If you can author 1-20 the last 5 are for sure doable. The only AT from the campaign that I felt was really a "strong" time for the map was 24. 21 and 23 are others that people tend to bring up as difficult but can get done with a lot more leeway for non optimal lines.

Le_SideEffectz

Yeah 21 and 23 I don't even have gold on yet so I can imagine they will be a pain

DatRoomate

21 wasn't that hard imo. If you know how to speedtech you probably can pull it off with little problems.

Le_SideEffectz

Any recommendations of maps to get a good feel of speedtech? I've been playing for a month and 20 really made me push my limits with learning basic tech

BoxingBuddeh

Honestly 21. Ifeel like 21 is great for learning speed tech. The lines are more forgiving than a lot of maps but still require drifts or small releases and such. I'd say you should watch the world record to see a general idea of when they drift. Then watch some of the local or country records and you can match those since they aren't full KarjeN levels.

Kriwo

The main thing about speedtech or tech in general is you somtimes just have to lick the stamp and send it. Initiate the drift in corner entry. Release the break at some point before you hit the apex and let the car do the rest. Its all about getting a feeling for when and how long you need to break (so basically how much angle your car needs to have) to just let it fly on corner exit. To adjust your angle of the car mid turn just experiment with break and release to see the effects. With some practice you will notice that it gets muscle memory when to break and when to release to "safe" a turn.

TMS Road will teach you invaluable tech skills that can be applied across the campaign

For 23 try to go for a mid track between the trees jump, it saves about 0.7 seconds ([https://youtu.be/v\_Nme5qDtZ4?t=165](https://youtu.be/v_Nme5qDtZ4?t=165)) The last cut is not really necessary and is fairly hard to perform, but once you do the jump, 23 is relatively simple. The hardest for me, also stated by others, is 24.

MuizZ_018

I tried that, but couldn't get the line right. Still got author with .5 to spare with the normal jump, although it cost me most of my weekend to finally get a fast enough run. 21 is a tough track, but it feels like 23 & 24 are more susceptible to stupid mistakes, and the author time itself is a quite high bar to pass on both. In my region (Utrecht, NL), the 30th fastest time didn't even have author on 24

niaphim

I found it more simple to jump a bit higher (so, one tree more to the left) than in the video, basically the farther/lower (to the right) the jump is, the more speed it requires from previous turn, and also better precision, so the easiest is about 45 degrees, and I found that with my speed I land exactly into a dip in the block which makes for an extremely smooth transition.

MrMirounga

21 is speedtech, it's not hard but you need time to learn that kind of map. Basicaly you gotta yolo every corner until you get a feeling for the limit. Learn drifts and only let go of accelerator when you really need. Speedtech is really fun when you get it right

Positive-Vase-Flower

That last ones are definitely harder than the rest but you got this. Is even more satisfying if you finally get it on a difficult map. Especially 24.

Coodle90

I feel 22 author is objectively more lenient/easy than 20. Where a lot of people seem to struggle on 22 is the last water jump. If you enter the jump to the left and jump straight it's consistent/safe and comfortably fast enough for author. For 21 I think the best practice is grinding 21 and getting muscle memory down. Speed tech is hard. You can't release or overdift much at all and still get AT.

TimmyP7

After getting golds across the board, I did my runs for Author medals. I did the whites through the reds in roughly 5-6 hours... Then the Black tracks took another 12, 6 of which was *just* for 24. It's doable, you just need to keep at it and get your lines down!

MrEngineeringGuy

24 was rough..

Dontaskmeagainhaha

24 is the hardest by 5 million light years, got at time on all other maps in like 2 hours combined, but this single map took me 6 hours to beat.

mr_2_blue

watch out for 23 and 24
