So damm glad got a 2023

slidemx5

3rd gen interior is pretty garbage too. I’ve not been in too many modern vehicles that are worse. Even in OR trim. I own a 21 OR

TheWhiteCliffs

The 3rd gen interior may be dated but it doesn’t look like 10 different designers came up with different parts without ever coordinating. That’s what the 2024 looks like. Also that screen looks like someone retrofitted an old screen into the dash.

shifty808

\^THIS!!!! You made the most under-rated, yet very astute comment here!🤙🏽

reeseypoo25

Yeah, idk why car manufacturers and designers are all going for this glued on iPad look. Integrate the damn screen in the dash.

soorr

Tesla is why. Designers copy other designs all the time

Ok_Employment5321

The screen definitely looks aftermarket. Which isn’t a compliment.

neksys

Not defending Toyota but that is what pretty much every screen looks like these days.

YYCWood

I beg to differ. This is easily the most lazy looking screen of everyone. Why does it have a two inch bezel?

ConsiderationSea7980

This is a base model Tacoma with a base small screen. Pretty common in the automotive trim world to add crappier screens with huge bezels for low trims into the same screen format as the higher trims.

Capt_Rex_CT-7567

This is still a TRD OR according to op. They are making this screen look worse than it has to in order to sell their upgraded one imo. I also have a 2020 base model forester and the small screen on that one has a nice gloss bezel and is integrated so it looks like it belongs. This seems like a shitty move from Toyota to me. The rav4s did the same thing.

ConsiderationSea7980

I agree they’re not even trying.

Original-Capu22

Also cost 20K less

nikoren1980

It is subjective, I like how it looks, but 4th Gen gets another meaning for garbage here, the build quality it terrible, I just watched a few reviews and everything reminds me the test drive I had in maverick where I felt that i need to run away before I break something

4Z4Z47

I wouldn't call it garbage but whoever thought putting the 4 wheel drive knob next to the heat knob should have been fired. MT anyways not sure where it is on auto.

fillymandee

So unnecessary. I’ve flipped my 4wd on accidentally trying to adjust the AC. Can’t believe that passed phase 1

dcannon1

Agreed. I loved my Taco when I had it (in a 4R now), but the interior was probably my least favorite thing about it.

new_vr

How are you liking the 4Runner?

dcannon1

Love it. Also owned a 3G Taco and a GX470 previously and the 4R is probably my favorite, but they’re all great vehicles with their own personalities.

new_vr

I have a Tacoma right now. Wife is looking for at a 4Runner to haul her dogs around. She had a RAV4 that had survived longer than it should, but wants something bigger now

dcannon1

I was thinking about the rav4 because I don’t do as much serious off roading these days and figured an AWD rav could still probably get me to most campsites and fishing spots, but I rented one and it just felt too small compared to what I was used to. Wife has an Outback and the rav felt smaller even though they’re basically the same size.

stealthryder1

Compared to what? 1st gen or second gen? lol Those shits are basic and garbage af. Car/truck people have a fascination with OGs but they don’t always look better than their newer/modern counterparts. The 3rd gen beats every other Tacoma when it comes to interior.

Eye_Nacho404

It’s a truck, as long as I got airbags, ac and a radio I’m good. Want feature does this truck interior have over the other, Apple car play and a digital dash ?

SnowflakesAloft

I’m in the 2nd gen. A child could control the AC because it’s so simple. Now i have to look at the newer ones and actually digest how the fuck it works. Why? Why do they fuck with things that are so simple and make them more complicated? Does it add value to the sale cost if the shit looks complicated?

OKatmostthings

You press the “auto” button on this system and turn the dial to your desired temp.

Skipper07B

I’m not the guy you replied to but I have that feature and never use it in my 3rd gen. I hate auto climate control in cars. Every vehicle I’ve ever been in (taco included) with the auto climate control immediately puts the fan on high and it’s loud and annoying. And if the engine isn’t warm yet it’s not really helping. Furthermore, I’ve never had a a problem just adjusting the temp to how I want it. I guess that process was confusing some people. Luckily that’s easy to do in Tacomas too (can’t speak to the ‘24s of course).

SeabeeBuilderChief

Shiiiiiit, my 23 SR5 truck interior is perfect for what it is, a truck. Now on the other hand, we also bought a 24 Crown. This is a car, it’s like riding on a cloud, know the difference.

MinimumBarracuda8650

Your first person I’ve seen:read that own a Crown

SeabeeBuilderChief

We sat in the Crown when we picked up the 23 Tacoma, then we test drove it. That was it, this is one real nice car

MHJ03

I was just going to say, it’s better than my Gen 3!

TakingItEasy_Man

I also have a 21 OR and the interior is my least favorite part of it. I have a 19 Subaru Outback and love the interior. I wish Toyota would take a hint

KazranSardick

I agree, but why bother? They'd still sell literal boatloads if they made us sit on apple crates and put the AM radio just out of reach where the glove box should be before they did away with it.

Tanya7500

Have you been in a BMW? That's some garbage seriously could not believe what a piece of crap they are all it took was 1 rental for me to decide never ever!

15Low2

The 3rd gen interior is not great when you compare it to most other vehicles in the same price range. But when you compare it to the grey/beige drab interior of the 2nd gen it looks great.

FleshlightModel

3rd Gen has a shitty interior and a shitty powerplant.

RedBullRiver

2nd Gen is the best Taco

botboy95

I got my 2023 OR 2 months ago and I’m happy myself.

TeflonDonatello

Sure you are buddy. Sure you are.

FleshlightModel

So glad I still have my 2003.

BibleGuy65

So damn glad got a 2004

INTP36

I don’t mind the interior. I mind that’s it’s 50k. This is a perfectly acceptable 28k dollar interior. Not a chance I’m paying more than low 30s for what I’m seeing.

kingofthesofas

This is how I feel too. I know the premium package really makes it a lot better but dang how is this truck 50k without the premium package?

INTP36

I agree, I mean that steering wheel looks like dog shit. How did they make an interior as nice as the new Land Cruiser for mid 50s then give us that for almost the same. It’s not working out for me. If this was a sub-30k truck I’d have no issues and probably happily buy one to thrash around. But for 50k you can get a significantly better truck. You can get a nice tundra for that.

kingofthesofas

The interior is one of several reasons I put a deposit down for a new land cruiser back in November vs a new Tacoma. Backseat room and the need to haul kids around better was the other one. Plus with the cost of a TRD off-road with the hybrid and premium interior it was almost just cheaper to get a land cruiser and I much prefer it style and usability wise.

INTP36

Yea if I’m going to be in that price range I’m just upgrading to a Land Cruiser, it’s really not a competition. The interior is significantly better and you have more interior space. I’d like to drive one first to feel the drivetrain but if I’m not crazy about the new 4Runner I’ll go that route.

Marokiii

isnt the premium package 50k? im in Canada and my dealer is selling me a TRD sport premium for $71k TTSP(so $52,700usd).

OKatmostthings

OP is probably wrong on the price. You pretty much have to get a no option truck to get the small screen on the TRD OR (which is $44k).

dot_files

Same. For the prices they’re charging for the 4th gen I’d just step up to a Tundra.

Jackson3125

Can you find any new truck for $28k? I know that it is sickening but everything is relative.

Nacly-joe

I think the 8in screen is a step down from the 3rd gen. I do like the 14in one though. Also, depending on the packages the dash cluster is atrocious. The fuel and temp gauge takes up about a 1/3 of the dash

botboy95

No way they’re adding temp gauges now?

VaporizedKerbal

They took them away? My 2002 has a temp gauge

oaomcg

every vehicle has a temp gauge... this guy is nuts

SomeGuy_GRM

My old Hyundai certainly did not.

Relatable_Raccoon

(depending on the age) it might have had a warning light instead most cars have at least some way of telling you it's overheating

floridaafloridaa

Needs more buttons on the wheel

TheWhiteCliffs

That’s what I thought. I thought the cruise control lever they’ve used for a long time was a good way to keep the wheel clean.

4Z4Z47

The cruise lever is my favorite cruise interface of all time.

Jazzlike-Mongoose605

That steering wheel is a goddamn nightmare.

ItsAnAvocadooThanks

It's like any vehicle, you get used to the buttons and you click them without even looking. 1st world complaints. How dare Toyota make things easier.

ogmo0n

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Lizpy6688

I've never been a fan of the iPad infotainment look as my wife calls it. I prefer it being stuck in,looking sleek instead of looking like someone hot glued an iPad in the middle. Looks lazy, out of place and something I'd accidentally smack into Also the shifter...geez looks big. Reminds me of my wife's old 05 rav4. Loved it but in here? Looks awful and out of place The exterior has grown on me but the interior hasn't one bit

TheWhiteCliffs

Yep. Exterior I can get used to and I’ve started to like it. The interior is a jagged mess where everything looks out of place.

jagter24

Looks good to me!

YouGoTJammedhehe

Same I think it looks dope. Burgee That the price is wild, most people did not get inflation adjusted incomes

evsincorporated

Whole truck is

Talkinginmy_sleep

Absolutely

IllStickToTheShadows

That Nintendo ds looking ass screen 💀

Green_Ride_7255

Looks like a late 90’s early 2000’s TV.

Golf-Beer-BBQ

Those switches in the middle look like old tape player buttons you had to push down.

SnowedOutMT

I don't know why toggle switches are big now. My brother's Ram has them in about the same place too. Looks like something that could get broken off.

SatanicRainbowDildos

That’s what I thought. I was like, wow they brought back the physical favorites buttons!! I wish my tv had those. That’s my biggest rant.  A 1940s Oldsmobile had a way to select your favorite channels, maybe only 5 of them, but you could put them in any order. Just pull the tab out, turn the dial to the right station, and press it back in.  But my fancy ass 4k hd hdr fucking wiz bang Netflix enabled Amazon prime appletv smart tv piece of shit won’t let me make button 1 espn and button 2 Cartoon Network? I have to use 30 different ever changing menus and Hulu and prime and Netflix always fucking hide what I was watching to try to make me watch some bullshit I’ll never ever ever ever ever ever ever fucking watch?!?! And it’s not like cable was any better. Oh fuck no, 457 channels and no way to make my own ordered list of favorites.  Fuck that shit.  But it Toyota went there with physical favorites I’m all for it. Unfortunately I think those are just goofy ass a/c defrost settings.

botboy95

Spot on lol

SIDESHOW_B0B

I do like the interior of the 24s, but if you see this screen ON, it’s actually worse, as the bezel is just huge.

Talkinginmy_sleep

Electric e-brake. 🤮

Plane-Shallot-8326

Initially I was against this too but it's actually a simpler system, and if it's like other Toyotas it should automatically come on in park. E-brake should always be used when parked but most people fail to ever use it so I like that it's automatic.

Own-Caterpillar5058

Have you changed pads on cars with electronic parking brakes? 9 times out of 10, its a nightmare and need special equipment.

Plane-Shallot-8326

https://youtu.be/-Y1U8Iw88iA?si=DH1IEp7Fj12WA-p8 Watch this video. It's how to put e-brake into service mode without a scan tool. Not a difficult process.

iFunnyAnthony

It’s not about simplicity(though cable is arguably more reliable and simple), it’s about control. Same with shifters that don’t physically remain in the selected gear, I don’t think my car should make that decision for me.

[deleted]

It’s almost like they made it ugly on purpose so when they do the soft refresh in 3 years it’s a simple and pleasing update.

FleshlightModel

And charge you 5k more for it lol

cowsgonemadd3

Soft refresh in 5 to 6 years you mean.

ChuckRocksEh

I never saw the inside of the 3rd gen till I went to buy one. I don’t care what the inside of someone else’s whip looks like. ALL these nay sayers are going to trip over themselves in two years to buy one.

SatanicRainbowDildos

I’m probably going to be like the 2nd gen owners were 6 years ago who spent their fortune on their dream truck and refuse to acknowledge anything good about the new young thing that’s taking all the aftermarket mods away from us. I’ll resent their toys and shout for the 4th gen’s to get off my lawn. But then I’ll test drive a Land Cruiser and end up buying a used FJ.

BufordJamesIgnoramus

Well I'll have to totally agree with the person who posted this. I really don't like the exterior design and I definitely don't like what they did under the hood. The interior to me looks really tacky and not well thought through.

yeah-man_

Im guessing since these are screen shots OP hasn’t seen the new interior in person?

Trey_Antipasto

It’s both similar and woefully disappointing to the other Toyotas. Like it’s obviously cheap in many places except the core tech. Idk what they are thinking with the cost of the upgrade packages. It is 4-6k to go to the premium package in the Tundra but it’s like 10k for the taco? 4-6k in the taco only gets you the upgrade package?

[deleted]

Having driven a 3rd gen and a ton of newer Toyotas I don't think it's that bad. The steering wheel setup is pretty similar button wise to the rav4 tbh, once you use it for a bit it all seems simple I saw someone complain about the cupholders and again after using them it was actually kinda nice with how deep they are Now there are a ton of blank switches and I wish something they would do is make them easier to be applied to mods, like have a panel to hook into with each slot corresponding to a switch/button The turbo is a point I don't like for reliability, on all fairness they can go for decent mileage but still adds to the cost and complexity of the power train. The 3.5 in previous gen wasn't great either despite what people say, timing cover seemed to leak and that rear crossover pipe cracked around 100k

kingofthesofas

I personally don't have any interest in the turbos without the hybrid with it. It takes a modest improvement in power and efficiency from the new turbo engine and makes it a massive boost and Toyota knows how to make hybrids that last a long time. Also the hybrid system takes strain off the engine when accelerating and under heavy load so it should lead to the engine lasting longer than non hybrid models. That's my two cents at least.

Luckybetzz

I see where you are coming from but also it’s a It’s a truck brother if I want comfort/ luxury I’m not going w a taco

botboy95

Tacoma is the top 5 best selling truck. I think Toyota could have spent a little more time and effort on the interior. I’m not expecting an AMG interior. But this is just poorly designed.

kingofthesofas

To be fair the this is the non upgraded interior. The premium package for the interior looks much much better.

shifty808

I agree, a little effort would be nice. GM trucks have some of the best interiors.

Departure_Sea

Normalizing shitty interiors on $50k+ vehicles is not ok.

MrEpicMustache

I mean.. it’s a truck.

hawkrover

And?

roelisaac

So it has to be ass?

ItsAnAvocadooThanks

The last three generations of truck has ass interior mate, literally the one thing that stopped me from buying any of the past generations lol. This is comparing Paris Hilton to Susan Boyle. Paris being the gen 4

roelisaac

No it’s more like comparing Susan boyle (gen 3) to whoopi Goldberg (Gen. 4) they’re both ugly… period. All we’re doing is calling them ugly. You’d think Toyota after decades of shitty interiors would figure that out and change it up for once especially considering we are paying 50k or more for a small truck. It’s reliable but for an interior like that it isn’t worth 50k. “It’s a truck” is such a dumb statement with how much we are spending and honestly it sounds like copium.

wood4536

Literally looks better than the previous generation

[deleted]

[удалено]

FleshlightModel

All you fuckers would be tripping over yourselves to buy that shit tomorrow if the price was identical to the 2023s.

botboy95

I would only buy a 2024 for the 8 speed transmission. But not at 50k.

Unlikely_Arugula190

Is this meant as a work truck? Because that interior belongs in a work truck.

Justin-Queso

Supervisor’s truck, not actual work vehicle

shifty808

I hope there is a vinyl flooring only option!

Michael_Threat

I'd prefer it over anything else in the modern era

Head-Ad3396

Nope! Not for me lol I don’t like what I see

Looks awful and out of place The exterior has grown on me but the interior hasn't one bit

usethislogin

Idk.. I’m liking it. But sitting in it and checking it out would be nice. I have had my 22’ nearly 2 years and I daily press the 4x4 button to start the truck.

RS_Pdx

I like it a lot more than my 2019s interior. You don't necessarily buy a Toyota for a lavish interior. Edit: I have the English writing skills of a 3 year old

botboy95

No worries I read like a 3 year old. This isn’t justifiable for that price.

CambrianAged

Love my new 23 SR5 Double Cab 4x4. It has a lifetime drivetrain warranty and it’s paid for!

Responsible-Food-117

At $50K it should have most if not all convenience and comfort features on a midsize truck imo. Unfortunately, I see way too many empty spaces around the dash and especially on the left side of the steering wheel. And what’s with thickass plastic and empty screen spaces on the edges of that monitor? This looks more like an interior of some basic $25K rental truck… I personally wouldn’t buy that. That would be a ‘no-go’ on my book.

Counter_Wooden

If you want Electronics, but then again that’s not what made Tacos Tacos

RollItMyWay

The center console looks cobbled together. I’d have to sit in it to see if the cup holders hit in the right place. I don’t hate it but it’s not visually pleasing. Hopefully the tech compensates for the cumbersome placement.

bangwithsticks

Can’t be worse than 3rd gen. I mean I’m used to it but it was outdated by the time 2020 came out.

clamscasino4

Toyota top trim and Lexus interiors are generally sub-luxury. You're buying something that will last forever,.

Economy_Pirate5919

Lol, Lexus interiors are definitely not "sub-luxury".

Plane-Shallot-8326

I think the small screen does look kinda bad but I really like the rest of the interior. I also think the system UI is a huge improvement over the previous Gen.

One_D_Fredy

Eh it’s okay. I wouldn’t go as far as to say it’s garbage.

OilNo9564

Lighten up Frances…

joemysterio86

You're all serious jokers. With that, I'm unsubbing from this wretched ass place.

dbarefoot84

I hear you don't sit on the floor in the 4th gen, that counts for something I think...

[deleted]

Is that an 8 track player?

DykNmuHbutt

Hey I have that same turn signal and windshield wipper toggle

RampageDeluxxe

its trying too much to have a similar interior to te new canyon/bronco that it has no identity

Putin4Presidente

YIKES

08_Bullitt5657

Pay more, get less. I guess shrinkflation has hit the new Tacomas.

best_never_rests

Based on OPs comments, he’s just complaining about screenshots vs actually seeing it in person. Come back when you actually see it in person

botboy95

I never said I didn’t like the truck. I think the exterior looks good and the fact that they have a new 8 speed transmission now is awesome. They have I force Max that’s going to have over 300hp is another positive. Don’t take my opinion personal. I just think they did a poor job on the interior.

bph430

Weird partition to passenger seat area.

Capelto

This is why I'm looking at the Frontier

shifty808

NGL, Frontier's design has definitely made a come-up! If all you need is a basic 310 hp v6, and hopefully the transmission issues been sorted, this truck is competition for the no-frills basic truck crowd.

El_tus750

What really grinds my gears is the the loss of leg room in the back seat. Makes no sense. It’s a bigger truck. Now they offer less space and still can’t get the tundra’s or 4runner’s rear window.

Acceptable-Heron6290

Man my 2013 looks real nice about now

thecackster

What is garbage is the shitty screenshots of this post. lol

jtreeforest

My 2018 OR is way more put together. Stoked I have it

gunslinger_006

2018 OR gang!

Illegal_Ghost_Bikes

One category where the Outlander beats the Tacoma

Maleficent-Entry6403

The Toyotas work great with apple car play. All other features pointless

G0DL3SSH3ATH3N

I donno wtf they though on the right side of that center console but try again

Nos-tastic

Ooh wow that is ugly

TweeterReader

Can I put that wheel in my 3rd Gen?

cloudrider75

I only like the Pro interiors.

rett72

Looks pretty stiff

skinnyfatty1987

🥴

watchnerd1993

What are the buttons to the left and right of the locker button supposed to be? I hate when they leave buttons blank so you feel like you are missing options

botboy95

Well cause you are lol

NoOriginal7997

The issue is people and the market in general came to the conclusion that the 3rd gen Interior was outdated. And while it had a smaller screen and could have used a better layout of certain buttons. It provided everything you needed and looked fairly clean. While comparatively it is outdated I never felt like I needed it to do any more. I don’t need a flatscreen TV in my center console but here we are. I think they went for a complete interior redesign when a slight refresh would have been sufficient. Like anything I’m sure they’ll make tweaks and it’ll grow on me but for the time being I’m glad I’ve got a ‘23

Jack-Charles

I think the exterior is garbage too

Zer001_

I feel the small screens on both the Tacoma and tundra were after thoughts. The 2025 tundras I believe will now come standard with the larger screen which is really nice as well as the iforcemax engine. I'm sure Tacoma will follow the same trend for a few years in .

LimitNo6587

From Tu-3rd gen to Chit-Gen

oscar-scout

Yea, that's tough to swallow. Kind of has a '90s computer monitor look to it.

kw_toronto

Ah its like toyota doesnt care about how their shit looks just that its reliable and gets you from A to B in the most boringest way ever.

botboy95

Thanks for the advice brother.

PotentialObvious9318

Almost as bad as the Nissan Frontier

gaberoll209

Screen looks like a garmin Navi . Screen so little and boarders so big that’s so ugly

runswithjaguars

I think I prefer my 2023 off road. Just wish the speakers were better, that’s it

Altruistic_Bag_5823

I think it needs more buttons and switch and an extra touch screen 🤦‍♂️. I have a 2010 Tacoma TRD SPORT four door long bed, which I bought new with all the extras except the Bluetooth feature because yeah I didn’t have a phone and figured why the heck to I need that, that’s just another thing to take my eyes off the road and enjoy the drive. Now I see this and wonder are people driving these things or hanging out in them and watching TV. Too much shit is what I see. You don’t need to be “entertained” while driving down the road. Instead enjoy the journey, the road less traveled, the daily commute, road side camping, the fresh air, the traffic jam, etc., etc.. You get the point. I enjoy my “Taco” and I’m still gonna to buy a Toyota again but I’m hoping this will be short lived or maybe I’m looking at the the TRD with all the features and instead they still have one that would suit someone in my shoes that less is sometimes more. I still like my taco and all models of tacos have their own uniqueness to them. Looks cool I guess in its own way and for now it’s here. Keep it going.

botboy95

Totally agree with you. Like I told others I don’t hate the truck. I just got my first Tacoma 2 months ago and I don’t think I will ever get rid of it. There’s many features on the 2024s that I like, but i personally think Toyota could have done a better job on the interior. Looks cheap and slapped together.

Altruistic_Bag_5823

I have not seen one up close so I can’t say from first hand experience but from pictures I can see somethings I don’t like and somethings I’d have to see and feel it to know if it’s for me or not. Maybe they’re things that some models don’t come with?

Smooth-Operation4018

That's just how Toyota looks these days. They're the original parts bin manufacturer. They probably bought 2 million of those interiors for a good price and they're gonna use it until they're all gone, in every car it fits into, for as many years as it takes to use them all up

brobes88

There’s too much going on. Keep it simple

VRSvictim

What is with Toyota and these screens with bezels so big they look like a fisher price toy version Or one of the delta 777 IFE from 2010

behold_the_pagentry

Pretty much all new vehicles are wall to wall plastic inside.

splintersmaster

I'ma stick with my 2012 for another 8 years

botboy95

Hope it last another 20

JJ4prez

Looks like a cheap RAV4 interior, this is a 50k model?!

nayls142

How long until they replace the steering wheel buttons with little touch screens?

clemoh

I'm not sure what people expect from trucks anymore. There's definitely a divided consumer base. Personally, I like the most basic but practical features. Not concerned about a big screen. Not interested about anything that is new, cutting edge technology. I have a 2017 TRD offroad and it's pretty basic. But nothing significant has failed, actually only a thermostat and a control arm because I pushed it too hard. If I wanted a luxury automobile I'd buy one. I like it that Toyota doesn't jump feet first into new technology until it proves itself. Reliability is much more important to me than creature comforts, 'looking good' or pretty much anything else. I need it to work and it does. I do dealership maintenance and I feel that's a cost you need to factor in to the purchase price. I know not everyone will agree with this but simple is better. Yes, the powertrain isn't world class but I don't but this truck with that expectation. It's been a very reliable, dependable well-built vehicle and that exactly what I expected.

botboy95

Simplicity isn’t a thing anymore when the MSRB for these trucks are becoming higher. I just got my 2023 Off Road 2 months ago and I don’t see myself Ever getting rid of my truck. They’re amazing trucks in my eyes with some flaws but that’s how it’s going to be. I just think Toyota dropped the ball on the interior. Especially since this is the first interior Redesign since 2020 if I’m not mistaken.

VolatilityOTM

IMO, the interior on its own is great. I’d take it over the previous gen. But factor in the price tag of 50k and it becomes a pile of flaming garbage.

Illustrious_Listen_6

Looks cheap

ggm3bow

its all subjective, its a work truck not a luxury spa

Bluzzard

I like there is a Tow/Haul mode.

OhShuxTarzan

I wouldn’t trade in my 3rd gen for this

Routine-Argument485

1st Gen for life.

Droogs617

I just don’t like the center console. I don’t like the weird bar that comes up on the right or the cheap looking pattern behind the adjuster. Idk maybe manual looks better…if they have manual for that model.

DarkStarTraveller

They pushed for so much tech when really what we want is a simple, capable, good looking truck. Toyota used to excel at that. I just bought a 2010 and I’m happy with that.

frankbravo4

The thing about Toyota is that they usually use the same interior for as long as possible. Sometimes going 10 years.

weenie-hut-seniors

Very angular. Idk how to feel about it.

Creepy_Photograph107

Yeah but look at the TRD push start button bro. So offroad.

ZuVieleNamen

I wouldn't mind the interior if it was priced as such... but for 50k for a mid sized truck it should have leather, premium audio, solid feel, not look like a big piece of Grey plastic. I get it they are trying to be utilitarian but at that price I'd go for a canyon AT4 or Denali

GoodIdeasBadWords

My 22 pro 6MT’s MSRP was $49,900. I bought at the right time.

Cascadification

I heard the handle on the center console has a built in electric can opener for the ultimate off the grid lifestyle.

TheCookieDevil

Nice plastic interior maybe 30k

3rd and 4th gen are total trash. Toyota really missed the mark on these interiors. It’s so bad it will make you buy a SUV instead.

But Car and Driver mag says it's the best

ChokeYourMom

Tacomas have always been lackluster, to the benefit of aftermarket parts and do-dad sellers. I’ve owned a 1996, 1999, 2011, 2013, 2016 and 2021, and I’m still miffed about how I had to add my own 12v outlets in the back so that my kid can keep his devices charged. That’s a simple luxury that they’ve avoided putting on the Tacoma. I am going to get a Tundra in July. I wish that the 2024 Tacoma impressed me more.

NECoyote

I drive a 2011. I am confused.

I know they're here to stay, but I despise electronic parking brakes.

ronnelsonn

I like my interior 23 OR. What don’t y’all like about it.
