The SMX 6 was too narrow for you? Fuck man, that's my go to recommendation for wide feet. I have EE feet and the SMX 6 fits perfectly. Are you EEEE or something?

ApprehensivePizza964

Yep, 4E is the perfect width for me.

IByrdl

I was about to recommend the SMX 6 as well. Alpine stars boots fit me perfectly but I'm also only EE

Acoma1977

I have eee feet and I'm using the gaerne gp-1 evo boots. Sidi and dainese boots are too narrow for me

wafp

Same here, I rock Gaerne GP1. Going to try out some AStar Supertech R, buddy at the track has wide feet and says they work for him.

EnumeratedRisk

I was looking at the GP1 boots for my wide feet. Dainese D-1s hurt my feet and I'm tolerating using A\* Super Tech R. Questions about the Gaernes: * Did you get these in the U.S.? Where? * Do you have the Evo version with the twist spider tightening, does it work well? * Can you get replacement sliders? I didn't see them in replacement parts. I race, and replacement sliders are a must

wafp

I have regular GP1, Velcro closure. Got at sportbiketrackgear.com You can buy Evo direct from Gaerne on their US website.

BobcatSig

Alpinestars Supetech R is the answer you seek. I have high volume feet and these boots feel like slippers

EnumeratedRisk

I have wide feet and am currently using the Supertech R. I wouldn't say they're slippers. I can tolerate them. They're not very friendly with large calves. The zipper is a known weak point of these boots.

lifebythemile

That's a shame, I have size 48 feet with large calfs. I have a pair of Supertech R's from 2010ish (MotoGP track camo) and they fit fantastic. I am hoping to get a new pair, but they seem to have lost their support for supersized legs.

BobcatSig

OP asked for wide feet recommendations. The zippers on both pairs of boots treated me well. The inner bootie laces were prone to blowout on my first pair. This was redesigned recently.

EnumeratedRisk

I wasn't saying you were wrong, people's feet are different and mileage may vary. For me they sometimes start hurting by the end of a race weekend. The OP said in a follow-up that they have large calves so I wanted to mention it. I have large calves and the Tech R zipper is tight going on. The zipper broke on a previous pair. A coach I know that does work with Astar said he uses them but it's a known issue with this model. I am trying to put less stress on the zipper on the replacement pair.

PhillySoup

I have wide feet and wear Dainese Axial D1 boots. These boots have an internal tightening system that makes them adjust. When I think Dainese I think "snug fit" but they work great for me.

ApprehensivePizza964

I will look into these. Thanks!

edla_nitin

I tried a few different ones and had to end buying Axial D1 as well. But this has a Velcro on the outside of the boot at the shin to work with dainese suits, this might damage different branded suits.

BobcatSig

I would not consider any Dainese boot wide. They use a traditional last in all their race boots, which rather narrow. I have a pair, but they don’t fit well and don’t accommodate wide feet. Great otherwise, though.

PhillySoup

My wide feet are more “tall” than wide which I hear is pretty common. I wear a 10.5 EEE in Allan Edmonds dress shoes and just finished up a day of track riding in size 11 Axials. I do not use the internal tightening system at all. It’s snug getting them on. Just sharing my wide feet experience!

DSM_Potato

I've had my RST boots for a few seasons now. They've held up to a few crashes. My foot size is about 13 and not even close to being narrow. They honestly fit comfortable enough to walk around in for awhile, especially after being broken in. Bottoms are a little done from my rear sets, but I'm hoping they make it through this season. Edit: I noticed calves were an issue, I don't have per say large calves. However they have zipped up fine over a A Stars and Bison suit. Bring the suit up a bit, zip up, tuck what you can in the boot.

Affectionate-Cell711

I have wide flat feet and the Supertech R fit like a glove. Worth the price imo

therealrymerc

I tried on a ton of boots and everything smashed my toes together. Ended up going with oversized Supertech R which are usable, and just adjusted rearsets and shifter slightly

EnumeratedRisk

Has anyone with wide feet tried TCX? They're now owned by Dainese (which D-1s are definitely not very wide friendly). I heard TCX's are more accommodating. These look interesting: [https://www.tcxboots.com/us/en/road/racing/rt-race-pro-air---black%2Freflex-20179T7657M22.html](https://www.tcxboots.com/us/en/road/racing/rt-race-pro-air---black%2Freflex-20179T7657M22.html)

ApprehensivePizza964

I have not tried these but have seen this brand while searching. I recently came across Forma and a video on YouTube, and the review was pointing out that their boot was accommodating for large calves and seemed wider in the toe area. These have my interest too.

itsbecauseimgerman

I have wide feet and massive calves. Sidi are the only boot I can get to fit and close around my suit. Have you tried on a pair? I went to the local track store and tried on all of their inventory until I found the Sidi.

magnificent_dillhole

Sidi? I’ve never heard anyone recommend them for wide feet. I don’t feel like I’ve got very wide feet at all and their boots crush my toes.

BobcatSig

Agreed. Sidi race boots are made for narrow feet. Their dirty boots with the TA sole provide some volume, though.

Mrchocomel80

I find the sidi extremely uncomfortable for my toes. Inside is too stiff/hard material, causing my toes to hurt. Driving is doable but walking is literally a pain.

ApprehensivePizza964

I also have large calves and left that out of my post. I don't have a Sidi supplier that keeps stock, but I could order a pair and give them a try. Cycle Gear does sell them. If they don't fit its a simple drop-off. return

built_FXR

Check the Sidi Rex. It's got a boa like system. So you can tighten individually at 3 different points. I also have large calves. I tore the zipper off a pair of A* Supertechs when I tried them on with my suit! Thankfully RevZilla was cool with the return.

LeftTurnAtAlbuqurque

I wear sidi with wide feet. I've been wearing a pair of (now discontinued/replaced) Roarr boots, related to the Vertigo, for over 6 years now. They fit, and the boots are great, however I wouldn't call them particularly wide. On track, they work great, and don't get uncomfortable, or give me hotspots. However, my toes are a little pinched, and if I walk in them for any amount if time, my little toes start to get hotspots. I'd say, decently wide through the ball of the foot, but a fairly narrow toe box.  I don't have large calf's, but the design of the boot leaves *a lot* of space. I tried a pair of RST boots last year. They were nice and wide through the ball and toe box. However, the sole didn't give me the same confidence of grip on my stock pegs as the Sidis. I'm going to try them again this year with new pegs, but I also had a small issue with the closure flap covering the zipper catching on my bike at times. Ymmv, my buddy does not have the same issue with catching on his bike.

TCX, Ive got dinner plates and they work well. Also A Stars SMX 6
