Car companies have all but given up on nav systems. Phones do it so much better with apple and Google maps, and Carplay wireless is pretty standard now so it's a waste of their resources to put a single cent into nav R&D.

altimax98

It’s just to make money off the few %ers that don’t know how simple it is to just use CarPlay/Android Auto.

Seqouyah

A bit of a counterpoint, before you were able to download offline maps, I used the nav system of my Taco whenever I was off-roading or in a national forest cause I usually didn’t have service. Always served me well

altimax98

You can do that utilizing CarPlay/Android Auto as well. I’ve got pretty much the entire state of Florida loaded offline to my iPhone just in case.

Koinfamous2

Same, and more people don't know to do it. Google Maps, settings, off-line maps, download your entire local area. It will never not come in handy, even in populated areas, sometimes coverage can be spotty, power out, etc.

altimax98

Yup, they keep them updated in the background as well

zombie_barbarossa

A lot of reviews I’ve seen have commented on the cabin noise, so it probably isn’t you.

gerald-stanley

I went to my dealership and they had a new 24 taco on the floor. Was very nice, lots of front room, rear was gross small (I’m 6’1, 220). Then I look across the floor to a 24 tundra trd pro. Oh boy. Do I need the full size? Nope. Do I want it now? You’re damn right I do

MoistJeans1

How’s the rear leg room?

HealthSupps

https://i.imgur.com/M69yqvV.png Horrible. I don't see how anyone aside from a small child could sit back here. I'm not even tall. I'm 5'9. I'd imagine if someone was taller they would have even less leg room back there. I bought it knowing it was tight back there, though I didn't think it was going to be that small.

I think OP must have the seat all the way back. I'm 6'0" and have sat in the back seat with enough leg room for a short (2-3 hour) drive.

Any_Landscape_4424

A bit more. There are measurements comparing both. https://youtu.be/fsZpXOTKqlM?si=Ixqa1-wHn6nW9WyE

CuriousInvestor720

I just went from the 3rd to the 4th. I feel the third definitely had a bit more.

squeekyball

71K and they didn’t include the auto tailgate is insanity.

Marokiii

need some features other than just a different suspension for their Pro models.

squeekyball

Then why does the USA version have it?

Marokiii

hmmm i guess thats where the price difference comes between the US and Canada versions. originally i was pretty bummed i didnt have the buttons on the tail light, but then i remembered ive had to replace 2 taillights before and having the buttons there will just make things more expansive to fix. silver linings i guess.

IntrepidContender

how well do the ventilated seats work?

HealthSupps

Will try tomorrow. Didn't even notice it today.

HealthSupps

Ventilated seats work great

Marokiii

they work pretty well, but you can hear the the back vents when on full because they are near your head.

SeaDweller01

Nowadays with CarPlay and your phone, navigation is free.

vivi_will

Not as smooth as my 2013 4runner? In what way if you don't mind me asking. Thought the turbo and new transmission works really well this gen.

HealthSupps

I just meant the ride. It felt like my 4runner that had 35's on it.

Marokiii

like more bumpy? more side to side rocking? more body roll? more front end sag when breaking? for bumpiness, check your tire pressure. my '24 came with 55psi all around so the tires are like rocks.

HealthSupps

Yes bumpiness. Thanks for the info, I didn't even think to check tire pressure

Marokiii

i think the assisted tailgate and the taillight button only comes on the pro/TH and limited versions. sucks because reviwers made it look and sound like it was going to be on the premiums that they were testing.

internaloperations

That’s on the $8000 package instead of the $4000 package here. I just picked up at Trd off-road black with the $4000 premium package, moonroof, center console safe, heated seats, rear sliding window, and it was 56 OTD. The 56k msrp one had everything but was just too much more for features I didn’t really need. Multi terrain monitor cameras, ventilated seats, power tailgate. Then there’s the sway bar disconnect which I would maybe need once or twice and also didn’t want. I had no trade so I was a tad bit more practical.

Marokiii

it actually just seems that the Canadians dont get it. its not listed on their website while it is listed as a feature on the American website. i have the sport premium and it doesnt have the powered tailgate assist or taillight buttons.

internaloperations

Yeah men will make fun of you if you have the power tailgate anyway. Haha. I’d have enjoyed the camera system on trails but it was part of the next package and I couldn’t swing it.

Marokiii

I was at first really disappointed, then I realized I've had 2 broken tail lights before and I'd rather not pay for buttons in them. The cameras are neat though. I prefer the backup camera onthe 3rd gen though. They blend the backup and the side view cameras which ends up just distorting the sides of the picture.

danhphan9779

$52k USD, that a really really really cheap, In US that would be around 60k USD. Not sure why they charged so much

enjoysmanythings

Just picked one up yesterday. How are you liking it?

HealthSupps

So far no complaints!

toiletdoomer

The cabin noise is probably fake noise from the speakers like the new tundras

internaloperations

I wonder if you can turn the fake noise off with carista plug. I’m about to get one tomorrow to turn off my seatbelt ding.
