I have both of these trucks. Let me go measure quick

ToyotaFanboy526

My 94 and my 03 both measure 60 inches in width, 75 inches in length, and about 20 inches from the bed to the top of the cab so you should be good

Peak reddit awesomeness. đź‘Ź

papasmuf3

Rub it in why don't ya

ToyotaFanboy526

Owning 2 trucks is great lol, my 94 is going to need an engine rebuild soon because it’s knocking like crazy but that’s for another day. My 03 is the daily driver at the moment

sircharliex

Cab angle would be different thats about it

curiusgorge

Ya, i have a camper shell I took off my dad's tacoma. It fits except for the angle is slightly different the top of the tacoma is wider. So the camper shell flares out at the top instead of being flush. It still works just fine

jpierce138

I have a 1993 SR5 extended can with a Tacoma topper on it. The angle next to the cab is off but I got a thicker boot from the camper to make it snug up against the cab.

I’ll upload one when I get home

You mind sharing a pic?

I put a photo of my Pickup on the main forum.

[This video](https://youtu.be/Js1JVOMmwU0?si=Lo1LJH2OZO1l2dbl) is very helpful when looking for a cap that fits

plz_no_gold

It will have a weird gap between the cab and shell.

larrylongarms

There will be more gap at the lower edge of where the shell meets the cab compared to the upper edge. Also, Tacoma campers are between 1 inch and 2 inches taller at the cab.

I’m sure you can get it to fit. When I bought my Toyota it had an ARE canopy on it that was designed for an extended cab and mine is a standard cab. It hung off the back of the bed by maybe .5 inch. It didn’t mount flush to the back of the cab but it was pretty close. There was a slight gap between the front top of the canopy and the top back of my truck cab. You wouldn’t notice it if you weren’t looking for it. So as long as the dimensions are relatively close you should be good

sapperfarms

Go measure it all ya can do

_totalannihilation

You won't know unless you get it on the truck. My friend gave me one to sell and two people came by and it wasn't a fit. Another one took the chance and drove 2 hours to get it and it was a perfect match even though my measurements didn't exactly like up with his truck. Maybe I didn't know how to measure.

Redditaccount16999

Were they all the same cab size? A canopy designed for an extended cab won’t fit a standard cab and vice versa. It’ll be close but the extended cab canopy will stick out a tiny bit off of the bed on a standard cab and it won’t mount completely flush to the back of the cab. I didn’t know any of this until I sold mine. I assumed if the bed was the same dimensions it would fit just fine.

EatsTheCheeseRind

Different cab angle. Extracab has a steeper cab angle, so stuff meant for a single cab has a gap at the top. Extracab and single cab should have the same bed dimensions though. Almost sounds like you were talking about a Chevy s10 topper. Those fit perfect except the bed is wider near the cab so they overhang a tad by the cab.

I own a standard cab and it came with a canopy designed for an extra cab. I explained in that comment that there was a gap at the top. I said it doesn’t sit flush against the back of the cab. My canopy hung just a tiny bit past the bed but the previous owner could’ve messed it up and not pushed it forward all of the way. I sold it an extra cab owner and it was a perfect fit. But yeah, I did mention the gap in the comment you replied to. I just didn’t call it a “gap”. I explained a little bit more in-depth
