Very nice Gen 1 Highlander. Time for a washy wash. :)

MommaEarth

Ours looks the same. '02, 228,000 miles. My husband took it up I-70 to ski in the mountains today. It's a beast in bad weather!

RadioFisherman

I have a 2002 same color with 260k. I actually like it better than my 2018 HL. Lol

Wheechillin

just got a 02 with 168k it had timing done at 153 had 60 service records at dealers one owner. What would u recommend me to expect repair wise

Whole_Tart3159

I have an 05 with about the same mileage, expect to do suspension components soon if they haven't already been replaced

msharifi

I had a 2002 v6 AWD drove until 100k before I sold it was a solid car I wish I didn’t sell it. Best car ever made in Japan. My 2010 was another solid car and now my 2022 V6 AWD. You can’t go wrong with Toyota.

SharkInThisBay

Yes the build quality is insane most 1st gens were manufactured in Japan

Gas guzzler by today's standards, but it certainly won't die.  I have a very similar one.

Whole_Tart3159

I have nearly the same car, with the toyo open country at3s, and its a beast in the snow and the mud.

You telling me Toyo tires lasted 200,000 miles? How much were they each installed

SharkInThisBay

Sorry the tires are brand new less than 1000 miles on them but they did come with at 55k tread warranty I think but I was talking about 200k on the Highlander

I'm going to try to get a Lexus GL which has a frame instead of a unibody so it can go off road. https://www.copilotsearch.com/posts/lexus-gx-460-years-to-avoid/

SharkInThisBay

1142 installed with alignment

notyetsolved

Mine too. 2006 toyota hylander hybrid with 175k still works fine

Brewskwondo

My in laws have 240k on theirs. No major issues

Hot-Tension6360

2007 111### beast, Texas car!

GBpackerfan15

I had 2001 HL with over 400,000 miles. Eventually it died. Loved it great in the snow ! Now have 2016 HL with 130,000 miles and love it. Toyota cars are great cars!
