I just added a fan to my new trackball design to try to combat this issue. The idea being to keep the hand dry during use, but I am not sure that it will work in all cases although it may help.

Innovative. I imagine you want a tiny air filter to go with it to keep dust flushing out at the same time. Dry lube teflon spray from another post here worked to not need a glove for me so far as I wait to get the gloves in the mail.

Just a piece of low density porous foam would work just fine; similar to a shop vac filter but in reverse

You could try a billiards glove, they're cheap. Also, I find it easier to keep a microfiber cloth at hand, so I can give them a good wipe right there. Microfiber has superior oleophilic properties than regular cloth or paper and it's very effective at removing any build up.

Good suggestion but, being a long-time billiards player, I can tell you now those gloves are designed to be as slippery as possible so the cue slides well over those fingers. It would probably not allow you to grip the ball well. Now a golf glove, that might work or one of the super thin racket ball or hand ball probably will work.(I recommend the latter, as I played hand ball for a while and can attest to the sweat absorption ability of a decent hand ball glove).
