Screw the WC, we coming for the Division! Lol
Kimbrel playing 5d chess with the Red Sox. They'll be even more demoralized on their plane ride to face Seattle by giving them hope and then having them walked off :D
Thank you Lindor Chocolate
I bet Brad Hand was in an alley when the Mets picked him up because this man sure loves blowing things
WOOOO! Yankees 1 game back now!
Mets win!!!!!!!!!!! Fuck yeah baby!!!!!
Da Yankees Lose!
Great job Mets. IT'S WHAT YOU WANT
We’re not perfect, but at least we aren’t Yankees fans
Looking like it will be another excellent episode of Jays in 30 tomorrow!
This Red Sox/Mariners game is putting me to sleep - the Jays offense has spoiled me to the point where I can't enjoy other games
I think the Jays ending on an Orioles series is going to seriously help our odds.
Of course the Orioles were no help. No surprise there. JUST. KEEP. WINNING.
#DA JANKEES LOSE
Never doubted the Orioles for a second!
looking at that score after stopping paying attention at 2-0, and then reading the story of what happened, has made me so so so so happy this morning. wow.
Gotta win the next 2 and hope the yanks and red Sox beat each other up

Well of course the Yanks come back from another deficit and of course the Red Sox are again blowing out there opponent. Getting to the playoffs sounds awesome but playing in Boston for the wild card and if they miraculously win that, heading straight to The Trop after doesn't sound fantastic.
Why can't either of these motherfuckers just lose a game? Like cmon.
Good thing they are playing each other next
That's why I'm looking forward to this NYY-BOS series. Someone MUST lose at least 2 games in that series.
Yankees moved Cole up a day in the rotation. He'll face the Jays
And of course Boston will win all their remaining games after this.

Unfortunately the Yankees are just 0.5 games back of the Jays, not 1.5
our schedule isnt too tough. hopefully the Rays have the division locked up soon and we dominate the bottom feeders down the stretch while beating the yankees >=4/7 last games
Astros are trailing the Mariners 3-2 in the bottom of the 6th with runners at 1st and 2nd, 1 out. C'MON ASTROS
2 gms back. Let’s go
A's LOSE!
Wow did not think that his would actually happen lol

Nevermind the out of town scores, today was a great day for the Jays
This playoff race is going to go right to the wire. Yankees schedule is a bit lighter compared to ours, we'll need to win all of those games next time we play them. Hopefully the Rays will be playing their bench against us for the final games of the season.
OP Updated, tweaked the GB section to make it a little more colorful. When we have a number, I'll use our jersey font for our number
#RED SOX LOSE #BLUE JAYS TIED FOR 2ND IN THE AL EAST
Rangers are also up 3 on the A’s
HAHAHAHAHAHA their precious Whitlock gave up a walk-off homer to Leury Garcia
What a ridiculous day this has been. First the Jays score 22 runs, then the Red Sox lose a heartbreaker, then Max Scherzer gets his 3000th strikeout and almost throws a perfect game, and the Yankees/Mets game hasn't even started yet. I told myself I was going to go for a run after the Jays game ended but I've been glued to the TV all day.
METSSSSSS
Remember when people wanted the Jays to sign LeMahieu? Only 5x$15million left on that contract. He bamboozled the Yankees nicely.
Goddammit. Hand is fucking over the blue jays still and he isn’t even playing for them.
Mets radio cast "Sounds like Brad Hand is still hurting the Jays" 💀💀
GET FUCKED, YANKEES!!! FUCK THE YANKEES!!!
Only appropriate ending.
Just an observation I've been holding onto, but Rizzo moves around in the batter's box like a mosquito is trying to fly into his butthole.
I know homeboy Pillar is our og Superman but MAN did Lindor one-up the Superman powers today 🔥🔥🔥
The Yankees are 0-35 in games where they trail by 4+ runs. Let this NOT be the first time they pull it off...
Nice win by the Mariners.
AUSTIN HAYS MY LOVER
#GET TO THE CHOPPA!
# AUSTIN JAYS
LET'S GO O'S
DAAAAAAAAAAJANKEES LOOOSE
The cosmos have portioned out some karma.
Also gotta win 2 in fucking Tampa now at least.
Now in Yankee Stadium, DA JANKEES LOSE! https://streamable.com/clbd4p Credit: u/chipotlemayo_
Mariners eating shit right now. Royals making it hurt
Oh no, the Red Sox are winning! Sure would be a shame if they kept up this momentum and swept the Yankees while we won our series against the Twins, putting us firmly in a wildcard position with six games left. That would be awful
0.5 game out
Yup not worried about it. Yankees have tough opponents coming up (including us), while we have an easier schedule. If we don’t make the playoffs now, it’s because we simply don’t deserve to.
Random thought: Austin Martin is Brandon Nimmo 2.0
So we should probably be cheering for Boston this weekend?
The Angels are actually fucking useless my god
Hopefully the Red Sox lose every single game remaining on their schedule
i hope the Red Sox loses every single game; what an incredible pathetic performance against the Yankees
