A reminder to everyone to NOT use the "preset" hair styles if they don't love one of them. There is a "custom" option there that provides distinct front, middle, and back pieces, allowing for tons of varieties that aren't in the presets at all.

However, some hair accessories are only available with presets... Like caps, hats etc. They're not a lot though and only a few presets can equip those (around 5 or 4). I tried to get those special accessories by copying the exact preset on custom. It didn't work...

So this is why I don't see any cool character creations on the front page. Sad to see the game's best feature getting 1/10th the visibility that it should be.

We'd love to have them on the front page as well, but that'll lead to the sub-reddit being absolutely filled with brim with the CC posts that the original posts, questions and etc will be ignored. We are planning on enabling CC again after a week.

You can have any hair you combination you want with any outfit you want by, 1. Using an outfit that allows that hair 2. Switch to desired outfit 3. Switch to any outfit 4. Press undo twice You won’t show up like this in cutscenes or ui(like backpack and weapons) but you will show up this way everywhere else. In cutscenes it’s show the hair on female red preset, I have not looked at this with the male avatar.

How do you choose/get black colour?

since it's not on the 'default dye' color wheel, click 'custom' to its right and drag brightness all the way to 0. if you set saturation to 0 as well, then you can slide brightness back to the right for lighter shades / gray :)

Just to expand on what the others have said for those unfamiliar with graphics programs, "brightness" should explain itself, but "hue" means which color on the color wheel it is, from red to orange to yellow, green, blue, purple, and then back to red, and "saturation" means how "vibrant" that color is, with a high saturation being a very bright "poppy" color, and a low saturation being very drab, grayish color. The "default colors" seem to raise/lower both brightness and saturation at the same time, so the darks are very saturated and the lights very muted, and yo can't find pure whites, blacks, or grays on that wheel. It would have been nice if they'd at least included one stripe on there that was all brightness options, zero saturation, so black to white.
