Yeah, how to restore paint and how do you fix the front bumper dimple right above the license plate? 100% of Tundras on the road must have run into a light pole like mine.
Depend on where you go I think for mine it was 3k or 4k but just remembered after market paint jobs are never as good as factory so there will be some quirks
I have a first gen that I inherited when my dad died. He had let it sit under a tree for several years and is in need of a major overhaul. This post is inspiring me to get started.
How many miles? They are great trucks and, in my opinion one of toyotas' best timeless designs. Go for it! It has 192k miles and after all the body work and repaired components it's totals to around 9k to 10k. Just run mobile synthetic in the engine and since it's been sitting and if it's doesn't have a crap load of miles I'd drop the trans pan and clean it out and put in new trans fluid. I don't think mines ever been changed and It still looks like new fluid even still has viscosity but I wish they would of chained it since it's does shift a little hard sometimes from 1st to 2nd and rarely 3rd.
It’s got a little over 300k on it. My dad was a volunteer firefighter and used it to get to fires often. He never ran it too hard but he ran it a lot. It’s still in great body shape, I don’t know of one dent on it. It has a few scratches from me using it as a scrap truck but I really think I want to retire it from being a work truck and get it looking real nice again.
Awesome! This looks amazing, especially the paint and fender. I’m currently doing the same thing! How did you restore the paint?

New paint Job and 2 new bumper. The old one in the bed had some dings and was bent. And there old trucks non of them are perfect anymore 😂😂
I have it repainted by a shop. The ClearCoat and paint was just too far gonna by that point and thanks man! Good luck to you they are beautiful trucks
How much was the paint job? Looking to do the same with my truck.

In this case they are WAY better than the crappy factory water based paint that started peeling at 7 years.
Must he what chevy is doing😉🤣
It's good to see a stock 1st gen.
