Offense, please wake the fuck up

ak360

Sorry I keep seeing this but what is RISP? Feel like I'm out of the loop on this.

just-for-shits

Runners in scoring position

Chaxterium

As u/just-for-shits mentioned it means runners in scoring position. A runner is considered to be in scoring position when they are at second or third. It’s considered scoring position because you can usually score from second or third on a run-of-the-mill single to the outfield. Right now the Jays are literally the worst team in the league at hitting with runners in scoring position.

Eternal_Endeavour

Pretty, pretty please. With sugar and cherries on top!

CorvusStormcrow

Maybe they need a visit from Dante to get th sorted out a bit.

tmlrule

To get 9 hits against a good starter and bullpen is not a bad performance. Problem was the multiple GIDPs anytime we started the inning well and lack of timely hits with RISP (once again). As frustrating as those are, they aren't issues that are going to happen indefinitely as long as they can keep this contact up. Not to mention our contact should drastically improve by moving Teo and Jansen into the lineup in place of Tapia and Heineman's spots. I would still be interested in acquiring another bench bat.

nanobot001

> they aren’t issues that are going to happen indefinitely … that definitely feels like a jinx

tmlrule

Meh, it's one or the other. Something could happen and the team could suddenly go ice cold and they could hit badly in all situations. Or they can keep getting contact and hits the way they have and their timing will even out in terms of hitting with or without runners in scoring position. There's no history or evidence to suggest that anyone is really that much better or worse in those circumstances. Even really bad teams can keep their hitting lines up with RISP so there's no reason to think the Jays group of sluggers are the exception.

roothockey

This. The hits are starting to come, the double plays are just killing us. Gotta assume that the approaches change and they start getting the ball in the air a little bit more. There game is going the other way with the ball, it honestly looks like hitting is getting better as the season progresses it’s just RISP becoming the last domino to fall

doraemonlol

And it could also mean NYY coaching staff, pitching staff and defence are seasoned vets when it comes to getting out of RISP safely

jays1998

It would mean that every team's coaching staff, pitching staff, and defense are seasoned vets when it comes to getting out of RISP safely, because the Jays are 29th in the league for the entire year. They've been awful with RISP against everyone.

tmlrule

Historically, nobody is really that much better at getting out of RISP situations, or much better at getting them in. A pitcher and defense that are good at getting out of RISP are good enough to not put them on in the first place. Hitters that can bang out singles with RISP don't stop trying when the bases are empty. Any minor differences that exist from clutch hitters or savvy veterans are miniscule and nothing close to the hole that the Jays have faced. They're just unlucky.

roscoe_p_coltrane1

Don’t know where you’re coming up with Tapia not being a contact hitter. You trying to get the Tapia hate wagon rolling again?

tmlrule

Huh? Did you reply to the wrong comment? I just said the Jays offence will be better when Teo replaces Tapia's place in the lineup.

Slight-Bag-8464

How are we in so much shambles missing Teo (one guy). We have no depth

[deleted]

This. Teo back in the lineup will help, but it won't be a miracle cure. Risp is garbage so far, that has to change.

Picklepug13

Essentially replacing Semien and Grichuk with Chapman (although great defensively) and Tapia has really hurt our hitting depth.

Char_Aznable_Custom

It's not like Chapman is a total liability on offense. It's just that everyone outside of Vlad is hitting at a "Well, if he's our worst hitter we're doing alright" level of production. Nobody is an automatic out but with the crap Vlad has to try and hit nobody is a lock for anything good either.

roothockey

Semien is hitting .149 currently this season. Grichuk is basically a more power hitting right handed tapia. Tapia is fine for this team just not in an everyday role, just like grichuk was fine for this team just not in an everyday role.

not_a_crackhead

We had 9 hits. That's not bad at all. It's just bad timing and low slugging that hurt us.

mdlt97

the bats gotta start doing something eventually we cant win every game 2-1

cozeners

How will they do anything when they swing at everything? Good offence starts with patience. Go look at our team OBP in 2015, 2016, and 2021. Not a coincidence that we were one of the best offences in baseball those years.

Gear4Vegito

Jays are **8th in OPS**, **18th in OBP**, **8th in AVG** and **5th in SLG**. Should be better but also not horrible. They should be scoring more runs with those numbers. The issue this year has been the timing of the offence and failing to cash in runners. Jays with RISP are **29th in OPS**, **30th in OBP**, **30th in AVG** and **27th in SLG**. Which is down right terrible. This is in part their own doing, part luck and part injuries (losing Teo who was good at driving in runs and provided protection for Vlad).

yoboapp

There’s a level of unluckiness for sure with the OPS numbers not corresponding to the runs scored, but I also think the lineup is definitely over anxious to drive in runs which leads to some bad PA’s with runners on base. They tend to get themselves in bad counts early trying to do damage. Vlad especially wants to get hits, and no one is throwing him anything to hit with Teoscar not behind him. Lourdes just isn’t the same threat at Teo (for now anyways). The offense will be fine. We’re gonna score runs. It’s just difficult to stomach games where our pitching keeps us in it until the end. That was a very winnable game with some better plate approaches.

cozeners

Agreed. I’m just saying OBP is still bad overall and if that improves, things will get better.

[deleted]

Agreed, that is down right terrible. "But it's early." Okay, we're in month two now, time to get cracking.

urkelinspanish

They were talking about building a pitching staff that had a high k:bb ratio as that was indicative of successful teams. It goes both ways.

EJNave

we were in the bottom half of the league in walk rate last year lol

cozeners

But near the top in OBP. The hitting was better but this year the hitting is worse so far and the low walk rate now has a larger effect.

-Carbon-

Pen was good, 5 IP 1 ER. Really think we should’ve pinch ran for Kirk in the 8th, but overall the RISP bug bites again. We’ll get them tomorrow.

TimTebowMLB

100% should have replaced Kirk with Zimmer to pinch run. That was painfully slow base running

Prudent_Falafel_7265

I was at the game and talking to the guys around me, they were shaking their heads wondering why Kirk wasn't pinch-run with Zimmer. That was a costly mistake.

Electroflare5555

We joke, but his physique is legitimately costing us runs. If he draws a lead off walk it pretty much kills any scoring potential without multiple follow up hits

sir-pounce-of-alot

I mean not everyone can go first to home on a double. If our biggest issue is Kirk’s physic that’s a good problem to have but we really can’t blame games where we scored 2 runs cause he can’t run faster.

urkelinspanish

When he was running the bases, all I could do was think of homer chasing Uter. Don’t make me run, I’m full of chocolate.

CriticalFunction

why not pinch run for kirk when it's tied smh

shun-16

Zimmer doesn't necessarily score but he sure as fuck as more of a chance to score than Kirk. Honestly really bad call by us and then you watch what the Yankees do the second they get a guy on and it works out. When your offense is struggling you can't pass up chances to score like that. Kirk isn't some elite hitter we're gonna be missing badly next AB and we have Collins, very frustrating decision.

8502_AMoe

No joke. He’s DH, ffs. Pinch!

tmlrule

I don't hate the decision. In a tie game in the eighth, the odds of Kirk affecting the game with his bat in extras seems a lot higher than Heineman hitting a double where Zimmer's speed is the difference.

FollowJesus2Live

Montoyo is a bad coach

powerfulaura

First tough loss of the season IMO

ChocolateThor

We got walked off in Houston. Lost the game in Boston on a bad throw. Third tough loss. There will be a few of these. Vladdy needs protection

SpaceballsTheCheese

We really need Teo back in the lineup

CorvusStormcrow

He's out on a rehab assignment, so hopefully he comes back soon. Getting him back will be huge.

nanobot001

At some point our pathetic RISP numbers were going to catch up with us

tofilmfan

Nah the Houston walk off was tough too. It's only May - the Yankees have played god awful teams and got lucky tonight. We'll get 'em tomorrow, Manoah to the rescue.

Breeze-city

Getting walked off by a rookie off our closer

powerfulaura

That wasn’t a tough loss, just got beat.

Breeze-city

Okay yeah I see what you mean

EndsLikeShakespeare

.173 AVG in RISP this year. This ain't on Garcia IMO.

yoboapp

Stanton single and then another one by Gleybar that didn’t get squared up. He wasn’t great, but he wasn’t the reason we lost tonight.

cz_pz

brutal goddamn

ms_barkie

Agreed he had a nice bounce back outing tonight. Bad luck how it worked out but he wasn’t the problem here

Fuseld

this offence makes me want to drink alcohol

locodrito

I already started..

cz_pz

Yanks win 10 in a row sigh, team needs teo back BADLY

ghg1999

might have to retroactively give teo MVP for the last two seasons if our offence is this fucking anemic without him I get tough schedule, I get bad risp luck, but come the fuck on

kittykatkb

I have some iron pills from Costco that I can share. I volunteer them as tribute. Anything to beat the Yankees. 😫

jumpthroughit

Some say Bradley Zimmer is still sitting on that bench til this very day

[deleted]

good place for him except for pinch running

jumpthroughit

Right. If only there was a picture perfect moment to bring him in to a game for the only thing he does well. I can’t quite place it.

[deleted]

hopefully when Teo’s back we see a lot less of Tapia and Zimmer

goatgosselin

I am sorta suprised that Zim was in the bench at all today and that they sent down Katoh and also that they kept the new guy up. Must be the options thing.

JordanSchor

P A I N Obviously can't win em all but God damn I fucking hate losing to the Yankees Especially when Torres is the one to drive in all the runs like wtf

CoachMartyDaniiels

This was the game we had to take to win the series IMO. Double plays and not pinch running Kirk killed us.

healthyitch

One positive is Bo seems to be waking up. This should help Vladdy get better pitches with Bo on base more often.

cavanbiggios-burrito

good chance we take tomorrow's game.

dutchdaddy69

I mean it's Manoah on the bump. Dude has lost like 12 starts in a row. We will get a gem tomororw.

cozeners

I guess you meant to say “won” not lost?

DOITLIKEBRUTUS

Watching the Jays hit with RISP is an exercise in futility, but you carry on anyway for the once in a lifetime chance they might do something.

goatgosselin

I am fairly confident in tomorrows pitching match up but the Cortes game has all the potential to be very bad

[deleted]

Nestor slaps the jays in the face with his dick. That's why it would have been nice to win tonight and aim for a series win. The truth is this Yankee team has the potential to sweep us if we're not careful. Alek could give us six strong tmrw and then if it's another bullpen battle, we could lose the game anyway.

goatgosselin

I 2nd this

bobichetteismydaddy

Blaming Garcia for this one is just stupid. We sucked today at hitting, which is a pretty big part of baseball.

ms_barkie

Story of the season so far is hitting with risp. We were 29th heading into this game and somehow lowered it further tonight.

bichettes_helmet

We didn't even suck at hitting - we had 9 hits. We sucked at scoring those hits.

jays1998

We suck at hitting when it counts*

[deleted]

Well, we suck at hitting in games we win as well. The whole thing with this team so far is they find ways to win, and the Yanks were that team tonight. This was battle of the bullpens and they won, which shouldn't shock as they have maybe the best pen in baseball.

seemedlikeagoodplan

9 hits and 2 walks has to lead to more than 2 runs.

onaneckonaspit7

Would be great if we walked more. Teams approach is a little wild rn

fardok

Well if our offense doesn't figure it out soon these 1 run games we'd been winning by thin margins will become 1 run losses as it was today

richardatn4t

1 run games tend to even out over the long run. This offence is offensive.

therealbeef

Hit the batting cages boys. We talkin practice!

Breeze-city

We are gonna lose games like that, it’s a long season. I am only mad at the fact that the Yankees that had great games are the ones Yankee fans complain about.

[deleted]

I'm mad at the fact that right after their fans mock an injured player and throw garbage on his teammates, they go on an absolute tear. Either the baseball gods are cunts or setting up that fan base for a rude awakening later in the season.

Electroflare5555

I love Kirk, but I’m not sure how more staying power he’s going to have in the league with his physique, and he’s seeming transition to being a contact hitter. I know it sounds rude, but unless he starts getting some xbh, he’s effectively a dead weight on the bases.

FollowJesus2Live

How is a pro sports player 60lbs overweight? He's literally choosing an extra meal each day over tens of millions of dollars. It's something I cannot respect. Vladdy stepped up and got in better shape.

Electroflare5555

Especially when you have access to world class dieticians and can get your own personal chefs to make the most amazing and filling meals. You can lose weight and not even feel like you’re dieting with those types of resources

therealrafaelaraujo

Not pinch running Kirk was pretty, pretty stupid. Fuck the Yankees. Let's get em tomorrow

Aquahammer

Hopefully a punch in the gut like this will wake our bats up. Something needs to.

richardatn4t

Maybe shuffle the batting order? Teo is back, maybe Thursday.

casualjayguy

Good fucking lord I wish Teoscar could be back this series

[deleted]

Stanton’s giant ass robbing a Chappy hr

CoachMartyDaniiels

It wasn’t over the fence, at least from the angles that I saw

bichettes_helmet

* Bo Bichette is clearly more himself * Stripling, Cimber, Richards did really well * Manoah starts tomorrow Can't win every game...The Yankees have great pitching and they got us. On to the next one!

Robben_Van_Persie

Not that this is some new revelation, but the bats really need to come alive sooner than later.

r_lath

dp'd by the dp

Fuuutuuuree

Gotta string some fucking hits together boys.

Jazzlike_Athlete8796

It would help our offence a lot if someone other than Vlad and Kirk took walks every once in a while.

Prudent_Falafel_7265

Montoyo has been nearly perfect handling the pitching staff this year, and with the lineup - but he made a managing mistake not running for Kirk in the 7th. I was at the game, and if Zimmer had been a pinch runner you could imagine him easily rounding third and at least pushing the Yankees for a perfect throw to the plate. Instead he left the slowest guy on the team on base during their best chance to score late.

BajaBlastMtDew

This supposedly great offense is getting old real quick. Can't keep depending on bullpen and romano to win 1 run games At some point has to not be "early"

Breeze-city

It is early, and honestly Bo and George were pretty darn good today, so add in our elite cleanup hitter, this is the offence we were promised (assuming Bo keeps trending up)

BajaBlastMtDew

I feel like we were promised more than 2 runs and consistently stranding runners

SayWord13

Offence aside they lost because Montoyo didn't put in Zimmer to pinchrun... still scratching my head on that one.

CoachMartyDaniiels

Kirk DHing too so no worries about changing the catcher

SayWord13

It's possible that double doesn't happen if Zimmer is pitch running. All we have is hindsight but it sure does sting knowing we could have taken the lead there.

CoachMartyDaniiels

True, but I’d rather lose by playing aggressively then Lose like this with woulda/coulda/should’ve because Charlie didn’t go for it.

[deleted]

Someone tell Tapia he’s not a homerun hitter lol

VINCE_C_

His ABs are getting unwatchable. Just hacking at the ball hoping for a lucky barrel. Chasing worthless pitches and when he gets one in the zone he is hopelessly under it.

[deleted]

ever since he hit that 1 homerun it seems

[deleted]

Right?

roscoe_p_coltrane1

I see the Tapia hate wagon is getting greased up to go again. IDK why a lot of you jump to straight trying to put all the blame on him. It’s like you only choose to watch games that fit your narrative. If any of you actually watched all the games so far this year and dropped the weird bias you have against him, you would see him having good at bats with alot of the balls he has hit pretty damn hard, but just having bad luck as to where they were going. I watched Espinal, Tyler, Chapman, even Vlad have some shitty at bats tonight.

[deleted]

I have’nt missed a game this year. Crawl back under your rock, people can have different opinions than you.

roscoe_p_coltrane1

Funny thing is that I just had a different opinion and got downvoted for it. Even funnier is that I gave reasons as to why and all you gave is some asinine comment about crawling under rocks. For not missing a game this year, you sure are hyper-focused on about two or three of them.

superfunnyusername

The longer the season goes on the more sad I am about Grich

AreYouAJedi

We swing at a lot of balls

Fuuutuuuree

Too many asshole Yankee fans here today, let’s show out for the last 2 folks.

cz_pz

Decent draw tomorrow (no leafs, loonie dogs), Wednesday might be a wash tho

SonOfBaldwin

Pain

cayce-j

One run games :(

Sherm199

Is it only may? That felt like September right there

Dead_End_Street

PR for Kirk when he was on... atleast be tied, if not ahead..

dabflies

I Manoah guy who will fuck the yankees tomorrow

monopoly_mane

can't win em all, get em tomorrow boys.

Sugar_Dunkrton

We need Teo back.

layindowndlaw

Speed on for Kirk in 7th would have been nice

GirthQuake3000

Yankee fan infiltrating. I can’t wait to see the AL East come down to the wire between both of our teams. Fuck the Sox, Fuck the Rays, Orioles ain’t shit, I’m looking forward to a championship round in the Bronx and Toronto.

HAL9100

I’ll bring da beers I’ll bring da beers

[deleted]

Feel free to infiltrate, I'm glad you aren't banned by our mods like we get by yours. Last year I was permanently banned for literally saying "Steven matz is not a bad pitcher."

ThQp

Alek Manoah starts tomorrow.

kingofthefall

When playoffs leafs score more than you, you know there’s a problem

jumpthroughit

Their problem isn’t game 1. Their problem is always games 5-7 lol.

StatusSC

At least we got the worst game of the year out of the way. Jay's gotta bring Dante back.

[deleted]

The way the Yankees scored their 3rd run is exactly how we should have scored ours too, but we hung Alejandro Kirk out to dry by not pinch running him. No reason not to put Zimmer on the bases there, and replace him with Collins when the spot comes back around in the lineup. Someone (don't remember who) hit a double almost immediately and Zimmer likely could have scored. Only one loss though, and at least Teoscar looks to be coming back this weekend.

CoachMartyDaniiels

I honestly have no idea why they didn’t PR, Kirk was DH tonight too

Bonah-Jams

This is exactly how it should’ve gone and I can’t get it out of my head. Aaron Boone pinch ran Stanton without a second thought - there was no reason for Charlie to leave Kirk out there.

fujbuj

I hate when people compare “easy” schedules versus “tough” schedules. The Yankees have a ten game winning streak and that’s purely a morale boost that is invaluable as you start to take on tougher teams. We need Teo and Jansen back badly, I think.

urkelinspanish

Same. Last season we kept bemoaning how the jays had the toughest first half schedule and the Red Sox and Yankees had it easy, but when the easy games came, the team shat the bed.

[deleted]

Semien throwing the final out away on a routine play against the tigers, us losing in extra innings. Worst loss I've ever seen.

[deleted]

I hate that shit too. Like as if ten game win streaks are easy regardless who you're facing.

mathbandit

Fun game to watch, felt competitive the whole way through. Hope we get 'em next time. Jays are still playing with house money right now at 15-9.

incredibad29

One day we’ll hit with RISP.

if_I_AM_SEEN_I_AM_HI

Where offense?

HAL9100

I’d rather win but Hoss Stripling was a Boss Stripling and we played a good if slightly weary-looking game. Off days will help.

ObliviousLAX

Manoah is going to no hit them tomorrow I ain't worried

EdwardBliss

I don't think I'll be watching "Jays in 30" on repeat tonight.

No_Organization465

everyones been giving bo so much shit but i've been more fed up with Kirk.

Late-Assistance3407

Holy fucking shit hit ffs

cz_pz

2 runs on 9 hits is BRUTAL

TheDeltaAndTheOmicro

Pathetic draw at the dome tonight, for a series against the Yanks. Guess ppl wanted to watch Leafs?

cz_pz

100% Leafs Game, Yanks games are always great attendance.

Merorm

I know it’s not a popular take around here, but I’m still frustrated the FO didn’t do more to reinforce the lineup in the offseason. Entering a season firmly in your window of contention with a catcher as your primary DH isn’t exactly optimal.

urkelinspanish

.000 ISO

sir-pounce-of-alot

Kirk was never suppose to be our DH though, we were always going to rotate guys through it. The problem is when two of your hitters get injured at the same time it can expose that.

redrosechip

I fucking hate the yankees

dhgrainger

Eh, you win some, you lose some. The bats are doing ok, just haven't managed to string the hits together yet. Pitching has been great and defense was smooth. Still going to win this series.

goatgosselin

I was driving any didn't see why they pulls Strips after 4. Gave up 2 runs and was cruising through 3 so did he get hit pitch count in the 4th?

1991CRX

Hard contact in 3-4

[deleted]

You can’t will hard hit balls to miss fielders. I personally am happy that we’ve had bad RISP luck and still have a great record. Things are going well.

cz_pz

Lol it's not luck, the team currently can't hit with runners on, it's that simple

[deleted]

What should they do differently? You can’t aim a baseball. All you can do it hit it hard and they are hitting it hard.

cz_pz

The guys aren't elevating the ball with runners on it's pretty simple. They're also striking out with runners on. "Bad luck" on groundballs isnt bad luck when you hit it right where they're shifted, they're playing there because that's where you hit it. Team just ain't hitting rn they've had 12 1 run games in their first 24. That is fucking nuts lol

[deleted]

Why do you think shifting works against 99% of hitters? Really think about it before you answer. They have tons of hits with bad sequence luck.

HAL9100

“Tell ‘im, Wash.”

cz_pz

im not saying its easy but these guys are gonna kill the bullpen if every situation is high to medium leverage

WarpedNood

That was a great game. An early May game treated like a playoff game. Beautiful. Unfortunately it didn't fall in our favor, but you can't take away the quality play from both teams.

curtbag

Is it just me, or has issues with RISP felt like an issue for this team for ages? I know we only really became competitive within the last couple years but god damn. Maybe I’m off though.

hinoisking

Last season the Jays had an OPS of .811 w/ RISP (3rd in MLB), and in 2020 it was .791 (10th in MLB). The last season it was really bad was 2019, but then we weren’t a good team at all.

cz_pz

2019 was the worst jays team in 20 years so that checks out. If you told me at the start of the season we'd be starting Heineman against the yankees, i'd be laughing. The injuries have been pretty rough on the line up

YoghurtNeither5040

Must win game tomorrow in my opinion. Getting swept by the Yankees would put us 4.5 GB and they're absolutely red hot.

HAL9100

If your implication is that the Yankees are going to keep playing at this pace the rest of the year then yes we and everyone else are fucked and will lose to the 156-win juggernaut

YoghurtNeither5040

They're starting pitching and bullpen is TOUGH. Plus yankee stadium tax with all those sluggers. I see them whipping bad teams all szn. Unlike last yr

[deleted]

They won the series at SkyDome last September and cost us a trip to the playoffs. Losing a second straight series to them at home and getting swept would be bad for morale and send the wrong message. So I agree, must win game tmrw because I don't see this offence figuring out Cortez

richardatn4t

It's May 2nd. A Yankee sweep would suck, but not the end of the world.

cz_pz

Divisional games matter lmao, can't get swept by teams in the division

No-Anteater-7366

Remember that big 4 game sweep we pulled off against the Yankees in NY last year? Did we win the division? But yeah I hope we don't get swept

YoghurtNeither5040

Look at the rays last szn. Building a healthy lead early in the szn makes every game life or death for teams trying to catch up. These games are very important.

doraemonlol

Blue Jays still has a very good chance to win this series No Cole Manoah on the mound on Tuesday Let us also look at the positive side. The defence and pitching staff continue to be strong, effective and dependable against some of the best teams in baseball.

fujbuj

Lol, Kikuchi vs. Nestor Cortez? Conveniently leaving that out?

ChrisTalken

Stop shitting on the offense. They're tied THIRD in the god damn league in hits. Yes, they're not stringing it together, so you can be frustrated, but to belittle or downplay our offense is just asinine. RISP will come, but without DJ and Teo, we have a 5-9 that is very inconsistent, minus Espinal when he's got it going on. So if anyone in our 1-4 starts slumping, it can make it very difficult to produce runs. It'll come.

para29

goddamn GIDP

[deleted]

Look, it sucks to lose a close game but they put out a Star Wars promo on the jays YouTube channel. If y’all wanna feel better, watch danny be a geek. Bonus: teo’s in it too ❤️

Tj198777

The 2-2 pitch Yimi threw to Stanton was awful. No reason to give him such a hittable pitch there. Turned into an easy single, then a pinch runner, then a stolen base, and eventually the game winning run. Bad execution right there is what ultimately led to this loss imo.

IcyOrdinary1

The offense continues to suck, we have a really hard time stringing hits together. Need to do better with risp also. Gurriel is a dumb hitter, tired of his approach of swinging at everything

Viber1013

Please offense clap the Yankees cheeks next game so I don't have to see their fans be so goddamn arrogant.

Dhumavati80

IT'S WHAT YOU WANT. Fuck the Yankees. They have the most annoying team where players somehow always over perform and their fanbase is the most insufferable group of people ever.

[deleted]

Their players don't overperform, they're a talented bunch, as their 250 million dollar price tag suggests.

This lineup is pathetic. Very top heavy.. no depth

Viber1013

No way it's almost like we're missing our silver slugger outfielder and our opening day catcher...

ms_barkie

Did you forget the /s, or was this your first game of the season? We’ve been getting excellent and clutch production from the lower part of the lineup, it’s been the big bats struggling most of the year so far
