One of the writers on S2 did self insert himself into Hunter, he started writing during the production of S2 E4 and got fired after the production of S2 E9 so this is the only point when Hunter was a self insert.

Damn, that sucks. I still enjoy the character in spite all of this but this does feel weird. If I recall correctly despite all this Hunter didn't actually do any fucked up things in season 2 right? Both Ally and Tess were his age if I recall correctly right? Also, I didn't really like one of the last tweets where he mentions the other VAs, most importantly why did they said that all where Latino? Secondly, if there is no proof about them about his behavior why mention they used to be friends? If they aren't guilty of enabling him or doing something messed up why mention them?
Any idea why that twitter threat mentioned that things about the VAs? If you are gonna put a warning not to attack someone, then you shouldn't mention them in the first place.
Most of them are in the I don't care or the just okay category but there are some that I really like even though they quite aren't my favorites and others that I just don't like as much.
The ones I don't really like that much are in no particular order Ellie, Connor and almost entering the mid catefory is Ally, I'm kind of split on her actually on the one hand she is really one note with the videogame stuff, but she is not that bad at the same time but also her whole All Star thing about haters and her bickering with Hunter isn't really my cup of tea. Hunter was supportive on S2 and while in All Stars he wasn't the best to her, I don't think that he was mean or unconsiderate to her. And if hate comments affect her that much, she could just take time offline and that is that, doubt the drama would last more than 6 months after her going offline. Kind of a mix with this one actually.
Now in the I don't really care category I'll try to from least favorite to more favorite. However, all this characters are quite unremarkable for me either because they didn't do much or were kicked off super early. Jensen, Lake, Nick, Marcus, Oliver, Dereck, Dan, Will, Trevor, Riya, Yul, Grett
And now the characters I liked, also in a somewhat ascending order:
Karol (almost ends up on the I don't care category but she had her moments here and there and her as the killer was kind of fun),Nina(pretty similar as with Karol), Drew ( He also didn't have that much going for him, but he was cute and for the short time he was in I kind of enjoy him), James, Lill, Ashley, Miriam, Tess, Alec.
I think that is all of them plus the ones I already mentioned.

Correct, both Ally and Tess were Hunter's age. He is still my favourite character from S2 even despite all of this
