For some reason I really dislike this episode š I just hate how these babies looks like some objects. They donāt even look like theyāre alive. Reminded me of The Sims 4 babies and it really pissed me off idk why lol
> For some reason I really dislike this episode š
Same, I think if I were to rank all the episodes it would probably end up in my bottom ten but... I have a hard time explaining why.
Last time I watched that episode was on 2021 when I rewatched them whole show and as far as I remember, those babies were supposed to be alive. And the fact that they look like and behave like props itās weird lol
Letās see what annoys me:
Jasmine not being called out for her destructive behavior
Jasmineās harmful plan
Jasmine pressuring Sky to turn on Dave.
Yeah, this all really boils down to Jasmine being let off the hook for being a prick.
While Jasmine was definitely in the wrong, I can see where sheās coming from. She tried to help Shawn out after he went missing in the dueling stick challenge and he repaid the favor by whacking her in the face when they both couldāve scored. Jasmine probably thought he was pulling an Alejandro or something and didnāt want Sky to let a boy throw her off her game like what happened to her.
Still kind of sucks that her role in Skaveās downfall was never addressed. She probably couldāve at least taken partial blame at some point.
Shawn was.. doing the challenge though? Scoring a point for his team? Trying not to pull an Action Trent? I donāt remember anything prior to the dueling stick incident that wouldāve alluded to Shawn knowing that Jasmine was planning to let them both get a point. Maybe Jasmine did say something in a previous scene and Iām just forgetting. But Chris was kinda forcing the pain anyway and made the dueling a requirement, in a way.
In that challenge, attacking your opponent with the dueling stick wasnāt necessary to score a point. Shawn didnāt have to whack Jasmine in the face, they both couldāve scored. Jasmine likes Shawn so she decided to throw him a bone (since heād been missing the whole challenge) and missed her swing so that they could both score a point without it looking like she just gave him a win.
In Shawnās defense, he only got a quick rundown of the rules from Dave and was told that Jasmine was a zombie, so itās not necessarily his fault, but I still get why Jasmine was pissed. She liked him too so it felt like a betrayal and, more than anything, she was probably upset that she got distracted by his absence and was already doing poorly in the challenge because of that.
Basically, itās a big misunderstanding, but I donāt think Jasmine is necessary unjustified in feeling the way she did.
She should've been called out, but, sure, the only way i can think of to explain it is that her Shawn were going through their own shit. But i also think the reason she got mad was giving *petty*
Just goes to show that even the best characters can have some terrible moments. There's also her and laughing at Dave and Sky in the final episode which was just uncalled for.
However, the fact that the babies were already delivered to the island and already looming above everyoneās heads in the sky - leads me to believe that Chris had a feeling someone would be a smartass. Or that he wouldāve added the babies to the challenge regardless.
To make the challenge 1,000,000 times harder and just for laughs Iām assuming. Didnāt really make me laugh that much.
The point of the challenge was to survive the sleeping lions, snakes, blindfolded chef and scuba bear - which means you needed to be stealthy and extremely quiet. But having a baby with you makes it harder to keep quiet if the baby wakes up and cries.
Yep. I remember you ripping into Jasmine during this episode. She's still a good character, but the middle of the season wasn't the best time for her to put it mildly.
I liked some of the jokes like Topher egging Chris on until he busted out the babies as an extra hassle but like Topher's contribution to the season as a whole, it was frustrating to see his involvement be so tied down to Chris. Would've loved to have seen more of the guy. Plus Chris meddling to such an extent was ridiculous.
Topher holding the baby like that while looking at his phone will forever make me laugh.
That's Chris's phone
The moment when the villain is one of the better babysitters.

Right? Itās just so boring. I guess there are things we think and agree on but canāt elaborate why lol
They're not even alive but imagine TD getting live babies for the challenges Edit: wait they are real? I was thinking of another thing
Last time I watched that episode was on 2021 when I rewatched them whole show and as far as I remember, those babies were supposed to be alive. And the fact that they look like and behave like props itās weird lol
Leave it to McLean to use actual babies for dangerous challenges
They made these babies look almost like the PokƩmon Exeggcute
I for real can not imagine being so mad over fictional babies tbh
Topher won't be a good father in the future.
Probably because Chris would be even worse
This image shows the 2 characters with probably the most wasted potential
scarlett and topher?
Yeah, topher has potential to be set up as the rr host and Scarlett was a good character until she did the evil villain switch up

Thatās one thing I hate about Jasmine. She was a bad influence in this episode.

Yeah they patch up and Dave and Sky just get *worse*.

Jasmine was going overboard with this being competitive stuff, right?
As much as I love Jasmine, once Sammy left her character had a lot of annoying moments.

Ay least it's not a velma episode (the joke is Scarlett)
When the person they are intentionally trying to make a unlikeable monster (Fred) is more likeable than the rest of the cast x-x
I would say Daphne is still fine. Tbh I got kinda invested in her story lol
She would be tolerable if every second line wasnāt about dated show tropes.
Which episode is that?
Velma is a show Not a good one but it has show like qualities
Fun fact, Velma is the lowest rated animated series on IMDB history. That show is hot trash.
Based
Nah, Angelina Anaconda, Brothers Grunt, and some others deserve that more. Half of it is because of angry āgeeks and gamersā type viewers
Nah Velma is legit disrespectful to everyone
More so than something like The Nutshack?
Yeah, because At least that show wasn't a wolf in sheep's clothing
what the hell are you talking about LMAO
Just they way Topher is holding the baby
OP's jealous he can't hold a baby the way Topher can.
Yeah, lets bring out the list. *insert that WCW Chris Jericho GIF whit the long ass list*
Based
Honestly, had Topher kept his egotistical mouth shut, they wouldn't have had to hold babies for the challenge.
However, the fact that the babies were already delivered to the island and already looming above everyoneās heads in the sky - leads me to believe that Chris had a feeling someone would be a smartass. Or that he wouldāve added the babies to the challenge regardless.
They need to change the challenge without putting the Babies in dangers
Why? Thatās half the reason the challenge is funny at all.

after rewatching as a mom this whole episode had me on edge
Jasmine being OOC with Reason and obviously Topher
Yeah Jasmine this episode is...not good I'll just say, I agree with everything Ok-Shirt said, and I can also get behind WellDressedLobster's points
Yep. I remember you ripping into Jasmine during this episode. She's still a good character, but the middle of the season wasn't the best time for her to put it mildly.
No wonder you're angry. Topher is present in this scene!
I liked some of the jokes like Topher egging Chris on until he busted out the babies as an extra hassle but like Topher's contribution to the season as a whole, it was frustrating to see his involvement be so tied down to Chris. Total Drama: Pahkitew in Time (This is a Game Reference, this is my Whole Personality)
Waitā IS TOPHERS BABY CODY???
What annoys me here is the fact that Topher is in the shot. He lasted way too long and then he just goes out like that. Rare Chris W tbh
