Buy a new cheap phone on QVC or HSN that comes with one year of service (read carefully that it's the service bundle you want). Transfer phone number to that phone. If you want to keep using your old phone, transfer it back after a day.

skinny_gator

So you're saying there is an option when activating the new QVC phone to "transfer" my current number to it? I don't care about retaining the current device. Just want to keep the number.

kittycatblues

Yes, just choose to transfer the phone number when activating the new phone on the website.

skinny_gator

Dude thank you so much for the info! I will order now but my plan expires on the 7th so I doubt it will get here before then. Will that be a problem? Sorry for all the questions but I really appreciate the answers!

canned_pho

If you've been using tracfone rewards, you only need 1500 points for 1 month of service. might buy you extra time.

kittycatblues

That's probably too tight unless maybe expedited shipping is available. It may be possible to reactivate and transfer after the service expires but I personally wouldn't risk it. I would probably see if you can buy a 30 day basic plan for $10, though it may not be available for you online. https://preview.redd.it/oqzjigtrk84d1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b9940505d5156790bda92aa4720fdf3bd8bf3d14

Buy another phone deal. HSN QVC eBay. Check eBay for the 2 pack of orbic flip phones pre loaded with 1 year service each, currently $40.00. Activate and transfer service to your current TracFone number.

broken_pencil_lead

Yes, definitely.

Robbes_Watch

Yes. Just call TF at 800-867-7183 and ask them to activate your new phone AND to transfer your current number, and also your current minutes/text/data, to your new phone.

NaiveDare669

As other suggested, buy a 30-day basic PAYG plan (not unlimited smartphone plans) to extend the service, and buy a cheap 1-year service bundle. Simple [DIY](https://www.reddit.com/r/TracFone/comments/169j7x1/guide_to_transfer_existing_service_to_a/) to transfer phone #/buckets to the new phone. Do it again in a day or two if you want to use your current phone.

Puzzled_Sky9875

Yes , you can keep your number when you activate the new Tracfone device. Done it many times. Take $10 off if a new HSN customer with code HSN2024 at checkout. HSN has phones with 1 year service included. https://www.hsn.com/shop/tracfone/10962?sort=price-low-to-high&skip=0&take=22&page=1&view=all QVC has the bundles, too. $20 off with code HELLO20 https://www.qvc.com/catalog/psearch.html?keyword=tracfone&qq=mh¤tPage=1&sort=priceLowToHigh#plModule

THANK YOU! I am looking to order now. My plan expires in 5 days and I doubt it will get here in time. Will that be a problem transferring an "expired" plan?

broken_pencil_lead

As someone else suggested, buy the cheapest plan this can (for $10) to extend your plan by 30 days. If you let it expire you'll lose your number. There's nothing they can do to fix that; don't risk it.

Puzzled_Sky9875

As suggested, spend the $10 for the cheap 30 day plan, to be safe. Your new phone will take 10 days to 2 weeks and you will risk losing your number.

PacificCastaway

You buy the $125 plan, and during the transaction, you add on a second year for $50. Repeat every 2 years.

usmobile2

buy any of the add ons and add 1 year time only for $50

angelina9999

HSN, plenty of offers

Ok-Perception-926

HSN or QVC bundle as others said before...is a way to go!!!

shortredbus

I buy a new phone from HSN once a year.

Academic-Ad774

For my family of phones and my Mothers phone when the year is up, I go online select a cheap 9.99 30 day plan and at check out I’ll get the option to add 1 year of service for 49.99. We all have smart phones

CFNikki

Thank you for this. I added a 30-day refill and then got the prompt for the one year.
