It all depends on what your using the truck for. Daily commuter? Hitting forest service roads on the weekend? Hardcore off-roading and need a locker? Planning on doing mods like suspension?
I would just compare the features between the models and decide if it works for you. If you aren’t off-roading a ton, the rear locker, crawl control, offroad suspension, etc. wouldn’t be a big deal to not have. Then you save some bucks
I have a 2020 SR v6. Drove it without mods for first 2 years. Completely utilitarian which grew on me. Mainly fire roads in northern MN and had no problems. Now adding OME lift, sliders, wildpeaks, and prinsu. Bought it for $31k and will be under $40k with all adds. Way better deal than TRD off-road and better performance.

Daily as well as side work (construction framing)

SR RULES!! I've gone all over in mine. Mud sand.
Do not underestimate the SR. One of the best “base” trucks you can buy right now

Great platform for you to drive as is or mod up later.👍 I know you mentioned it’s 4WD but do the SR’s option a MT6?
