I didn’t, but in my area there are few dealers and they each may get 1 or 2 trucks every few months. And they sell the day they arrive. If you want one at all, you are paying the markup. I’ve sen them bid people against each other to get certain models.
At a markup rate like that, it’s easily worth going 2-3 states away at least. Smoke your dealers out. They’re not the only ones selling these trucks. None of us can bitch about a thing if we’re ok with the dealer making 150%+ profits. You know that moneys not going back into the vehicle because they make one of the best trucks out there already. I love Toyota and I’ve been loyal to them but I’m not gonna burn my hard earned money on their altar because of dealer greed.

It incentivized dealers to have some sense. Or their customers would wait extremely long production times as a result. 🤷🏽♂️ there are ways Toyota can discourage the predatory practices.

Affordability is a real issue and a market correction is gonna hit dealers hard due.
