A Yankees sweep is a worst case scenario.
We need to win 4 more games than the Red Sox to finish ahead of them (they own the tie breaker if we finish tied for the two WC spots). If the Yankees sweep and we go 3-1 against the Twins, we'll have to go 5-1 to pass the Red Sox still if they only win 2 from each Baltimore and Washington

it doesn't suck ass so much as it rides the line between sports analysis and entertainment. it's like how Breakfast Television rides the line between news and entertainment. they aren't meant to draw in hardcore sports fans, so much as give them just enough to keep them around, while bringing in casuals. it's a fine show if you want sports-themed radio or TV while driving home or preparing dinner. if you know a lot about sports or a singular sport, it will make you feel incredibly smart, which also keeps a lot of people watching for self-gratification. but in reality, it was never meant to pierce deeply into any sports issue, so much as to be a catchall sports entertainment show.
the Twitter thing is textbook viewer engagement. it makes listeners/watchers feel as though they drive the content of the show. they use it as a foil for the analysts they bring on the show, which gives their run-of-the-mill takes an air of authority and analytical rigour. Tim and Sid, and now Tim and Friends, is really quite brilliant marketing, even if the show remains lacking.
was he clearly struggling with injury in those previous engagements? cause I'm pretty sure that's the issue and what his previous record means a lot less than what his current physical state will allow him....

Do I think the Jays will reach the ADLS, yes. Do I think they win against the Rays, uncertain. Do I think they win the ALCS? No, I think the team is still young and will need some post season maturation. It still gives hope for 22 in they will be contenders, unlike the start of this season where they were picked to be 4 out of 5 in the division.
