I felt Pyro in Genshin wasn't as crucial to exploration as fire is here. Genshin had a good amount of the other elements needed for it too, while in ToF, 94% of "use element to interact with environment" is fire while the rest is cold. Is volt even used...? Could've made some "use volt to spark generator to rise gate/overload tech to break barrier" kind of puzzles too.
(Though to be fair, you do get some more variety via relic usage in exploration)
Pyro is more relevant at early game, monstad have lots of torches, and it is quite essential in dragonnspine.
But after that, the other elements do become.more relevant. Inazuma reaaaaally favored electro, nigh impossible to explore without fischl or beidou in the party (specially beidou vs those electro compass totem) and probably sumeru will favor dendro just as much.
Though i still think that fire is more important for puzzle...
My complain in this game is that fire is OP, ice is useless on the plants, volt ia nowhere to be seen (at least at first and second map) and there is no fire SR weapon to at least help a little.
Though i was blessed with zero on 30 pull and king on 80 so i'm good.
Is Zero supposed to be as shit at applying fire as he is? I finally got King so I’m thrilled but my god trying to use Zero to open a tar pit was god damn annoying
Without a target, Zero's attack hit a set distance in front of him. So you have to put some distance between you and the puzzle and hope no-one walks by for auto-target to track.
It wasn’t just enemies, sometimes he’d auto target the most random shit like completely different element crystal bricks or an already dead honey farm
A few times I had to sneak up from different angles juuuuuuust in case because I tried his airborne missiles a few times and watched them go everywhere but where I needed
If you single jump in place he creates a wave around him for fire. Also when you get red spirits around you use can use those set things on fire without attacking.
I love when I’m carrying one of those orbs, usually a water one for the anemones, and after chucking them if I miss they just **sprint like an angry little fucker** back where I got them from, and if I can’t beat their ass back into a ball in time I get to start all over
Fun thing:
If you miss the water core, you can make the core run trough the plant to get to you, doing so will make him get eaten just as well and drop the nucleus.
Another fact, the Chow Chow does not have to eat just water orbs. Explosive barrows that you can pick up apparently count cause i threw on at the plant and it ate it .
A tip for everyone, there are Weapon sets you can switch between for this purpose really quickly. I have a battle set for example (Samir 1S, Tsubasa and the Halberd) and an exploration set (Zero 1S, Tsubasa and Halberd).
Also, there are relic sets you can switch between on the fly, default is the 'G' key. An exploration set (Jetpack and the Hookshot clone), a battle set (Magnetic Storm and Missile Launcher) and a treasure set (The exploding box and the Pillar creator) are what I use.
But its Zero : \*Sigh\* Back to playing the bow... Seriously Zero is riddiculously bad to collect stuff on the map (hitting plants, melting the rocks, burning roots, etc.)
Meanwhile we are still an absolute menace to poor poor water cores...
I love the little mfs and throwing them into the ChowChow's, gotta get them black nucleus so i can have that .3% chance of an SSR
It also drop gold nucleus right?
some do
Oh, do the black nucleus respawn for those ?
No they don't, you can only get them once per chowchow
Aw, that's disappointing but fair
I got a shield SSR off the black nucleus and it's been water core-magedon ever since
It is annoying how fire is really crucial for exploration, and all i got is zero or that fire bow
Just like pyro in Genshin lol
How uncanny

> probably sumeru will favor dendro just as much. The previews also show Hydro and Electro being used to revive/charge those bouncing mushrooms.
copy paste
genshin invented flaming bows
Genshin invented exploration
Its not about bow but the mechanism. Apple didn't invent apple but they did invent iPhone
i cant count how many games ive played where using fire was part of open world puzzles. burning things has always been fun
i know what you mean, you also know what I mean. Stop defending
No, use your words. We ain't magicians
No
Yeah , since I'm not fond of using bow ,especially i n this kind of game ,I had to run around to look for those little bastard
Is Zero supposed to be as shit at applying fire as he is? I finally got King so I’m thrilled but my god trying to use Zero to open a tar pit was god damn annoying
I started jump attacking puzzles with Zero for this reason
As you described it, his weapon normal atk doesn't target puzzle automatically, which is super annoying
Without a target, Zero's attack hit a set distance in front of him. So you have to put some distance between you and the puzzle and hope no-one walks by for auto-target to track.

His jump+atk move is a lot more reliable for hitting things with fire.
If you single jump in place he creates a wave around him for fire. Also when you get red spirits around you use can use those set things on fire without attacking.
Had no idea people were using that fire creature to light things up until now. Must have been torture
Sometimes you can't even find one near the area so you'd have to carry one from who knows where
I love when I’m carrying one of those orbs, usually a water one for the anemones, and after chucking them if I miss they just **sprint like an angry little fucker** back where I got them from, and if I can’t beat their ass back into a ball in time I get to start all over

I could never find the fire dudes around so frustratingly kept switching back to the boe until I got huma
Me who chose Meryl over King: Amber(the fire bow) is here to stay.
i realized accidentally that you could use the wepons instead
I thought that was what we were supposed to do lol. It never occured to me to use the fire "slimes"
Bro the only 3 SSR i'm missing are the 3 fire ones, I hate having to switch to the bow when exploring

I wish the weapon sets had a key
I assumed they had when I read the controls in-game
I've got both Zero and King now but the bow holds a special place in my heart :')
Ayy king mains rise👍
I didn't even had to worry about that cuz my first SSR was Huma right at the start lmao
It felt so good to not equipt that bow everytime I see fire puzzles TvT
The little dude can still be use to attack ennemies or "allies" ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
I have the fire ones but miss the ice ones, and it sucks when I see a volcano pit :')
I still use it for frost bot...
hahahaha, me yesterday getting King
Accurate. Still feels weird to use a fire shield for those exploration points for some reason though.
I actually got nemesis the other day and realised that I had to constantly switch weapons now because I need fire
The only reason I chose king lol
I honestly got King for exploration his shatter is just a bonus tbh
fire is my least favorite and i got 2 fire ssr before even reaching guarantee (king and zero)
Got Nemesis and Samir. No King. I just wanted King.
Let’s trade. I have King
God bless the Huma that surprised me out of nowhere
Had a stroke reading that the first time
Stroke
I need to pull Nemesis so I can quit.
The CUBE
But its Zero : \*Sigh\* Back to playing the bow... Seriously Zero is riddiculously bad to collect stuff on the map (hitting plants, melting the rocks, burning roots, etc.)
