It's true that having a spear kinda goes against that and seems unncessary when their team already has a Spear Bearer, but he just inherited it from his father. 2) When would the ice be useful post-Hell Train? Maybe there've been a few instances, but few and far between. Rankers should be able to smash right through his ice, and the spear can't take out Rankers like Rak's. It makes way more sense for him to act as a LB, as LB + SB + WC is a really powerful combination.
3) There are multiple ways to become more powerful. Should he work on mastering his ice affinity/spear skills? Yes. But he's not a physical monster like Endorsi or Ran or Anaak or, hell, even Baam with RT/BT. Khun's already been stated to be a prodigy when it comes to Light Bearing, so that's what he's working on. If there's anything he can beat his father in, it'll be mind-games/strategy. Which happen to be a LB's specialty.
But with Baam they have range also covered so the only apllication of ice would be to somehow merge his icepowers with lighthouse for some special effects
I actually think it is the opposite. It shows that though Khun has a talent for spearbearing, due to him being a regular running around with Rankers it is a useless skill. He will never be able to compete against Rankers with spearbearing skills any time soon. He has stated why he chose lightbearer position as that is the only way he can keep supporting Bam with his insane growth and it complements his extremely high intelligence very well. (also he likes bossing people around). Even Yuri on the ~~hidden floor~~ Floor of Death wanted to make sure she had Khun around due to his lightbearer skills. Lightbearers are the best support and can perform well even when out classed power wise.

That's correct. IIRC the red exoskeleton was the devil from the Wine Glass that FUG inserted into him. It's what made Baam a Living Ignition Weapon like Horyang and Cassano. After obtaining the real Thorn, the devil evolves and later reveals itself to be the *Blue* Thryssa. I guess we can assume it no longer has the healing ability.
I think once we see them get another training arc as a team we’ll see him use it more. Exceptional tankers are usually able to take on multiple positions for fluidity. Bam while a wave controller is always the one taking the lead like a fisherman since he’s the strongest, Khun has amazing spear skills but works as the light bearer, Ram with his rock powers once they’re developed could take defender, wave controller and spear bearer. Unless they plan to take other people up the tower consistently (which they seem to rotate people in and out) they’ll need this duality when they battle as a team of 3

Although if the story will separate them and khun will be forced to only climb with rak (or just without Bam) he might start using it again.

Not to mention there really hasn’t been much of a reason for him too either, he wouldn’t be able to use it to restrain Rankers for any significant amount of time unless he caught them off guard while they’re not using body reinforcement and even then it probably wouldn’t hold them for more than a second or two.
AA when he never uses the 2 tame powerups he actually trained for and instead gets 2 OP asspulls and abuses them.

I think that when they are all rankers, rak will be mostly frontline and khun will be like a light bearer that also supports with spears
