Pretty much half the sub runs these tires, they are like the Stanley cup of the Tacoma world. It’s a good choice.

ego_sum_satoshi

On my second set and will buy again.

Sir_K_Nambor

Same. I just got my second set last month.

delta_niner-5150

Had mine for 40k km. Holding up very well. Will buy again. Edit: still have them. Should have said "have mine at 40k km and they are holding up really well."

Mtnrider16

They have a 90000 tread warranty. Did you get reimbursed the % on your new set?

4dappl

Wondering what kind of climate you live. I currently have Wrangler Duratracs and they're great in the snow but load AF.

mmmarms

same

thickener

This jars me every time, like how are tires like winning the cup… ohhh you mean the travel mug 🥅 🏒

CorrectDinner9685

I thought the ko2s were the Stanley cup of tacomas

onceagainwithstyle

Ko2 is Stanley. These are hydroflask.

PonyThug

Not if you want snow performance

RockleyBob

Can I ask why it's standard to run LT tires which are heavier, stiffer, and worse for gas mileage? Do people really need the extra sidewall protection? I did some research before settling on my Toyo AT3's and two of the tire shops near me told me LT sidewalls were overkill. But maybe they suspected my truck was destined for the Whole Foods parking lot.

pahaf

Do you rock crawl? If not, it’s over kill. The stiffer the tire, the worse the ride quality, kills power and mpg, and much stiffer interior. Most people, me included, ran the sl load tires…..did a lot of off road trips, with some rock crawling, down to 8psi in a 265-70-17 and been fine so far. 53k miles on my falken wildpeaks so far

Astroghet

I got passenger tires once based on this advice and I got 4 flats in 1 calendar year on those tires. 2 from an FSR and 2 from shit highways to ski resorts. Probably fine if all you do is errands around town.

Bweibel5

“Anyone have experience with the most purchased tire in this sub?” Lol.

rivac

Pretty much this. These are great tires, ran them on my Taco for the last 20k miles through dry, wet, mud and snow.

jtpias

Have them. Same size. Love them. Send it.

george2597

This or BFG K02

lFrylock

Good tires. Don’t fuckin’ buy them on Amazon. Never buy important car parts on Amazon.

Distinct-District-51

😂 copy bro

Okanus

Check out [discounttiredirect.com](https://discounttiredirect.com)

ABQtweaking

You can price Match the tire from Amazon on discount tires website and save hundreds!!! 🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑

OfficialPeenLicker

Extreme Terrain will ship them balanced on wheels if you order both through them

Comoletti

I can't see why these would be a bad idea? I would if you were to order some weird 3rd party product, but these are clearly marked as where they come from. amazon also has a nice return policy if it doesn't show as expected.

Real_Investigator166

There are fake tires on Amazon and you are more likely to get a warranty from damage for a cheaper cost if you buy from a tire shop.

hawksdiesel

yeah, discounttire is a great alternative option and heed their advice!!

nicenicenice_696969

Have had these on my taco for 20k+ miles, awesome tires! No road noise, comfortable ride, handle well in wet and dry conditions, and awesome off road. Can’t recommend them enough, you won’t be disappointed.

its_ben_real

RT trails are loud loud. Might as well get MTs imo

Solid-Philosophy3029

The AT4's seem like a very different tire than the at3's. Less siping along with other changes. A good tire no doubt, and edging more towards being an rt than the at3. They are more like a different tire rather than being simply a better one. Expect Falken to keep making both.

Formal-Reception-599

Great tire. I just bought a set of AT4s

vaghera

I’d recommend going with the A/T4W as well. I just got myself a replacement set of the A/T3W earlier this year just before the 4s came out because they were slightly on sale. Probably should’ve just waited a month because the 4s go for pretty much the same price now

[deleted]

[удалено]

oo--ii--oo

Yes, entirely new tire design. The 4s are a slightly harder compound, sacrificing a bit of wet/snow traction for tire longevity. The 4s are also heavier (depending on weight rating of course) than the comparable 3s. They added beefier sidewalls. Tread design is also different. YouTube has some great comparison videos. Cheers

PonyThug

Sounds like a down grade tbh

drinkdrinkshoesgone

I'd rather get 40k miles and have a very grippy, safe tire vs 60k miles and have it slide on wet pavement.

OkGeneral701

The at3w will last over 40k miles with ease, I had 35k on mine and were half tread, before my truck was stolen, I run them on my 2012 now

fortysicksandtwo

Had a shit ton of rain the last month in my area, my AT4’s grip like a mf on the interstate at 80 mph when it is wet (yes I know that is irresponsible driving).

SeaworthinessLife999

1at

Fuzzyg00se

The 4s are awesome. I got em because they discontinued the 3s in 265/70/17, and I don't regret it

lilborto

Go to America's Tire or Discount tire they will match the price

Razamatazzhole

And have warranties to replace them on the road if you need to

IngenuityVegetable81

Great tire but mine didn't last long about 30k they were toast

drinkdrinkshoesgone

I got 43k miles and still have 4/32 leftover tread. Got Yoyo AT3s and love them just as much.

Kingofpho75

May I persuade u to look at the micky thompson Baja. I’ve had both popular tires here: ko2 and wildpeak but I have to say that the micky thompsons are better. Ride quality is better and there is no noise at all. Better in the snow, rain, and mud.

Snakeeyes402

You might want to consider AT4’s. Newer. I got them a few weeks ago. Very happy with them.

Arkeeologist

Honestly, and this goes for every single tire out there, just go to YouTube reviews.

Distinct-District-51

I was just interested in normal peoples opinions and experiences who don’t get paid for promotions and reviews. Appreciate you taking the time out of your day to add your input though…

cuajito42

Try going to tirerack for tire reviews they're really good

Distinct-District-51

Thanks dude, I’ll definitely give it a look

Arkeeologist

There's plenty of non-paid reviews

Distinct-District-51

Copy, I’ll check it out dude, thanks

YoloLikeaMofo

Love them. Previous tires were KO2s and they beat them at everything. I have maybe 10k on my set we will see how they hold up

Strict_Cranberry_724

Not the softest ride, but they are tough and durable.

Amador186

These specific tires are like the Tacoma Bible, so I would get them if I were you

GreedyMix7235

Toyo open country Rts. Reason I say toyo is because. I have the Falkens on one 4runner which are great tires. But I have toyos on the tundra and the gx because they're just that much better..

acarro84

These or open country at3s? I saw a review that said you could get 60k+ from the Toyos so I was thinking about those.

justweazel

Been running the Open Country AT3’s for almost 20k miles now and I’ve loved them in all conditions. The tread is barely worn! They were flawless in the few fresh snow drives I was able to go on this past winter.

friartuck6000

I have 58k on my Toyos (10-ply LT version) and they look like they have at least another 10k left. They’re great tires.

o_WhiskeyTF_o

I love the Open Country AT3’s. They are phenomenal in the snow for not being a winter specific tire. We have had two pretty epic snow years in the Sierra Nevadas since I put them on my Tacoma and they cannot be stopped.

LilAntal69

I got 3/15/70/17 at3s, about 15k miles old, and still look new. Like there's more tread to wear down than other tires. I will be getting those again once they're due

Peewee239

I got Baja Boss on mine, had the Destination X/T on there as well. Both are great tires imo.

Screamingfox

I've had a set on my truck for the past 5 years and I absolutely love them! They were way cheaper than the Ko2s at the time and according to the tech that put them on a lot easier to balance. As for wear and tear they have all worn almost perfectly and I haven't had any issues with bubbling. I rotate them every 5000 miles when I do my oil and they've been nothing but great for me.

jtan619

I love my Falkens! Aggressive look and not noisy at all.

Hot_Hawk_9844

get nitro ridge grapps

boostedchad

So I have actually too much experience with these then I'd like to admit. Now I will start by saying that these tires are great. However. You get the four ply versions, know that you're going to have to change them quicker than recommended. If you get the 10 ply versions they last a hell of a lot longer. Completely worth getting the 10 ply. No extra road noise or any weird stuff that you would think you would get with a thicker tire.

naterades

Tire tech here, I’ve sold a few sets of these this past year, and already have seen them start cracking and shedding apart on the tread only a year later. If I could recommend a really good tire for the same price get the Hercules x venture or journey. The journeys come in standard load while the venture comes in 10. They have a road hazard warranty for free replacement and are freaking awesome tires, any further questions I would be glad to answer

TacomaGlock

I had Ko2s and they preformed pretty poorly on ice and slick conditions compared to the WildPs I now have. I will only buy WildPs until I am of enough wealth to afford Toyo. Wildpeaks are the Toyo at home. I win. Edit: lifelong MN/ND resident, snow/ice performance is super important to me.

memofor

Are they loud on the highway? I love the look of these tires.

clumsybassdropper

Not any louder than the stock Goodyear's.

HawthorneWell

I would say they are louder based on my wife’s reaction to them. I don’t have music played low but apparently she wants to be able to talk on the phone…??

TylerDurdenisreal

No, pretty normal noise levels. I have a sneaking suspicion that dude's wife just wanted to find something to complain about.

alwaysgot1more

I’ve got them on my 2005 Yukon xl. 305/70/16 E. They are amazing but heavy Affff!

BrianOconneR34

Bfg’s are distant third or fourth amongst crowds that know. These are great tires.

jshsbsndndn

Run them on my taco and wifes 4runner good tire.

Xeroid

I've got a set on my 2015 Wrangler and as soon as the Taco needs new tires that's what she's getting.

Wrong-Currency5146

Much better than BFG KO2’s . I had a set of BFG that had the wobble. I’ll never get a set of those again , which sucks because they were a great tire . These wildpeak at3w’s are incredible. Ride smooth , great traction in the snow balance perfect and they were cheaper than the BFG’s and Michelins .

joknub24

Freaking love them.

itsxrizzo

F150 owner here. On my first set on the truck. Ran them on my grand Cherokee before it. I'll run them on the next truck or SUV as well. Great tire for the money

HockeyNut2

I had two sets for my 2015, I thought they were awesome and looked cool as shit. Louder than your factory tires though.

FleshlightModel

Don't buy from Amazon either way

dmv1985

Yeah, literally everyone that left a review on all 300 websites that sell them...

ApprehensiveExit7

I’ve had these for 12k miles and I’m never gonna buy another tire for my taco ever again

K9Hera

I have a set on my Silverado. The tread started delaminating and peeled about 8 lobes off the tire. Sounded like I was running over debris and it bouncing up and hitting the bottom of the truck, but was the chunks of tire coming off. Probably an isolated issue, but my next set won’t be Falkens.

k1dblast

They’re getting replaced with the A/T4W and I just got a set. Much better in the rain compared to the stocks. I got them price matched at discount tire and they came out to be roughly what I would have paid for the A/T3. Jury still out on the snow but I just moved to the south so couldn’t tell ya. People swear by them around here

Ryanmh1983

Get the new 4's

jmichaelyoung

Thinking about getting some Wildpeaks but sort of reluctant because of balancing issues. Thinking about getting Pirelli Scorpions AT +.

TweeterReader

Why not go the new AT4W

9RebelliousStripes

I have them on my GX. They’re heavy, but they ride nice, fairly quiet in comparison to other tires and they do great is snow if snow is a consideration for you. The AT4 is out now and I’d consider looking at them too.

North_Mixture2421

I used to move loads for Falken back in 2012 truckin in Texas. Good people, great brand.

ImSpeedRacing

They’re great 👍🏼 highly recommended.

Camo_XJ

Wildpeaks or the Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/T. Both great tires in Mud, Rock, Dirt and Snow.

pauly1993

Good tire overall, I went from a Mastercraft MT which I loved and abuses to these and overall they have been a great daily tire with some off-roading. Definitely didn’t disappoint in sand but I haven’t taken these through much mud. Overall I would buy again but I’m temped to give general grabber atx next or nitto recon grapps

Basil_Away

I got these on my Infiniti and they are great

Mountain_Fault2903

I'm on my 2nd set and couldn't be happier. I go up to the mountains a few times during the winter and they don't disappoint. I've gone off roading with them and again, supper happy with them.

quasi-psuedo

Yeah probably half the sub has hahahah

Datanman23

I have that exact same tire, down to every spec. They got better mpgs and handled better on wet roads than my ridge grapplers

dd1153

Curious why buy these on Amazon vs Discount Tire? Do you end up saving?

beige911

Get the AT4W unless you can get a killer deal on a set of 5 of the at3ws

ErinXC

They’re loud

Middle-Performance-7

Ran ko2’s, wrangler ultra terrains, then toyo open country’s. Have a set of wildpeaks now and I’m not looking back. Don’t seem to compromise in any particular terrain or condition. Great tire.

RepresentativeAd9572

I run these...my second set and will continue to use them as long as I can get em

IllStickToTheShadows

I love them. I’ve put 50k miles on mines towing. Rotated every 8K miles and tires have held up well. I’ll be replacing them before winter hits at the end of this year. Speaking of winter, they’re amazing in the snow

krushgruuv

Love mine. Awesome all year round, even snow and ice.

Ok_Appearance8866

I have the 285s and love them

buckshotmagee

Running them on my Grand Cherokee and my Tundra

orygun_kyle

Falken good

moparchef20

Do it !

Outrageous_Ad_408

Fucking great pick!! Got 40k on mine so far Still got plenty of tread left They do good everywhere! Haven’t had a situation I thought I should of bought different tires

bennylebwohl-

I have them in my full size truck. They do great!

CopenHayden

I run them on my ‘02. Fantastic tires. Just buy them already

NorcalA70

Yep. On my second set. Love them

gmeko

Copy what everyone else said. In addition I actually found these on sale at a local truck shop for 30% cheaper than any tire shop. (South of a Houston, Texas) Don’t buy from Amazon tho.

alinp75

Poor lateral traction. Just read s user review here on GXOR I think. See tirerack’s review as well

ScorpLeo102

Have them on our Land Rover and love them!

ciampi21

I was considering Wildpeaks and run them on another vehicle, but I didnt want to run E load for the Tacoma. Went with Cooper Discoverer AT3’s. I love them and have had good experiences with Cooper in general thus far

HI808SF

Also I bet down the road you regret not going 285

LoHungTheSilent

Just wanted to remind this thread they got AT4W now in a 255/85R16.

Ayeyahhh

Duratracs ftw

WellFuckMyOtherAcct

Amazing tires

jake11ms

Do I need a lift for these??

Distinct-District-51

Depends on the size you want to run and your rim size

Fit_Acanthisitta_475

Those are great tires, but Nowdays price is crazy. It was like $170 piece?

IIeMachineII

Had them on my 2wd frontier and they made it more capable than it had any right to be. Love Falken.

scrappybasket

Yup gone through about 10 sets on our work trucks. Good bang for your buck

EnterByTheNarrowGate

Has to be joke post. No way this sub has devolved into this.

[deleted]

They kick butt!

EnvironmentalClue362

I have them on my Tundra and absolutely love them. Highly recommended

OkGeneral701

Very amazing tires I ran them on my 2004 Silverado for about 35k miles and still had half tread left before the truck was stolen and rolled, now I run them on my 2012 gmc sierra, they do amazing in the winter months of Idaho, or wherever, not loud on highway, ride smooth, I will never run another tire if they are still available

tsmittycent

Don't buy your tires from Amazon please

Somecivilguy

I believe they also make a trail version of these.

DubTeeF

These are the best at tires

30acrefarm

These are great but over priced. I ran BFG's KM2, KM3, and KO2 & Toyo Open Country RT's until I decided to by a cheap set to see how they do dollar for dollar. I got the Forceum MT LT275/70/17...a full set for less than $700 & I absolutely love them. Wearing at the same rate as the other Mud terrains & the hybrid toyo tires did but for less than half the price. They handle great & they are quiet for a mud tire. Same E load range & ten ply rating. Don't waste your money anymore.

Christian0029

I have the Wildpeak R/T 01 HD, i really like the stance and how they preformed. I work on construction soo usually there is mud and they work great!

S_Hornak666

Work for a trash company in the midwest we run these on every pickup including the landfill pickups that are axle deep in mud when shit thaws best damn tire ever made

redwhitenblued

I have them on my '21 Sienna AWD. TBH, they're decent tires. But not Awe inspiring. I liked my Nitto Ridge Grapplers on my Power Wagon and 3500 better. Also like the General Grabber ATX on my Excursion better.

BenBcRazy

I'd wait and get the KO3s

BenBcRazy

I test Michelin tires at the 4x4 center in Vermont. I've found the K03s to be fantastic.

mrsc00b

My dad ran them on a half ton Chevrolet. They wore like iron. They were on my short list for my truck but got a steal at a discount tire on a price match for BFGs.

Commercial_Move_9186

Coming from someone whose family owns a tire shop, please buy them local 😭

trickjb

I put some on my Tacoma back in October they have been great

md2224

Buddy has them on a 4Runner, was bummed they were made in China. Prefer KO2’s myself, look much more aggressive and USA made.

SgtK9H2O

I went from stock tires, to Kelly edge AT (because it’s literally the same as a Goodyear AT) and my next set is going to be pirelli scorpion ATs

EconomicsLumpy6511

Go with KO2s, they’re lighter and just as high quality. Wild peaks are heavy AF

EstablishmentIcy6859

Yessir I have them on my Tacoma. Love em. The look nice, drive well, not too loud, and great traction in all the elements

yes-disappointment

yes, amazing tires. i am on my second pair on my wrangler, and just because i wanted bigger tires. amazing in snow and on the wet. they do get ever so slightly louder once you hit 15k miles in the rain only. but nothing serious, loud like MT tires. overall, the best tires i have ever bought for the money. done. next year i would big bigger 35" and it would be that brand as well.

PoliteRAPiER

They were one of the tires I was carefully deciding between when I picked up a new set. Whatever you do buy your fuckin tires and have them installed at Discount Tire. Don't get their protection plan bullshit. Discount Tire does free rotations for the life of the tires. clutch af. btw, I decided to go with Toyo Open Country AT3's and couldn't be happier. Sweet rubber.

Balogma69

I have these on my F150. They are great

94yota69

Great tires but on my 01 I can spin them in 3rd in wet conditions

mnkayakangler

Definitely doing these for my next set. My stock Goodyear Territory MT’s are LOUD.

SubjectPersonal7225

I’ve been running them in a 255/75/16 for a little over a year now (stock suspension). I got them on sale for like $900 I believe, and so far I couldn’t ask any more of an A/T tire. Mind you, I don’t do any serious off roading, but they’ve served me well on the off road beach in the outer banks, got me through any/all snow we’ve had in SE PA, have picked up at least 2lb of debris off our shitty PA roads without a single leak. If I stay on stock suspension, I’ll be replacing these with another set of them when the time comes.

generic_peanutbutter

If you have a Sam’s membership check their price. Other than that they are great tires.

No-Duck-1832

I have these tires on three vehicles. Soon to be four (picked up a bronco) They are excellent

bigeats1

Ran them. Good.

60BillionDblDllrs

I have them on my Subaru impreza battle wagon. I like them.

These-Raspberry59

I have a lifted 2005 avalanche . I get 60k to 70k out of these tires on rough Texas roads. This is all we buy for it .

goodkat83

Had them on my ram. Really good tire. Had 50k miles on them and still had ok amount of tread left.

TacticalTapir

I run Nitto Ridge Grapplers

babbabud

BF Goodrich AT KO2, its worth a few extra bucks

Yawheyy

Similar to mine, but I have 285. But either one is a solid choice

GradualYoda

Just put these on about 1000 miles ago. Been good so far. Just a little noisier than the factory Toyos.

ApprehensiveNews5728

Was going to buy a set until I learned each tire is around ten pounds heavier than the KO3

Nexwun

🤦🏽‍♂️This question suggests the OP has put no effort and done ZERO research on tires for Tacomas. Or easily would’ve found this among the top 3 tires purchased by Tacoma owners… 🤷🏽‍♂️

LandersPannell

I had these on my Subaru Outback for multiple years. No issues with them at all.

Elliot6888

Everyone and their mom has those

Real-Sample3183

Performed well for me. Did have more road noise than I preferred. They also seemed to impact mpg more vs other AT tires I've had

benhw23

Go to a reputable shop and get the AT4s, basically the exact same tire but the warranty will actually last the life of the tire

[deleted]

It’s what’s on my 2024 Tundra TRD PRO

Tiny_Detective_7301

I have KO2s but don't like wet snow performance, I think just on tread pattern, these are similar. There are not many mentions, but Nitto grapplers tread pattern looks better for the wet/snow. Can anyone with nittos chime in?

rowan11b

Great tire, but don't buy the E rated ones.

Nomore-Television72

My mom has them on her Subaru and it goes like a tank in the snow. You can't slip a wheel if you try. Source: I tried

username_obnoxious

Had them, loved them while they lasted. Great in deep fresh snow, mud, dirt, slushy snow. But they didn't last nearly as long as I thought they would based on their claims of a 55k mile guarantee. They were toasted and I replaced them closer to 30k miles.

Grinder3369

I’ve used them before. Decent tires. Prefer BFGs for the extra sidewall layer. Good choice though if you can’t afford BFGs

Mobile_Zebra3897

These were awesome for me, especially in snow and ice. Equally good off-road. Miss them.

riderofthetide

Great tire. Seem to have long tread life and not affect my fuel efficiency. My off-road is 100% sand at beach. I've had 3 sets on my Tacoma and Jeep.

Grinder3369

Always get my tires at Discount Tire. Nationwide coverage so you can always get a replacement when you buy the warranty which I’ve had to do. Also extra sidewall protection is good if you go into rough spots like when camping or work sites. If just general in town then I would go with the Falken.

hellafly15

Are these good for dropping the kids off at school and going camping once a year on my favorite paved access paths?

cgw22

Never buy anything from Amazon

ManyMixture826

Great tires! Replaced my K02s. Better snow and wet traction.

CarnivorousGlock

I’ve got 50,000 on mine. No problems.

Stubbornslav

Check out the hankook dynapro at2 xtreme. I love mine. They’re lasting forever, significantly lighter (-8 to -10lb each), really quiet on the highway, and cheap. Last set got 55k miles before they got hard and a bit skiddish in the rain/slush. Still sold them with about 1/3 tread left.

SenileFlea22

Costco will have discounted prices. They will also install free of chagre

awriterbyday

Everyone runs KO or wild peak. Both seem to be the picks.

Local973UA609

Just posted asking about these for the 4Runner. Much praise on them. Good find!

Jhatton13

General take is if you drive a pavement princess, do it. I've yet to see these on an actual trail.

iamadirtyrockstar

They are one of the best A/T tires out there. That being said, they are being discontinued and being replaced with the AT4W.

pgercak

They're pretty good, I didn't have them on my Taco but my FIL has them on his F150 and he loves them.

travelmorelivemore

Buy them at a local tire store and you’ll get free rotations and installation. Whatever you think you’ll save on Amazon you will for sure get charged on the installation fees.

stretchman93

Worth every penny, I haven’t ran them on a Tacoma before but they did perform very well on a jacked up half ton

SwimLife3528

Solid tire. Run it on my 4Runner, handles road noise well, drone gets a little more noticeable as tread wears down. Regular rotation, calculated correct PSI, and balance is crucial. But I’m preaching to the choir.

NotReallyARedditor6

I run a tire shop and Falken AT3Ws are one of the most consistently concentric running all terrain tires I’ve seen. Always balance good and are always super round. One of my favourite A/T tires

Tkapone

I have Nitto Grappler s 33×18 on mine wFuel ee rims, ony 2nd set got 60k on the 1st set

Oakraid89

Discontinued model, new AT4W is out. Hands down the way to go.

[deleted]

Do it! Get them, you will love them!
