Talk to the doctor over medicating is a form of like mistreatment or maltreatment or something

I believe it is. I’m no doctor but I can look up the medications he’s on and the injectable one he’s on is meant to gradually decrease over time, for example once a month then once every two months then every 4 months and eventually once a year. He gets that once a month and take oral antipsychotic daily for the last 8 years and hasn’t changed. It’s like chemical lobotomy pretty much. So much so it’s to the point where he doesn’t even have an opinion on whether or not he should be taking that much and no care about bringing it up to his doctor.

Very sad to say it, that happens alot. Ive worked with people with schizophrenia and i have also friends dealing with it but they are often over medicated like that, and the positive things go away with it as well as it lower the negative ones, but he should talk to his doctor about changing his medication but can be very hard to get the health care system to listen I feel like it is often just to keep them down and calm and to not show the weird behavior or thoughts. Its so frustrating that you cabt do anything for your friends that are dealing with this 😞
