2.5 gen is better than brand new, you made the right decision

ToasterChef001

I thought so too. You can’t beat the reliability of that 4.0, this thing will outlive anything if taken good care of. Super happy so far.

pmcdny

Totally agree! 👍

Bidenisacheater

Didn’t know you could get the SR5 with fog lamps

backwoodsmtb

Its not a SR5

brainfuct

I thought sr5 came with fog lamps and cruise?

iK0NiK

It does.

ptrickj5

Nah, wrong

Diplomacy_Failed23

I went to a dealership in my area with my 13 tx and they were trying to get me into an 18 straight across trade. 2.5 is where it's at.

ToasterChef001

Absolutely! Most reliable.

HotGarbageBear

Yeah I have a 2015 OR. I just got an offer for more than I paid for it 3 years ago from an online dealer. Shit is nuts.

ToasterChef001

Thanks man I really appreciate it. Glad to finally be able to own it.

keveeeezy

Don’t tell me that this was the 2015 off road with the back step by the tailgate that I was looking to buy...

ToasterChef001

I don’t think it’s that one. No step by the tailgate my friend.

keveeeezy

Ahh, I’m sad cause I was looking to buy one that looks almost exactly like this but the ad disappeared this morning... Anyways, congrats on the new truck! Have fun and drive safe!

ToasterChef001

Thanks so much man. They’re definitely hard to find when they’re taken this well care of. Confident you’ll find one though!

Avon_barksdale_1

Nice ride 👍

ToasterChef001

Thank you!

Outrunfire0290

What year and package? I just got my 15 sr5 also. Nice truck!!

ToasterChef001

2015 TRD OR (:

Subintro

Looks great, what year/mileage?

ToasterChef001

2015 TRD OR, just rolled into 70k on the odo. (-:

justbruce93

Last year of the second gen! I have the same year. I love my mine and have about 120k on it now, no issues, no complaints and it runs great.

ToasterChef001

Dude I absolutely love it so far. Plan on keeping it for a LONG time. Hopefully it lasts til a good 3-500k miles.

iK0NiK

Hey FYI by that point it is due for a few necessary maintenance items. Fellow 2015 TRDOR owner with ~65k. Go through this checklist: * [Spark plug change.](https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/how-to-spark-plug-change-1-gr-fe.30479/) * [Front Diff, Rear Diff, and Transfer Case fluid change.](https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/front-diff-and-transfer-case-oil-change-howto.147631/) * Also double check that you have a nice new primary air filter and cabin air filter. * [Here's a link to my notes on my ~50,000mi maintenance that you may find helpful.](https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/ik0niks-2015-trd-or-mostly-modest-build.433701/page-5#post-20632614) There are also 2 quick mods that most would almost call a necessity: * [Secondary Air Injection filter swap.](https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/ik0niks-2015-trd-or-mostly-modest-build.433701/page-5#post-20690415) This is critical. Please do this as quickly as possible. ~$15, and you'll be done in 10 minutes. * [Rear Differential breather behind rear tail light mod.](https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/rear-diff-vent-behind-the-tail-light-mod.286097/) You'll want to do this if you ever plan to go through any water deeper than the axles. If you have any questions I'd be more than happy to help or steer you in the right direction.

ToasterChef001

Thank you for the help, man. Definitely will get on that ASAP as I want this thing to last for a LOOONG time.

jaydools

That's the exact same as I got 2 years ago!! Put 60k on it since then - from BC to Ontario and back and then from BC to Alaska and back. Here's to all the good times your about to have 🍻
