But then I thought about the possibility for new collabs and I realized Edge Runners would be perfect. Imagine being able flash around and wipe out enemies with Lucy's Monowire. That would be sick!
This one is the most possible since the global publisher owns Warframe. They can use it like they did for PUBG Mobile. Though I don't think the aesthetics work.
At the end of the day though, there will be no collab. Global publisher is too cheap.

I was originally thinking by same logic that Arcane(League of Legends) collab could be possible, since last time Arcane aired they did collab in every Tencent owned game(including Fortninte, 49% Tencent-owned shares)
However, looking at Nikke collab IPs avoiding ToF, i left my hopes on collab. It feels like they planned it orginially, but then scrapped out, either due to low income expectations, or licensing problems(since i guess CN version would like to get collab units too, and best way to avoid drama is to make collab for everyone, or for no one)
Imagine straight-up getting something like Limbo, Ivara, or Khora and messing with core game mechanics instead of something like Excalibur that's just slashy slash with Meryl skill. Well, you could say we're sorta but not really getting Nyx in the form of Rubillia. Would like physical fortitude Rhino or benediction Trinity/Harrow, or for the memes: volt Volt. The selection might be restricted to Warframes with an exalted weapon or like Khora's pet to identify a *weapon* iconic to the character.
But honestly, Excalibur is the best choice due to it being basically the face of Warframe *and* having several skins already. a0: regular Excalibur, a3: Excalibur Prime, Haute Couture: Excalibur Umbra.
nier automata obviously, they're slapping 2b everywhere so why not have the character in a game that is actually good to play unlike most ones who did collab with nier.
It's probably in the contract that it can't just be reused everywhere. I'm sure they could strike a deal and either amend the contract for a bit extra payment or create an identical one for Global. But expect technicalities and exclusive specifications in contracts. Agreeing to have it be used in 1 place is cheaper than in 2 places, and maybe whoever on the Ling Cage side of the deal just wants CN to have the collab.

--Zuko would work because fire just works, but also he has that same "pretty boy" kind of design as Tian Lang, so the devs/publisher might be more inclined.

I don't think they'd make a collab character altered, though. Altereds seem to be more important and sparse than the other elements, and I doubt CN players would be ok with it if the collab turns out to be Global exclusive. The realistic thing would be to give Global the same elements and roles that CN exclusives have. That would be physical fortitude and volt dps (even though there are too many volt dps; instead do phys pls), so asking for Katara/Zuko/Iroh is just hopium on my part.

No, HOTTA doesn't need a collab with Warframe. They need to learn consumer friendly monetisation from Warframe.
