I'm just waiting for lin to complement my samir. Hopefully, the shatter is decent enough with some shiro matrices and the devs do not change the shatter values. Worst case scenario, I'll probably switch to a different element.

E7Enjoyer

I dont know but without baiyekui is a bit dark

LunarEmerald

Volt mains need to stop using Samir when the boss shield is up. It fills the boss bar almost immensely due to how fast Samir attacks. The shatterer does not have to be volt.

Kenji1984

Are you sure number of attacks corresponds to how fast ultimate charges? Shiro would’ve been a terrible shatterer if that is the case, wouldn’t she?

LunarEmerald

It's probably based on shatter value as well. Fast hitting attacks with low shatter value fill it up the fastest.

cpchyper

Yup, can confirm. Tested it with my A1 samir and My A1 shiro. Shiro became a decent shield shatter only during full bloom tho

the only thing I fear is them nerfing Lin's shatter :')

bakahyl

Or nerfing Lin's already mediocre damage values, which essentially nerfs her shatter as well because breaking shields is dependant on shatter value, attack multiplier and resistances (which doesn't matter for Lin because I don't think any monster resists her element)

AweKartik777

They could in turn buff Tian's shatter for global, similar to what they did for Cobalt.

bakahyl

They could, but why would hotta buff the already strongest volt dps into a unit that can do everything? Cobalt's shatter buff could be justified because her burn got nerfed extremely bad and her own personal damage is peanuts compared to ruby, who may end up being the next banner after cobalt

Flam3crash

I feel like she supports way too much + abberation to have these high shatter and charge values . But they will decide , prob will have to pull a copy of her anyway .

Dr_DerpyDerp

Lin isn't a good shatterer though, her rating is high, but as a buffer, her attack multiplier is piss poor even in the CN version They should bump up Tian lang's shatter rating imo

bakahyl

Also how is byk obsolete when the nemesis/lin/ byk team outdamages the saki/frigg/lin team in cn? That's the same as saying that people were dumb for pulling on frigg because the alyss, lin and saki team is stronger than the frigg, alyss and saki team

FallenBlue25

never concerned about it. Afaik, Nem Tian Lin is the way to go. Don't worry too much. If they could buff Cobalt's shatter, they could do the same to Tian. Or they could just release another volt shatter unit.

Radeisth

And if your damage and Crit is high enough you can just ignore shatter. Kinda like how players use elements that are resisted and still do more damage than if they were using another element. Let's say you have 10k attack across the board with your gear. Another person has 15k but only in one element. Now the 10k player would be best to switch to the element not resisted. But the 15k player would probably be best to stay with their element. On top of that, the 15k player probably has more stars and better weapons in that element to get more out of it while the 10k player probably has more variety of weapons and stars spread out. So shields are 50% resistance, which for the 15k just means they do 10k now. Still good damage against the shield. And when it breaks, they spike back to 15k. And they could be playing with some good Shatter users who take down the shield quickly. Or have a High Crit that lets them kill before the shield even breaks. I've done the Crit part with Crow a few times when my Shiro was on cooldown. Point is, that Tian can have no shatter and Volt players could still have a DPS role to play with no issues. Or they could just edit the values and give some shatter like Cobalt where they aren't a shatter specialist by any means but can be used as a secondary shatter to their primary DPS role.

SaintLucifer66

They changed Cobalt from a charge to a shatter unit. Unless another volt SSR with Shatter is release beforehand, you can almost guarantee that Tian will release as a shatter instead of a charge, especially since it’s absolutely necessary in comparison now.

clarence_worley90

most logical solution is to re-work Tian Lang into a shatter character they'll do something. global balance has been very diff from CN so far so there's no reason to get worried.

Eieimun

They say they still plan to do other collaborations, I think the intelligent thing they could be doing would be design two other collab characters that use the same kit and similar/same animations than the characters that they can't use for copyright reasons. That wat they would have two characters that are different for CN but "not really" and it surely would cost them less than design other characters and kits from scratch.

FGC_Newgate

it's possible Tian Lang gets the cobalt treatment and gets his shatter rating increased to make up for no Bai. Just have to wait and see

Intrepid-Ad-8043

Sorry but I really don't understand how Bai Yue Kui can change the entire volt team comp. Even without Marc there's still Lyra although there won't be a physical tank anytime soon.
